Try petfinder.com. They have a list of all kinds of dogs, not sure if it's just rescues or not. https://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?location=Murfreesboro%2C+tn&animal=dog&breed=Chocolate+Labrador+Retriever&age=baby&age=young&filtersUpdated=false&distance=50&name=

Unknown temp and exact elevation, so using sea level and 59°, bullet wins by just under half a second in zero wind, if my math is right. . (Not a professor)

For an urban GHB, if you aren't going to have to cover a huge distance (<25 miles), and its just you, I would keep the bag "fast and light". I wouldn't plan on camping out. The more ppl realize things have gone south, the worse things would likely get imho. My list is: Everyday backpack, nothing flashy/tactical and probably neutral colored; extra pair of clothes/ shoes/boots if you have to wear dress/business casual during the day; good knife, multitool, multiple Powerbars and water, few pieces of hard candy, FAK, gloves, couple of black/brown garbage bags, small roll of duct tape, small quality flashlight, lighter, a reasonable amount of cordage, small pepper spray and sidearm of your choice. Adjust clothing to match reasonable climate expectations, but again I'd try to keep it light.

Female cardinal banging on my window... how to stop?
Shorty replied to jgradyc's topic in General Chat
Life like rubber snake. Make sure to secure it though or a larger bird may try to fly off with it. Worked for me when I had birds trying to nest on my window siles. Took a few go arounds. -
Arm up a couple of Fire Scout UAVS like a mini Apache and go to work. They already developed them, might as well have some fun with them.

Out of curiosity, what range around here goes out to 900, the range in Como maybe? MSSA stops at 600 unless I missed an update.

Truck carry Where to hide a handgun
Shorty replied to Ray Z's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Depending on the model of truck you have, and are willing to spend a little cash, Tuffy may have an underseat drawer that mounts using the seat bolts. Seemed a little more secure to me than in my console. -
Have you checked Sportsmans Warehouse in Southaven? They have a wall of materials towards the back.

It's been a while since I looked, but I wanna say the 300blk forum had a lot of "recipes" in their hand loads section if you don't find a good on here.

He looks like he's rearing to go. I can't wait til my little dude is able to hit the woods.

Well for reference, Primary Arms put them on sale today for $180 for the short action stock.

Keep an eye on the Primary Arms website. The Magpul Hunter 700 goes on sale periodically. My buddy and I both picked up one with magwell and sling mounts during one of the sales. Total price for everything was only about $10 more than the everyday price for the stock. It did seem to tighten up everything a little on my 700 sps tactical. As for the Vortex, I guess I am one of the few that hasn't been thrilled with my Viper, at least not the warranty. Initially it was awesome, great clarity, performed as expected and was a great price. After a particularlly cold hunt it developed a haze on the outer edge at the higher magnifications. Sent it back to Vortex with description of issue and included pics just to be sure. When I got it back, the invoice stated all they did was cleaned the lens and that the haze was normal as scopes age (3yrs old). I guess I could have gotten a lazy tech working on my scope but I wasn't that impressed. I may try sending it back one more time just to see. Or I could do what my buddy suggested and drive over it with my jeep and then send it back lol.

Except that Vice "President" is misspelled, so.... Then again, it is a porn site.

I'll see your squirrels (little rat bastards) and raise you a young doe and 2 box turtles. Getting about too damn hot to sit out here for something else to maybe come along.

It's keymod instead of mlok, but a couple of buddies have this Seekins. They say it's fairly light. If you watch the site, it goes on sale occasionally. http://www.primaryarms.com/sppakm15/p/sppakm15/

Technically true, but the coral is identified as poisonous by the color pattern not the eyes. And there's no way that snake could be mistaken for a coral.
-
Round pupils, so it's not venomous. Kinda looks like a Northern Water Snake, but it could be something else.

**WINNERS** Christmas in July - TGO Benefactor Giveaway
Shorty replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Thank you! Merry Christmas -
Put a life-like rubber snake on you window ledge. Might want to tie some string to it in case one gets brave and tries to carry it off. Or get a thin strip of wood and some brads/nails and make on of those repellent strips that keeps the bird from landing on the ledge.

Well, Burgess Falls trails are all shut down for repairs so you can't get to any of the good stuff. Looks like Cummins Falls and Rock Island it is and anything cool in between.

TN Attorney General Opinon On Park Property
Shorty replied to 300winmag's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Towards the bottom of their list of rules at the entrance it says no firearms, but I haven't seen an actual gun buster sign if memory serves. -
Fall Creek Falls is on the list to check out. This will be our first year hiking with a little one in tow so we will probably have to change the types of trails we're used to doing.

The wife and I have been thinking about heading out East to do some hiking and check out some waterfalls. We're thinking we'll stay in Cookeville since it's close to Burgess Falls and a couple of the other ones we want to check out. Are there any areas we need to avoid in Cookeville? We've only passed thru and never really stopped for any length of time to get a feel for the area. Anything else worth seeing since we'll be there 2-3 days?
