  1. Ditto here, kinda. I play bass at church and played bass in some bands in college, but when I'm just playing at home for myself, it's always guitar. Loud, cranky, and with lots of gain! I just have one 5 string bass, but I have 5 guitars. (Had over a dozen at one point, but that was silly) I'm much better at bass because I don't have to fool with chords and stuff, but I like crunchy riffing on a guitar best!
  2. Awesome. TGO David and I were just having a conversation this morning about how awesome the 3rd gen autos are! Congrats!
  3. Would a Maverick at Academy meet the definition of cheap? Mine was great. I miss it.
  4. retracted - brain fart
  5. aftermarket traditionally-rifled Glock barrels aren't incredibly expensive. Have you looked into the Lone Wolf stuff? Just pay the extra $10 to not have that goofy logo in the top of the chamber! Hmm.... the jacket stuff looks interesting. I've never seen that before. Thanks for showing it to me!
  6. ??? Never heard of that before. Got links? In the cheaper jacketed bullets, the jacket is stamped on after the bullet has been cast. Even if you could pour a jacket full of lead, I'd bet those would be some ugly bullets and uniformity would be hard to accomplish as well. If there were some such machinery to help with the process, that sounds like you're right back to doing as much work as sizing and lubing. Please post up whatever links you have about this, you've got me really interested now!
  7. ??? Do you mean the copper jackets, like jacketed bullets have? Adding jackets to lead bullets is not something you can just "do", unfortunately. You can add gas checks to the base of the bullets to help prevent leading or excess burning of the lead for hotter loads. Like this: http://www.midwayusa.com/browse/BrowseProducts.aspx?pageNum=1&tabId=1&categoryId=8658&categoryString=9315***685*** Sorry dude, I don't think you're going to have an easy way out, here.
  8. cool! That's good news. Have you been happy with how it feels, shoots, etc? (minus ruining the front sight!)
  9. Hm.. didn't knwo there was a time limit on the warranty. (?) They are distributed through S&W, and all S&Ws have lifetime warranties. My P22 had a failure after about 3 years and 13-15,000 rounds. I called S&W, they sent a call tag, and I had my gun back in working order in about 2 weeks. Give 'em a call, I'm sure they'll fix it. The P22, while not really cheap... is really cheap. I like 'em and I loved mine, but they aren't exactly built like tanks. I think breakages like that just come with the territory. For th ultimate in longevity go Ruger, IMHO.
  10. Other than generous oil in the mags, how did the gun run?
  11. Locking thread. I understand your desire to trade out ammo, but please abide by forum rules. Thanks!

    4 questions ???

I'm another person who has had two very good experiences with S&W CS. I also REALLY dig their 3rd gen autos. The 4013 is freakin' awesome.
  13. Hey, I know how to make it a single-shot! Remove the ejector pin! My DoubleStar upper kit was missing that critical piece and was one cool-looking single shot .223!
  14. Note to self: No driving Z3s into brick walls! (There go my plans for the weekend!) While not exactly my style, nice work!
  15. Well congrats, I think! I hope everything works out in your best interest.
  16. Funny haha guys! But really, nice gun. I still haven't shot the 460, just a couple 500s. I dig old-school looking revolvers, though. I'd love to see a 460 with the classic lines, full underlug, with mirror like bluing. That'd be freakin' awesome. Do you reload? One of my favorite things to do with someone who isn't too familiar with revolvers is show them how versatile they can be in loadings. ie: I'll put in alternate rounds of full-power magnums and then really lightweight stuff, just to show the range of options. I imagine it'd be pretty darn dramatic with a 460!
  17. Were there any Dinos that were actually badged as Ferraris? I can't remember. My dream car is still just a 98-99 F355 GTB F1 in yellow with black leather.
  18. All I know is... I'm never running out of .22s!
  19. Say what you guys want, but when an F430 Scuderia beats an Enzo around the track I think it's a legit ride. Edit: just saw the other info. OK, that makes sense. I kinda' wondered why they didn't sound better!
  20. I think I just wet myself.
  21. Hahahaha! While that's cool, it's not the artwork!
  22. I hope David doesn't get mad, but I've seen the artwork and it looks great, but definitely not going to fit in a 2" square!
  23. GA is good stuff, both the new and remanufactured stuff.
  24. Good deal. I understand that. I think you're right in that there's so much opinion out there that any bullet could be either the very best or the very worst, just depends who you talk to. Pick what you're comfy with and go with that.
