  1. Alright, they have another youtube channel with the "making of" their commercials. Here are some of them. Deleted scenes from the lst commercial:
  2. I'm watching the vids on youtube now, here's the link to part 2 of 4 (the one I'm watching now)
  3. Maybe not really fake.
  4. They've got some other funny stuff, too. Hope you don't waste as much time as I did!
  5. Guess I'm a shootin' whore then! I know my S&W Mod 64 has over 8k through it, my 19-3 is gettin' close to 5k, the 19-5 (wife's gun) has about 2k now. I reload for all my centerfire pistols (I only had 5 of the, now 4) and have been through over 25,000 primers since I started reloading about 4 years ago. I shot a LOT more 2 years ago and have slowed down especially the last 6 months. Sorry, back on topic... Good lookin' gun! I think you paid a fair price for a solid gun. Just enjoy it!
  6. Congrats on the new gun! Those P series are great shooters, like everyone has already said. I, like you, had a girlfriend who wasn't wild about my decision to join the ranks of the armed. She fussed for about a year until I finally got her to go to the range with me. Well... now she's got a .357 in her nightstand and she took her permit class two weeks ago! She didn't even make a fuss when I bought some powder for reloading this week, as she knows that powder is for her to be able to shoot, too! Also, the other poster is right in that she'll probably take instruction from someone else better than she will from you. I live close to TGO David and we've become friends. He and his wife and me and my wife have gone to dinner, etc, a few times, so she's comfortable with them. We finally all got to go shooting together a about a month ago, and David and Sandy showed her some of the very same things I had shown her a hundred times, but she never "caught on" with my instruction. David showed her basically the same stuff, and she was shooting like a champ! She really learned trigger control (finally) snd she has NO flinch now. She's better than me! Anyways, all that is to say that if you can find another couple to shoot with, I think you'll find that she enjoys it much more, and will be able to learn much faster with outside help. Just don't pair her up with some macho chauvinistic tacti-jerk. That would probably be counterproductive. Have fun!
  7. That is an absolute beauty! Congratulations!! Ok... I'm going to be a little shameless here.... if you decide you don't want that ratty ol' Smiff 'N Western anymore at some point in the future... TELL ME!! My 629 needs a safe-mate!
  8. Cool! Post up some pics of that bad boy, jughead! I have a 6" 629, and would LOVE an 8 3/8" gun! Those loads should shoot beautifully for you. Let us know how it all goes!
  9. OK, per my Lee manual, that is a standard load. It lists at 765 fps and 1170 CUP. I'd say they're fine to shoot, as long as that is what they REALLY are. Also, if you're shooting these in a .44 mag, you've got plenty of safety margin there as well.
  10. That sounds pretty light... gimme a minute to check data...
  11. Red X. But congrats on a new gun!
  12. That's pretty cool. You must have a pretty good relationship with your co-workers, and cool managament for all of that to go down!
  13. Talked to Ms. Cross. That was the easiest phone call I've made all day!
  14. Just curious... was the guy that ripped you off in the brass scheme the same dude that's referenced here? ***CAUTION** WARNING** brass for sale - Topic Powered by Eve For Enterprise Sounds like you may have a group of folks to go after this guy with.
  15. Um... isn't that an SC, not an LS? Sorry.... I'm a stickler about car stuff... and a nutjob, to boot! But nice car!! I've always really liked those, too. I've a real hankering for a clean BMW 850csi as of late. Man those were freakin' cool!
  16. Sooo.... would the recoil buffer on that be a Maxi-pad? Ick.
  17. Tandy 400: Still Broken. My all-time favorite.
  18. They Need All The Firepower They Can Get! Homestarrunner.com is one of those goofy webistes that college kids with too much time and too little sense go to. That's why I like it! I haven't visited the site in a couple years, but something made me decide to check it out again today. Anyways, I think this video is awesome!
  19. Hammer vs scalpel, IMHO. Hammers are a lot more fun to whack stuff with!
  20. I have experience with both the Frankford and the Lyman tumblers. The motor on the Frankford died about 2 hours into it's first batch of brass. I sent it back to midway and the gave me credit towards the Lyman. I love the Lyman, and it's been running great for 3 years now. I do like the Frankford media separator and Midway let me keep that. TGO David recently got the Lyman with the auto-flow kit and is less impressed with that feature, but likes the tumbler just fine.
  21. Didn't work for me. Big gray box with nothing in it.
  22. Become a benefactor and post up in the ready room. Problem solved!
  23. Hey... you're not as think as I drunk you am, are you? Put that gun down!
