I had the same on one of my M&Ps. A little hit with an exacto knife and BAZINGA! problem solved. Just a little flashing from the mold.

Just added a Shield to my current 9c and 40fs. I will say this shield has a good trigger. My 40 has a GREAT trigger (ask w0lfattack, it's why he bought another M&P!) while my 9c has a pretty bad trigger right now. The issue is that transfer bar that pushes up the plunger in the slide. On the 9c it is bent inward and is dragging across that inner ridge of the slide, across that little bump right before the plunger. I bent it a little out of the way with my bare fingers... will fix it later with tools. Anyway, smokin' deal... get one at this price if you're on the fence. You won't be disappointed!

Welcome Kevin! Nice to meet you today, and I love the Shield!!

I don't know where Savannah, TN is, but every Academy I've visited from Nashville to Chattanooga now stocks the 90gr Hornady 38 spcl. I believe it's about $22-23 per box of 25 rds. I have three boxes at home for my wife. I hope you can find some soon, and that everything works out for you in regards to recoil, etc. You really do have a great firearm.

JoseG named all my spots! I grew up in Miami spending half my time at my best friend's place. His family is Dominican and his Mom loves to cook and loves me! Even now when she finds out I'm comjng home for a visit she stops by with trays of my favorites: chic peas and rice, plantains, stewed chicken, these amazing little steaks, and some AMAZING homemade garlic/cilantro/creamy salad dressing! The lady that cleaned our house was Jamaican and our families were really good friends. They'd come over for pool/boat parties and she would make jerk chicken, curry goat, and the most amazing roti!! My Dad's construction company was in the heart of Hialeah (read: Cuba) and there are some mind-blowingly incredible little cafés all around there. Back to Cuba gets pretty close. The Mariquitas are the best thing in the world!!! I was super disappointed last week when I ordered some and was told they were out. Big sad face. Their churrasco (flank steak w/chimichurri sauce) is really good, and their tostones (fried plaintains) are worth getting, if not just to dip in the black beans!! Pollo Tropical is like the Wendy's of the Hispanic/Carribean nations. I feel their food is definitely of a higher quality than the other fast food joints. They've changed the menu a bit for the Southerners up here. They don't serve mashed potatoes or quesadillas (that's Mexican food!) in South Florida! I live 1.3 miles from the Smyrna location and go every couple weeks. I was so stoked when they opened, though! I ate lunch AND dinner there on opening day, and then once a day for the first 5 days! Wifey and I can eat BETTER food there for less money than Wendy's, Zaxby's, or Chick-Fil-A. Oh, and they have Mango sweet tea!

Looks like a crazy long 357. I have some 200gr Speer silhouette .357 bullets that look very similar. I'm at work and so I can't go check them out, but I think mine are a little more blunt/rounded at the end... not quite as sharp of a point as that.

Guess who's going into the gun business November 16th (AR's and 1911's)

Got mine today too :-)

Ditto Austin. We got the 55" version of the previous gen... built-in wi-fi, fantastic quality... love it!

I played this game a few years ago and found my best deal on a 55" Panasonic the week before the Superbowl at Target. The lowest it had been before was $1199 at Best Buy. We bought it at $999 minus 5% redcard savings, minus ANOTHER 10% when we bought a $17 HDMI cable. I already had half a dozen HDMI cables, but I netted about $75 by buying another. ;-)

Wow, Bersaguy and GuitarX. My wife and I, and our college buddies used to eat there a LOT because we went to church near there. It was our "spot." We were very sad to learn of those events and prayed for the families of those lost over the next few months. We never knew the chain treated their families so poorly. We rarely get to that side of town now that we live in Smyrna, but any time we pass there, we remember the event. It seems pointless and petty coming from a nobody like me, but if either of you have any contact with the families any more, please let them know that others in Nashville have been praying for them.

If I had my own land, I would not frequent ranges. Since I don't, I have to... but that lets me help "clean up" after those around me. ;-)
-
Many ranges sell their brass to commercial reloaders. However, that policy sounds pretty ridiculous.

Ditto Smith on the 357 lever. I have a Marlin 1894 and it's the bee's knees. Nobody's talking about a Savage??? Multiple great offerings in the $250-350 range, in all popular calibers. I don't have one yet, but a 308 from them is on my short list. An unloved (by the public, it seems) option is the Marlin XL7. I have one in 270 and really enjoy it. It does have a thinner (read:lighter) barrel that heats up after 5-6 quick rounds and walks low right, but those first few rounds are about on top of each other when I'm doin' it right. Lots of good choices out there. :-)

I am definitely seeing more powders available than six months ago, as well. When I'm stocking up, I can't find everything I want in one place like I could a few years ago, but at the last gun show I found everything I needed between 3 vendors, for $20-23/lb. I was satisfied with that. Also, I could never find Ramshot powders locally 2-3 years ago, now I see them everywhere and have been happy to have some new stuff to try. :-)

I don't really put a crimp on my 9mm. I pretty much just have the seat/crimp die turned enough to remove the flare for bullet seating. However, I run everything through a Lee FCD at the end, which I feel puts a good squeeze on the case/bullet to avoid setback issues. Caveat: I have not used that exact bullet profile. I just run regular plated rn or lrn.

Is it wrong that I'm disappointed? We had a lot more fun shooting the back side of some .40 Wolf rounds that I refused to run through my gun (after the first few completely locked it up.) We had an old stump that was riddled with bullet holes, so we stuck the rounds in the holes nose first, with the primers facing rearward. We then got on our scoped 22 rifles and went to town. We only nailed a few just right, buy it was fun when we did! It was totally stupid, and some brass shrapnel did scatter about. Don't try this at home. That's why I went to a friend's house!

Me too! I love this kinda' stuff!

Consider me jumped! Thanks for the heads up and confirmation, ZFM and TDR!! Darn credit card billing cycles making me feel OK about spending Friday's play money today!
-
Dumb question, but does that kit also include the trigger, grip, etc? Just want to make sure before I jump on it!

I hear you on that second part!! I know they say they try to be fair with shipping, etc, but I just don't know. My last order would have easily fit in the small flat rate USPS box for $5.80, yet I paid over $12 in shipping. All of my OpticsPlanet orders have shipped free, and the prices were WAAAYY lower, too! Many times in the last few months I have had an online cart with 4-5 items at Midway, gone to checkout, got frustrated with shipping costs which ended up killing the deal, then simply opened another browser window and found the items for less elsewhere without crazy shipping fees.

That's some funny stuff right there! As much of a joke as our legal system is, this fits right in.
