I don't know about you! ;-)

Been there, done that. As folks have said... sometimes it's as simple as changing of interests, other times it can be the heavy kick of life in the nads (me) or the ban-hammer. Regardless, I sincerely do wish all the best. I miss Eddie, too. I have been in a weird little funk lately where I have had many past friends/acquaintances and even a few ... I hate the word but don't know what else to use... enemies that have been brought to mind. Some I have reconnected with, others not. What I HAVE been doing for all of them is praying for them. I know the prayers of others have benefited me... prayers I'm sure I'll never even know about. Even if it's someone I may have never met personally, like many on this board, I pray that God provides extra peace, grace, and provision for whatever it is they are in. As a teen/college kid I kinda' thought most people eventually hit a groove in mid-life where everything gets stable and you just kinda' cruise. What a dope! The idea that everyone around you is always fighting some battle you aren't aware of weighs on me more and more. It is a discipline to try and respond with kindness to those who are foul. I suck at it, but Imma keep tryin'. Uh... gee.. guess that's more than what the OP was gettin' at... guess I'm gettin' sentimenal in my old age! Y'all take care. :-)

Great gun! That thing will last a dozen lifetimes if taken care of properly... only ten lifetimes if abused! Hahaha!! Enjoy!

I had a Sigma 40. Once I had the trigger worked on, it was actually an OK gun. However, did you see the M&P 9 somebody listed in the classifieds for $410? Three mags, holster, and Apex trigger already installed. If I had the money I totally woulda' jumped on it myself... love my M&Ps!! Anywho, like others have said, Smith will fix anything that goes wrong. First, I recommend finding a used M&P... if you wouldn't go for that, then I'd pick the Sigma over the P11.

Yea, I was super PO'd at that one box crap. It's not just 22 either... one box of ammo. Period. I went to buy some 270, 9, and 40 the day they started that garbage. He asked what I wanted and I said "That box of 270..." then waited til he grabbed it to tell him about the other ammo cuz' they always get confused when you tell them two things at once... the said "and two boxes of 9" and he cut me off and said "Just one box. That's all you're allowed to buy." I told him he could hold onto it. Haven't been back.

Oh, and they put the 22 on the counter up front behind customer service.

Hahahahahaahahahahahahhaaha!!!! That's AWESOME! BAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! :-D Anywho, the shipments are out out in the morning. You'll likely never see 22 in the afternoon, and when you do (like I did last Friday afternoon) it's just the last 2 boxes of some ridiculously expensive fancy pants stuff.

Good to hear! I'm very happy with the PTAC upper I got on Black Friday. Not a single malf of any sort, and excellent accuracy and consistency. I ordered another a couple weeks ago... hopping it'll be here Monday!

Due to wifey's surgery and a scheduled shutdown at work, I've had a few opportunities to score at Academy. In 2 weeks I managed 5 bricks. I'm happy with that. I should keep it all for myself, but I'm such a softie/sucker... the one I got today has already been given away. :/

Wow. Bad news. So sad when anyone dies or is hurt, especially when they are just working to provide for themselves/family. I bought my first box of Rio shotshells a little over a year ago at Academy... they were the cheapest thing they had. The following weekend I took them out and fell in love with 'em! Blue is my favorite color, and their 12g hulls are a beautiful royal blue. The shot perfectly and I destroyed a bunch of clays with 'em. They became my favorite and I'm sitting on quite a stash of them now. I noticed right away that Rio is a Spanish company, but these shells come through McEwen. That was another reason I decided to make these my "go to" load. I liked the idea that at least some of my money was going to other Tennesseans. Prayers for all those affected directly and indirectly. I also really hope that this event does not end up in Rio shuttering the plant, or any government agency forcing them to do so. I would really hate for any more people to be negativelly affected through job loss, etc. If anyone else hears of a way we can help, please share it here.

Household of two here, about $90-110 a week, every week at Target. We have the Redcard to save 5% all the time, along with using the Target mobile coupons and the Cartwheel app for additional savings from 5-40% on many items. We used to coupon pretty heavy but have fallen off the bandwagon. No alcohol or smokes, but we do eat out quite a bit. Actually, our eat-out budget is about the same as our grocery budget. If we're saving for something or have a rough time for some reason, the eating out is the first to go.

Do it!! You know you want to! :-D

I'm the outlier, I guess. I process my brass exactly like the OP is thinking about... I've got open-top buckets of sorted brass in my attached, non-AC'ed garage in all the different stages; dirty, cleaned, deprimed, and primed. I hand-prime while watching TV. I've been doing it this way for almost a decade now... I know for sure I had thousands of 9,40,38,357, and 44 that sat primed for a nearly 3 year span from late '08 to early '11 where I pretty much stopped shooting and reloading all together due to financial reasons. I started back up and all has been completely fine. I'm still loading through a bucket of 44 mag brass that I know was primed in 2007. Every one goes bang. Sure, everybody else's suggestions are, I'm positive, safer and smarter than what I do... I just wanted to pipe up and let you know my experience. Whatever you do, have fun!

YES!!! That's exactly it!!! I actually like shooting it MORE than my full size guns! I think it's because every magazine is like breaking through the barriers of physics and kinetic energy. There's no way a gun that small should be so fun to shoot, or so accurate! The best sights of any midget pistol by far. It's a total head trip.... I guess the reverse extreme would be like finding a minivan that drove like a real sports car...it just doesn't make sense and you can't get enough! I just wish I had some 17rd mags for it! Thankfully I got 4 mags with mine, but I still burn through 'em fast!

Meh... I pocket carry my shield in regular ol' IZOD shorts I got from Sam's for $11/pair. Love the little bugger! You get it yet, David? :-)

Why you don't use someone elses reloads
musicman replied to babelt's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
At least somebody didn't destroy a nice pre-lock. :-/ -
I showed this to a work friend late last year... first time since middle school I've seen someone spit out their sip of water!

Man, that sounds really rough, Lowbuster. I as well am at a loss with what all of those symptoms could be pointing towards. Have they gotten the fever controlled? Thank you Lowbuster and others for your prayers for Kelley. I'm sorry, I did not mean to take away from LB's request... just to say someone else in a similar spot is praying for you, too. Just the same, thank you all. Kelley should be coming home tomorrow.

Rofl! So true!

Awesome carry pieces being posted up! I especially like some of the knife choices! I'm still on a Kershaw budget.... I am dreaming of the day I get to pick out my first Benchmade! DaveTN, it's great to know that if your M&P compact runs dry, you have a handy-dandy wireless talking machine to request assistance! ;-)

Hey bud, I'm praying for your wife, and YOU. My wife had surgery last week to hopefully deal with some long-term issues that were getting worse and worse. She is in the middle of a bumpy recovery right now. I pray that your wife's doctors receive guidance and wisdom to find the problem and come up with a solution. But more than that, I pray for grace and peace to get you through this time.

Glad it's relatively minor. Keep us updated!

How do you like the Flash? I have a Mini Aegis Tanto and loved it, but the tip of the blade chipped on me... it's been hiding out in a drawer ever since. :-( I've been thinking about the Flash... and I've just been hesitant to call SOG and find out about getting the Aegis fixed. Have you had any issues with side to side wobble when the blade is locked open?
