  1. Is this held in Manchester?
  2. What he said. Just shoot! :-) You won't find a nicer group of guys and gals.
  3. Shield 9
  4. Popped a squirrel with a super colibri out of a marlin 60. He just ran away pissed off at me. Hand cycled the bolt, of course. The CCI Quiet the following week made him DRT.
  5. Useless without pics!
  6. How on earth would they even know who owns guns in free states where folks can buy firearms face to face? This is cute, but holds zero water, imho. Sure, I'm sure I'm on a list somewhere, but I know a number of folks who've never filled out transfer paperwork but can still defend themselves if needed.
  7. One of the few shows wifey and I wholeheartedly agree on. Sure hope it gets picked up elsewhere.
  8. Just an update, no M&P destruction today. :-)

    New piece

    Snazzy!! Congrats!
  10. Yep, a good time was had by all. Nice folks and no pressure. It's always nice to put faces with TGO screen names, too. Thanks to wiljo05 for being my camera man. This was not a very good display of shooting prowess (cuz I don't have any yet!) but here's a little video of a stage from today. MCTS Steels M&P40 Pro: http://youtu.be/AX-E8XKR-FE
  11. Haha! Well guys, I'm about to take my M&P 40 Pro and my backup M&P 40 fullsize to shoot at the MCTS event in Dickson today. Wish me luck that neither one explodes! :-D
  12. There's a great greasy spoon place on the square in town there, Joe's place or something like that. I had a killer southwestern omelet there a couple weeks ago!
  13. Oh, and I've been loading on a Lee turret since I began almost a decade ago. It's no progressive, but I'm happy. I make excellent ammo at about 80-90rds/hr when it's all said and done. Any faster and I'd go broke burning through components!

  15. Thanks for the files! I had a few of those, but took advantage of the Midway caliber specific guides. Preeschiatcha!
  16. I'm looking forward to it. 24 hours ago I had two buddies coming with me... one had to cancel, and the other injured himself while working out. I'll be there shooting rain or shine.
  17. That was from 5 years ago.
  18. Very nice!
  19. Well dang, I don't have the CORE, but I have a 5" M&P Pro 40 and I love the crap out of it! Like you, I have a fullsize M&P and a shield, as well as a compact. The Pro has a better trigger than the stock guns, and I like the different/stippled feel of the grip inserts vs the normal grips. The extended barrel and slide just feel right and comfortable to me. Plus, it looks awesome! I haven't grown to love optics yet, so in that regard I am of zero help to you. But, if you like the M&P platform I couldn't recommend the Pro any more highly. It's just a great gun. My regular 40 fullsize has been relegated to drawer/glovebox duty since the Pro moved in.
  20. Good to hear! I've been on a loading spree with the identical Lee press you have. Got it almost ten years ago and still performs flawlessly. Cranked out 700 rds of 40 between Thursday and Friday night last week, 50 357 mag last night, and 150 38 spc tonight. Whew! My ammo cabinet is starting to look very healthy again! Tomorrow I plan to continue the streak with 44mag, and end the week with 9mm. Next week I might work up my very first 10MM. I enjoy making ammo almost as much as I enjoy using it. What about you?
  21. BEAUTIFUL shooting irons you got there! I've made the opposite mistake... I still have my Smith 19, but sold my 6" GP years ago. :-( Either way, this simply confirms that getting rid of ANY gun is a terrible mistake and should never be repeated again!
  22. Oh snap!! A chance to use my new 930!!! Things just got REAL!!!!
  23. All is revealed here! http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/80914-new-level-of-personal-firepower-achievement-unlocked/ The Manchester 3gun is Sunday, right? I have responsibilities on Sundays. :-(
  24. They sell both reman and new. The new stuff (at least the 10MM I got two weeks ago) is in Starline brass which I think is the bee's knees, personally. Good stuff, and highly recommended.
  25. For some medium 357s, or maybe 38+p++ if you will, I really liked a 158gr and Bullseye. I have no hard documentation as to why I thought it was so great, but I just dig that combo. Not a hot, blasty 357, but more than a little cap-gun 38.
