Thumbs up, man. My childhood memories with Dad were different, usually involving the ocean, boats, jet skis, and snorkeling, but the effect is the same. Glad there are still some parents out there that don't leave their children to be raised by cell phones and Xboxes!

I grew up in Miami, FL working outside in the 90-100° heat and ridiculously high humidity... always wore a tshirt and undershirt, and still do. It definitely helps reduce printing.

^ exactly what came to mind when I read jgradyc's post! I'd give body parts for that! Love me some Audis! Wish they'd give us the RS6 wagon. :/ I want an S5 SO bad! Seriously one of the most beautiful cars of the last 15 years.

Wifey has told me I am free to roam the land on Saturday... may see you gents there!

Reading all of this makes me feel better about two facts: 1) My fat, lazy self is rarely in the woods. 2) Should my fat, lazy self for some awful reason be found in the woods, it will be with a 15rd 10MM on my person. If it works in Alaska, it'll work in TN! ;-)

9mm Ammo Deal $97 Shipped for 500rds Brass
musicman replied to mcordell's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Haha! I wouldn't know what to do if I saw a box of 9 with only one headstamp! :-D -
I keep my Mossberg 930 under my spare tire. No one notices... not even my wife. Just kidding! But I have an IWB from Leatherneck Tactical that a super awesome buddy gave me, and it sits nice and low. I carry either my FS M&P or Compact M&P and the grip is just under my jelly roll. Completely invisible, except for the clip which shows. I can even tuck in T-Shirts and Polos around it and maintain concealment.

I am a car guy, and never have a problem identifying a car since I started paying attention when I was 13 yrs old. (1995, btw) In fact, I have the reverse problem of the OP. Every box sedan from the 80s looks the same to me. Gee. Square headlights. Whose original, unique idea was that?! I really think this is the same as music preference to what you listened to in your formative years; when you paid attention to what was popular and formed your tastes and preferences. We seem to keep with it for a few decades, then stop paying attention and stay in our bubble, then complain about what's new and say it all sounds the same. It doesn't, it's just passed us by. We're left yearning for the cars and music of our youth. Just like your parents did when they put down what you listened to as teenagers.

Official TGO Pro Tech Godfather Buy in thread SOLD OUT
musicman replied to willis68's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I'll be in for it! I also want a Runt or Scamp... maybe a cheaper knife for the next run will allow more folks to join in, and get 'em on the hook for another $200+ knife later, like the Rockeye did for me. Honestly, had I not been able to get one of those I doubt I'd have jumped on the Godfather at $240, just because it is so far out of my normal price range for knives. However, after the ultimate satisfaction and pride with the LG101, I'm down for all of the future ProTech buys, as long as I can make it happen financially. :-) -
Beatiful stock on that 870!

Congrats! That thing looks mean! I have the 13rd version and LOVE IT! I hope the cycling on yours gets better. I am pretty fortunate I guess in that the one I got works with everything, all the time. I only got it to hang up once with a light 1oz target load by holding it at my side and shooting it kinda one-handed, barely holding on to it; effectively limp-wristing it. Enjoy!

I shot there a few months back. 90% of my ammo was reloaded, and no one gave me any trouble. I didn't even notice it was their policy. Great place, just wish I was closer. It's right at an hour from me.

Thumbs up, HP. I've been a fan of the show for awhile, and am currently watching the premier now, about halfway through it. So like 80% of sitcoms have all kinds of overt and covert jabs at conservatism throughout, about 19% are void of much political commentary. If we're going to fuss about one show finally speaking a little truth in comedy, I believe we are completely toast.

I didn't vote for him, and I don't want something for nothing, and I wouldn't step out of my way to protect him. I'm with KA on this one. He is not sacred to me.

Lol!! That's hilarious!

The cheapest ammo that functions reliably in your gun. That's my suggestion. :-) I doubt the paper will know the difference, and I'm sure most commercial loadings will have enough oomph to knock down steels. I have the Mossy 930 13 rd, and it cycles everything from the lightest 1 oz loads to heavy 3" shells. Just verify in your guns that whatever you choose functions as well. For 12g I run a mix of the Federal 100rd bulk stuff and Rio target shells. I like the blue cases, and they're cheap at Academy.

Don't look here if you don't want to laugh.

Thanks to mobile technology, I was in precisely the place one would want to be should that event occur. ;) -
I like it!

I dunno... in this case could we just kinda' chalk it up to darwinism if bad management at the top leads to its own demise?

I'm going to be buying some holsters soon... have you tried the Alien Gear stuff as well? Any comparison? I know they're vastly different in make, but these are the two main options I'm thinking about now. I want to get one for my Shield, and then a Fullsize M&P. How is tuckability with the clips on this holster?

Literally laughed the crap right out of me! That was better than Creed Shreds, and even the Ozzy shreds w Jake E Lee! -
Wowzers! Like HP, I'm not a fan of the browns, but that pistola looks great! I like blue. A lot. I'm tempted to see about having the slide and mags for my M&P Pro done up in a nice royal blue or something, just to make it stand out. And it'll be REALLY easy to identify my mags at matches!

Cool beans! Never thought of that!

Haha! I'll check it out after work. Hope to see you at the next Murfreesboro show... hopefully with some Ramshot and AA pistol powders! ;-)
