Haha! Youse guys crack me up. :-) I posted a crazy spoof expecting a laugh, and everybody's all serious weighing the merits of the idea. Lolz!

Reduced Size Target Systems: http://youtu.be/dGJT38HJaHg Makes sense to me!

Rofl! This thread rules. Sorry for your loss, BN!

Me too, Reed. I'm telling myself that some stupid kid got my box of awesome from my doorstep while I was at work, or that maybe it's still on it's way. I will still participate in the future as I enjoy the giving just as much, but yea... kind of a downer.

22s... crazier 'n Betty White on speed!
-
I have four BX 25s, bought over 3 transactions in about 2 yrs. One seems to function a little less poorly than the other three, but that could be untrue... I'm not logging the jams in a spreadsheet, lol! Yea, I need to look into the extractor issue, and generally have the thing worked over... wish Graycrait was a little closer! ;-)

I guess I'm a young fuddy duddy because I feel the same way and I'm 32!
-
If I only bought things because they were useful, I'd have precious little in my home, lol! Looks fun! I just wish I could get those BX25s for my 1022s to feed properly. Jam-o-matics. The crummy butler creeks run much better for me through 2 different guns. The nose of the rounds seem to hang up on the front of the mag, before they get a chance to get to the feed ramp. :/ Federal, Remmy, Winnie, plated or lead, round or HP, makes no difference. :l

I'd be all about some cheap HP backup pistol and carbine goodness if it weren't for the ridiculously low capacity versus other designs. The guns are big and bulky enough, why not 15-18rds mags?! Sheesh! Anyways, congrats on the new pistolas, and may they provide you years of trouble-free fun and protection!

That's exactly how I read it, as well. Though I enjoy a good debate (on merits) you guys are exactly right, the personal attacks and seething contempt for everyone disagreeing with him far outweighed any good points he may have been making. :-( And just for fun, I'll try to run a few hundred more rounds through my M&Ps this weekend.

Hot diggity! I'm hitting Lowes for another reason today, but I may have a few additional items in my cart upon checkout now. ;-)

There's a place another block or so SE called Ammo Plus, I think. Different place. As you've said, no FFL there as of yet. However, he does have some fair ammo and accessory prices.

Haha! Just got my two boxes. I'm not hurting for 22... I buy what I see and usually give it to good friends who don't have any or sell it at my cost to someone who hasn't been as lucky to find it. These boxes will be going to nephews who will be getting a 10/22 for Christmas. :-)

$2.29/box, limit two... pic of inventory at 4:25pm.

Pssshhh.... I wish! Lol!

Good point, David. I've also told them about TGO and encouraged them to look into it. I told them it's the most direct way to reach the core of their potential customer base. :-)
-
Ahhh... symmetrical ballistic bliss!
-
I hereby move that all future TGO blades be two-tone, hahaha! They really do look awesome. :-)

Same deal has been in my local Academy a few times in the last month or so. Price seems to bounce around depending on the current advertisement.

Oh man! I didn't know about the teacher bit... I think my wife may start shopping for her own gun collection! :-D DB, you'll like these folks, I'm sure! Ruger, thanks for the clarification on their days open!

10MM Contender... mmmm... that makes me happy! What length? Sorry... I'm a recent convert to the 10MM fanboy club. :-)

Sup fellas. Just wanted to let any other Rutherford county and surrounding area folks know about this new shop. I don't work there, and this is just me sharing my positive experiences. It's at 164 S Lowry Street, just about across the street from the Tomlin car dealership and just up from Enon Springs. I think they're open til 6 weekdays and 7 on Saturday, I don't remember their Sunday hours. Anywho, it's a small shop, but they have a pretty good and growing inventory of good guns. They've got the standard Glocks, Rugers, Smiths, Kahrs, and the budget HiPoint or two, but I didn't see any garbage. (I respect the HPs as generally being a reliable firearm for those not blessed with the budget for style from their self defense weapons.) They also have the new H&K VP line, and some other cool items. Right now they have some factory engraved Ruger SP101 357s that are pretty nifty. They also have a full line of the Just Right carbines... something I'll be looking into more deeply soon. ;-) Their ammo selection is smaller right now, and always changing. I've been there three times and so far I have always found a box or two of ammo at a price that beats Academy and Wally and snagged it. Today it was a box of Federall 115gr JHP 9mm for $12.99 and Hornady 180gr XTP 10MM for $21.99. I only bought one of each, because that's all there was. ;-) They have a crap load of Spike's lowers, both stripped and complete with varying Magpul furniture. There were a couple uppers and other parts, lpks, etc, but I didn't look too closely. Pmags are a dollar or two cheaper than Academy. If you're not buying a few online to save on shipping, you can't beat their prices short of a gun show vendor. I get a 20rd 308 Pmag every time I stop in. :-D My second visit was to receive my S&W M&P10 I had transferred in. They knew me when I hit the door and the transaction was near immediate. Very nice people here. I'm terrible with names and feel bad that I don't remember theirs, but they already know me by name. There is a super nice lady that is pretty much always there, and I believe her husband has a regular full time job but is there when he's not working, and there has been another nice gentleman there on two of my visits. They are not pushy, but are just as ready to let you handle any firearm you want and happy to show you what's new. Ummm.... they had some Glock Tshirts and others for like $13-15 I think, and have some nicer cases/range bags. They have a small assortment of holsters right now, and while I was there they were putting together an order for more... I have an IWB for my Shield on the way next week. :-) There's more nice things to say, but I'm tired and have to get up early tomorrow so I'll wind it down for now. If you're in the area, stop by and give these folks a visit. They are new and adding to their inventory daily, and are willing to get you whatever you want. Oh, transfers are $15 +tics! $10 +tics for LE and I think emergency responders, but don't quote me on that. Tell 'em James, the big guy that got the M&P10 transferred in sent ya. :-)

Excellent work, excellent gun, and an excellent tribute to your father. Thanks for sharing this with us. :-) -
Yea, it's loud, but cool! I'm not a skull kinda guy, but I like the matching lanyard and grip embellishments. Congrats!

Yep, they're nice and clean. Just check the seals, like always. They smell kinda funny, but don't they all?
