  1. I went with the generic Dorman universal replacements when one let go on wifey's MKX. They are nice and shiny which is even better on her black CUV than the original matte black nozzles. They also provide a better spray than the originals. Of course, at $15 each you're still at $30, plus a couple buck in extra hose if you need it.
  2. I'm this guy. One day, I will have a 41 Magnum! I love having choices. This is 'Murica, dadgummit! Do I have more 9s and 40s than other handgun calibers? Yea, but I'm not ditching any of my other babies. I've got more 223 rifles than any other rifle caliber, but they won't do the job of my 270 or 308. Everybody needs a Mosin. What kind of Tennessean doesn't have a few 12g pumps and autos scattered about? (The doublegun is next!) In general, I don't get in to hobbies to enjoy a specific, narrow portion of it. I go whole-hog. I've got Strats, Teles, Les Pauls, an SG, two Ibanez from the 70s, and a couple others in the mix. The only things keeping me from going deeper into each hobby are time and money... and skill, if I'm painfully honest. ;-)
  3. I like that flowing line on the top. Very nice!

    New Pistol

My pastor has one and loves it. I haven't shot it yet, but have handled it. Seems like a nice gun. Enjoy!

    Glock Teaser

Ditto Patton. My Shield has a super consistent, short, crisp pull with a surprisingly clean break for a striker fired gun. Bone stock. I'd guess it's right around 6lbs, which is perfect for a carry gun, imho.
  6. I have all the M&P sizes and love them all. I carried a 40c for awhile but it's a smidge thick for me. I rock the Shield and couldn't be happier. XDs are fine guns, but I'll always be an M&P man.
  7. Lol! I'll help all you guys out and give you $4/box for whatever you made the mistake of buying. I don't want you to endanger yourselves. I'll take it upon myself (and I'm sure I can get some buddies to help) to dispose of this terrible excuse for ammunition for you. I'm just looking out for my fellow TGOers! ;-)

    Ruger Ar

Ditto on the PSA love. I have two, one of them even built with their "low end" PTAC stuff. Both guns have been 100% reliable and as accurate as I can be. In my small experience I find the PTAC stuff to be just as good as the PSA stuff. I also have a Smith M&P 10 and it is an outstanding piece of equipment. My neighbor just ordered his PSA AR10 kit yesterday. We'll see how it stacks up in a few weeks. Whatever you choose, I don't think you can pick a bad gun from any of the big names any more. The AR platform has been around a LONG time and ERRRRRYBODY makes one now. My vote is Smith & Wesson, but that's just cuz I a Smithaholic. :-)

    Glock Teaser

I'm not as kind as you, HP. I'm just waiting for all the Glockaholics to lose their minds and sell their Shields stoopid cheap so I can pick up a few more. It seems Shields are just about selling for new money on the used market now. I'm looking forward to picking some up maybe around the $275 mark.
  10. Deep in season 2 right now. Thanks Netflix!
  11. I traded two crummmy pistols for a pre-lock Smith 629 with hammer mounted firing pin at a gun show around 2006. The firing pin broke while I was at the range one day... probably 2011 or 2012. I called Smith and received a call tag. The gun was back in my hands in about 2 weeks, without any cost on my part. Happy fella here.
  12. No kids to worry about in my house. I'm about 50/50 for having one (usually a Shield 9) on me, but let's just say no matter where I go in my house, I'm not more than 3 steps from all manner of "get-outedness" at hand.
  13. Very cool! I have a few M&Ps I was thinking about having worked on in a similar fashion. Have you shot them yet? What are your impressions? How long was the turnaround?
  14. Any store that sells a pistol with a "clip" in the case is off my list. Idiots. And how nice of them, to package a $450 pistol in a $7 MTM handgun case for under $1,500! What a steal!
  15. Different stores, different limits. It's not an HQ decision.
  16. Got 3 50rd boxes of 223 in Smyrna for $8.94 ea. About a dozen boxes left, plenty of 308, no handgun stuff.
  17. And I'll just add my recommendation for the Shield. Super simple, small enough to conceal, big enough to shoot comfortably, real sights, and can be had for just over $400 OTD at Guns N More in Smyrna.
  18. Can you take her to the range and let her try a bunch out? I'm in the South Nashville area and will bring out some revolvers and pistols of all sizes and donate ammo to helpget a new shooter started. I work til 1 tomorrow but am willing to meet at a range after that. PM if you want. I personally feel that no amount of gun shop handling can compare to live fire when comparing guns.
  19. I haven't seen these deals in all wallys. The store at Harding and Nolensville is all still regular full price, and low stock as of yesterday at 11:20am.
  20. Just bought Perfecta 308 for $6.94/20. 3 box limit at the Wally at Nolensville and Bell Rd, and no limit at the Antioch/Mboro Rd Wally. I could have bought four cases, but my wallet would have kicked my butt. Lots of $7/50 9mm and other similar deals available at 5:20pm today. I've said too much <_< >_>
  21. I'm glad that your new slide was sent so quickly! However, I don't feel like it's some miraculous thing that they turned it around in that time frame. I imagine they simply received the broken slide, looked at it, tossed it in the scrap bin, grabbed fresh upper assembly, put in a box, and then mailed it. Now if they actually removed all the working bits from your previous slide and placed them all in the new one, that's a whole different story, and kudos to them if that's the case! :-) I imagine they see this breakage quite often (as shown in the video someone else posted earlier in the thread) and they've got complete assemblies in bins/racks just waiting for a time such as this. Regardless, glad your piece is now a complete piece again!
  22. Haha! That's pretty funny.
  23. Just listened to these guys for the first time last night, and I'm diggin' them bigtime. A friend of a friend shared this video on fb. I listened to it and immediately bought 4 of their albums, just starting to go through them today. I'm not disappointed. It's different than my usual heavy stuff, but still very groovy and just plain great. Yes, dude sounds like Chris Cornell. 24. Ditto all of that, exactly. I was planning on EDCing these, but they're just too darn nice! What a great problem to have! I was going to post a family pic, but it would be identical to KahrMan's (except my Rockeye shows even more "character") so I won't bother. I'll show these babies off to a few buddies, then they'll spend the rest of their days on the dresser beside the Godfather where they can be admired every evening, as I place the workhorse alongside for its night of rest.
  25. Sweet! Thanks, Willis!
