  1. Now THAT'S a good idea!
  2. I love my EAA Witness 10mms. I have a standard and an Elite Match model. The 10mms are built on the 45 frames. The 40 on the 9mm frames.
  3. This isn't the classifieds.
  4. Yup. I use a mix of corn cob and walnut media. I got about a dozen bottles of Black Magic car wax for free when Autozone stopped carrying that specific item years ago. I squirt maybe a table spoon of that in every 2nd or 3rd batch. Love it. Slick, shiny brass. One piece of advice that I'm sure goes without saying... but here goes... squirt the polish into the media and let it tumble for a few minutes BEFORE dumping in your brass.
  5. Dude! Is that a stained wood handle on that red one? That with the TGO logo on the actuator would just be awesome! I'd totally go black blade on that one, like in the pic. And if this one came in under $200, I wouldn't cry. ;-)
  6. I restrained myself from saying that in my earlier post, lol! Haha!
  7. From some informal shooting with another member here, we noticed that 8 pellet buck always grouped toghter than 9 pellet. It was a significant difference even up close through an 18" 870 and a 28" 930. I can't remember what brand it was... it was a blue box and marked for LE, if I remember. He had experience with other brands of 8 pellet loads that were similar. His conclusion was that it had less to do with the brand and more to do with going from 9 to 8 pellets. So the decision is this... do you want smaller groups from you shotgun, making it maybe more like a rifle or slug, or are you wanting to take advantage of the spread that the shotgun potentially offers versus a rifle? What distances do you foresee using the shotgun, and what is the goal of the shot choice? Lots of stuff to think about. :-)
  8. It never gets cheaper. That, and I just had a whole new shelving system put in the garage. Got lotsa new room begging for xtremebullets.com to send me a new shipment. ;)
  9. Totally love it! New EDC. I've already made up my mind that I'm not going to baby this one like the Runts and Godfather. My LG101 is gone to the great lost item bin in the sky, otherwise it would probably still be my EDC. Super happy. Thanks Willis! Looking forward to the magic!
  10. Shot placement is king. And at the range, I always hit that paper right between the eyes. But in real life, with adrenaline pumping and the threat moving, I doubt I can tag him in the eye every time. (I hope you are picking up on my sarcasm here) I feel pretty much all of the major calibers 9mm and above give a similar opportunity for incapacitation if the bullet goes where it needs to. More chances means more better, imho. My first gun was a .40, and for years that's what I bought for defensive purposes. All of my M&Ps are .40s. I have had a change of mind on this over the past year (and not because of the FBI) and am moving to 9mm. Oh, and the cheaper ammo doesn't hurt!
  11. I like the control placement better on a Mossberg 500. Go for the Persuader, I think it's called. I like shorter barrels for an HD gun as they are more maneuverable.
  12. Hm. Tough decision, but I want the magic first. I already have all the others, to include the Godfather. While a matched set is cool, I really want to get the magic because it's so different and unique. I already have a pile of standard automatics... no magics.
  13. I peed a little.
  14. Smith 460 anyone?
  15. O.O want. All.
  16. That pecan tree looks interesting, but holy crap they get huge! Maybe if we just moved in 5 years we wouldn't have to worry about it! :-D
  17. I've been through about 3k of 10k I bought about a year ago. Not a single problem. Small pistol loaded in 9, 40, 38, and 357
  18. I'm just gunna start putting band aids on my hands now and hope that the blade lands on them instead of me.
  19. I actually really like that, hahaha! Not for a carry knife, but I love blue, and that looks very "oceany" to me. The damascus blade looks like a sand pattern on the beach. :-)
  20. Another happy M&P10 camper here. Aside from the stupid handguards, I don't think you could build a better gun for another $1,000 than they're charging. I'm a righty, but love the fully ambi features of the Smith. I dropped a 3.5lb single stage trigger in it and WHAMMO! awesome rifle.
  21. Haha! Yea yea yea... I dunno... I wuz just thinking there's a lot of landscape on that handle... maybe some kinda cool shadow lookin' outline of TN done in dark gray on the black background with the circle and bullet holes engraved therein. Kind of a sudbued thing. Maybe pizzazz was a little too "jazz hands" a word to use, lol! But hey, I'm just a schmuck who loves sharp stuff and things that go boom... my opinion doesn't matter, haha! Like I said, I'm in no matter what. If the blade was pepto pink and Barney the dinosaur was on the handle I'd buy it! ... um... well... actually maybe not if that were the case. Carry on folks, nothing to see here. :-)
  22. IN! Call me crazy, but I'd like to see a little more pizzazz. Regardless, take my money.
  23. This will be a full-sun, all day location. Good tip on that point, Patton. I'm hoping to plant probably right after Thanksgiving.
  24. These are some great suggestions, guys! I hadn't thought of the cherry trees before. I'm definitely going to look into the varieties mentioned. I already swore off bradford pears, haha! I do like some Crape Myrtles, so they are in the running as well.
  25. So stoked! I held the knife you sold to said lucky TGOer and it is AWESOME! Super excited for whatever TGO goodness you've got coming our way!
