  1. Reloader's Bench in Mt Juliet. Super great folks. Also, might call A&H Reloading just south of downtown nashville on 4th. Last I remember his inventory and schedule was always changing. Definitely better to call first. Then, exit 89 past Murfreesboro.... the Outpost. They have all of it. In stock. Maybe $5 more than you expect, but they usually have everything on hand.
  2. I think I'm done buying guns in 40. I have all the configurations and sizes I want, I'm going to 9 for most stuff in the future for capacity and cost. I've only got a few 9mm pistolas right now. The only reason I'm considering any glock other than the 40 (10mm) is to shoot GSSF, cuz I'm lazy and I like the idea of a competition where I don't even have to move my feet, lol! I only want the G40 cuz it's the biggest, ugliest, nastiest hi-cap 10MM around. :-D I'd much rather shoot cheaper 9 than 40. :/
  3. Found it, nevermind :-) $25 non members. I may see you there. I gotta load up some ammo tonight! My .40 well is almost dry!
  4. The plated bullets I got from them in 38 did have a cannelure. You may have to expand the pictures on their site if you're viewing on a mobile device, but you should be able to tell which have the cannelure and which don't.
  5. Silly question, what's the cost on this one? Thanks!
  6. Just to add to the thread drift... I'm not a Glock fan either, but I will eventually have a G34 (that's the long 9mm, right) so I can shoot GSSF every now and then, and a G40. Because. Other than that, meh.
  7. https://youtu.be/YOS065ZJwT4 Best review of that gun. Ever.
  8. I dunno. I worked in manufacturing at a guitar company for a few years. As some ridiculously stoopid things came down for production nearly every one of us players/buyers of guitars knew immediately if it was stupid and going to be a flop. We spoke, it didn't matter. There was one or two people up top who thought it was a cool idea, and they were in charge. It would take a backlog of unsold inventory in the warehouse for about 6 months before they "heard" what we were saying. It happened over and over. I imagine that wasn't the only place where this happens. To me, this ugly duckling seems like the pet project of one or two folks way up high, and by golly they're making this thing the way they want, everyone else be damned. I'm sure it's their attempt at the military contract, but the execution and design seems so bad that there's no way that many voices were part of the project. Or if there were, I'm sure many were simply ignored/silenced.
  9. I've only used their plated stuff, but was very happy with them in 9, 40, and 38/357. Sorry no lead experience.
  10. Cool beans... er... tomatoes! I haven't gotten around to preparing my garden during the winter yet. I could blame it on the lack of space, time, or whatever, but it's mostly just that I'm lazy and just pony up for plants that are just about to bear fruit in the spring and then plant them like they were just in the garden all along, haha! But seriously. I have a terrible yard. Two years ago I did everything in containers. Mostly peppers, squash, and some tomatoes. Last year I built two small raised beds and will probably just use those again this year. Maybe next year I'll bring in a truckload of soil, box it in, and go all crazy. Or not. I dunno. Anywho, good on a ya for gettin' a head start!
  11. I think the idea here is that Hickok45 himself does not spread his name. You list two sites which divulge his identity. Great. But those aren't Hickok's site. HE isn't going around telling everyone who he really is where he lives, and when is the best time to stop by for a chat. Can you probably look around and find the info? Absolutely. Is Hickok the one providing it? No.
  12. Purdy! For some reason I think of a shark when I see that. I should probably go to sleep, lol!
  13. Wonder if by using the term "incomprehensible" vs "unreadable" or similar that he may be referring to the idea that the text may be confusing, not illegible.
  14. Lol! All true. I know the sayings "different strokes for different folks" and "it takes all kinds", but at some point there needs to come a time where we can admit something is just crap, lol!
  15. Yehbut, how awesome is it now that we can have it as a chunky, heavy, .380 paperweight with a horrendous trigger, huh?!?! Yay Remington! :/
  16. Lol! I'm sure he could use the handy duffle bag for his golf cleats and gloves!
  17. Wish there was a "tongue-in-cheek" emoticon so I could know that was sarcasm. :-D
  18. Bwahahaha!!! Maybe you should get some ammo too... ya know... in case things get really ugly. Empty mags are useless in a defense situation.
  19. Just FYI I ordered these right before I posted this thread last night. UPS just sent my tracking number. :-) I'm happy with that! HP, Mrs Monkey, and anyone else trying these out, please let me know what you think of the mags when they arrive. I'd like to know how you feel about them. :-)
  20. Nice! I like the looks of that. I'm about to order a handful of holsters... these guys are now in the running for that order. And nice M&P, btw. :-)
  21. Just in case anyone here hasn't checked the general discussion area: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/93665-great-deal-on-some-of-my-fav-ar-mags-as-low-as-9ea-free-shipping/#entry1343495
  22. I dunno that any of us "need" more, lol! But do I want them? Heck yes I do! :-D As for the Elite Match, the price on them rises and falls like the tide. I've seen them as high as almost $900, a few months ago about $750ish. I got mine around $680 something, and then a few days later the price went down around 30 bucks. Bud's has a price guarantee through some vendor and they cut me a check for the difference. No complaints here! Price is $719 at Bud's right now. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/mobile/product/54981/eaa_600650_witness_elite_match_14+1_10mm_475 I will give you this warning... the mag may not go into the gun when fully loaded. Mine don't go in with 13 or 14 rds. It will just barely go in with 12. When empty or with 11 or fewer rounds, everything is fine, and the mags drop free just fine. Actually, they JUMP out! My second Witness, a standard model, exhibits this to less of an extent. Only at 13 rds does it start to drag. A 14rd mag will not go in. It doesn't matter which mag (I have 7 I use between the 2 guns) is used, it's that the frame is just a little tight for the mag when it starts to swell. The 10MM is the only version of the gun that exhibits this problem, from what I've read. I was disappointed when I found this out, but I love the gun so much I've decided to just run it as a 10rd gun until I have a smith tune it up for me. EAA has a terrible reputation for customer service, and you have to pay shipping both ways for warranty work. I know all of that sounds like I'm trying to talk you out of the gun, but I promise I'm not! It's a freakin' joy to shoot, and a laser beam. Coming from a Glock (or any striker gun, really) background, the trigger will spoil the crap out of you. The nice heavy frame makes it a total pussycat. Get the wolff recoil spring kit and use the heaviest one that is reliable. I went and put the heaviest one in first... can't remember now if it's 21 or 23 lbs... and I haven't had a single hiccup with anything from basic Remmy white box, Armscor, Sig Elite, Hornady, or any of my handloads. Gitchoo one!
