Um. Izzat a 10MM? Looks like a 938. I am not aware of any micro 10MM 1911s.
-
I doubt you'll find that. Anywhere. I can meet you at On Target in Murfreesboro one night, maybe week after next. I'm kinda booked up for the near future. I'd be happy to let you pop off a few rounds. :-) And that'll get me back on the stick about making some more 10MM! I'm runnin' low. :/

Here's your two tone. ;-)

EAA Witness... lots of options in the way of different models. Based on the CZ75 platform. Doublestack. Read up on 'em. Glock ain't the only game in town. ;')

I've never bought one, but played with a neighbor's once. They will leave a little blister on you. That's all I'll say. :-D

Hhmmmm.... tough one. It'd come down to either an AR or my Mossberg 930. 13rds of 00 buck as fast as you can pull the trigger is nothing to sneeze at, though reloads are slow. Imagine how fast one could clear a campsite of adversaries in the woods with that kind of thing? Yikes!

Wow! Some excellent ideas here, and great work. I just love seeing what other members come up with. I had never thought to add some duct tape to the outside of the container. Great way to add a useful item with little to no extra bulk!

Nice! I love offset irons!

Wow. Gotta say, that's pretty impressive, especially these days. A successful businessman who recognizes, remembers, and appreciates those who supported him along the way. Very cool!

I've generally been happy with my HF stuff. I am not a craftsman or mechanic by trade. I do minor to medium stuff around the house and most of the work on our cars, unless electronics/computers are involved. I'd say 30% of the tools I use on a monthly basis are HF, 30% Craftsman stuff that was a huge gift from my in-laws, and a lot of specialty tools from Autozone (Duralast branded) as I worked there for a few years. I never get power tools from HF, generally hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, snips, and miscellaneous parts kits. They have a screwdriver set that has gray handles and orange or green trim for phillips vs straight edges. They are by far my favorite screwdrivers. Very comfy handles, tough, magnetic tips that just seem to fit right in a place where no Craftsman, Stanley, or no-name will do. They've gotten out many an almost-stripped head. When their high-polish wrench sets got insanely cheap a few years ago I bought the complete assortment as a third backup (yea, I'm a hoarder) to my Craftsman and Duralast sets. It's become my main set. It's no better than the others I have but no worse, either, and it cost WWAAAAYYYY less than either. If I had that first, I probably wouldn't have bought the Duralast set. The ONLY disappointment I've had with a HF tool is a 4lb hammer I bought years ago and set on a shelf. I didn't have a need for it until 3-4 years after I bought it. When the time came to use it to knock loose a stubborn brake rotor I retrieved the tool, took aim at the rotor and quickly raised my arm to prepare for the strike... and the head of the hammer decided to make a run for my workbench. I'm guessing the wood handle was probably pretty fresh when the hammer was made. Its time on my shelf allowed it to dry and shrink, letting that pig iron escape its duties. I just laughed and used a different hammer. Even though I got not a single use from that thing, it's still probably not the worst $4 I've ever spent. :)

I'm a huge Shield fan, and not a Glock fanboy. However, I don't think they are bad guns either. I just prefer the Smith brand. Removing brand preference aside, to me it would simply boil down to width of the gun and capacity. I generally carry as much gun as I can comfortably conceal. Sometimes that's an M&P compact (sometimes even with a fullsize mag and grip adapter) but most often the Shield. Quick question... if we're talking about the Shield, why aren't we also talking about a G43? If you're a Glock fanboy interested in a Shield, doesn't the 43 just make sense? I have also shot the 43 and am impressed with it. Great shooting little piece, but the grip is almost too small (not width or length, but depth forward to back) in that it feels like a little 380 to me, and I hate pretty much all of them, from the LCP to 42 and all others. The Shield's grip is about as small as I can go without feeling like the gun is swimming in my fat burger grabbers.

Haha! That's great. :-)

I see your 3x and raise you another 3x! :-D

I *have* carried my 5" Pro a couple times, but only when way out in the sticks, and kinda' just for fun. I also have a regular 4.25" fullsize, a compact, and a Shield. I carry the Shield probably 85% of the time, the compact 12%, and the fullz size or Pro once in a blue moon. 97% of the time I'm concealing. The 3% are woods walks, etc. To boil it down, the only real difference (for carry) is .75" of slide between the full size and 5" Pro. Grip and mags are exactly the same. If you like carrying around a gun that big anyways, is .75" a deal breaker for you?

Vortex Crossfire II, Bushnell AR BDC or Leupold VXR
musicman replied to I am Groot!'s topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I have a couple rifles with magnified optics on top and a set of fixed angled iron sights installed for closer up stuff. Absolutely love it. On my M&P10 I have a 6-18x Vortex Crossfire II (if I were doing it again now, it'd be a Diamondback) with 6x as the minimum magnification, the angled irons are a must for any type of quick acquisition. Though up close is not the purpose of the rifle, it's nice to have the option. I shot someone else's rifle at a 3 gun match that had some nice 1.5-7x or something on top, and a reflex red dot on an angled mount. It was one of the most natural and comfortable things to use. So fast for close engagement (maybe 30-40 yards and in) and then drilling 6" poppers further out. Shooting the rifle at a 45 degree angle is more comfy than vertical, imho. I have the angled irons cuz they're cheaper, but they might be replaced by reflex sights later on. 'Specially if I get my lazy butt to more 3 gun stuff. -
I've been thinking about the wording of my earlier post in regards to Trump and the Trumpets. Since I was questioned, I have thought "did I word that too strongly?" over and over. The answer is no. I have been working from 7 am to 9:50 pm with no longer than 2 hours' of break time all day. I haven't had time to write my treatise on Trump. However, while taking a Trump... er... dump... I came across this piece from Matt Walsh. It pretty much 100% explains exactly how I feel about Trump and his fans. Take 5 minutes and read through this. If it angers you... great! Why? http://www.theblaze.com/contributions/dear-trump-fan-so-you-want-someone-to-tell-it-like-it-is-ok-here-you-go/

No footage. Yea, he was moving. A co-worker saw the jerk driving away (white Chrysler 300) with the front bumper dragging on the ground. I WAS parked straight, and the impact moved my car 2 feet. It was kinda wet and you could see the scrape in the light film of mud on the pavement. That car is no ligtweight, it's a Volvo S80 with a V8 under that hood, and AWD. there's almost 3,000 lbs resting on those front two tires. I don't think there's any frame damage done, but I did just have an alignment and new tires put on about 4 months ago. I'm curious to see if tht remains unaffected or not.

Yes. I am saying I will not support Trump if he is the nominee. It is not a case of "they didn't pick my guy." It is a case of I do not believe at all in his values, morals, history, or promises. Remember, Trump himself is the one who claims his followers are crazy enough to still support him if he just shot someone dead in the street. I didn't come up with that on my own. He also freely states he just changes his message or persona to get a response. I'm just paraphrasing/interpreting his own assessment of his supporters. I would hold my nose and vote Kasich if I had to. I fully believe Trump would damage the country, and more acutely the idea of conservative principles, to a greater degree than would a Hillary or Bernie presidency. I am not saying that he is the SAME as Hillary or Bernie, but dangerous just the same.

Cruz is my choice of the currently available options. I don't know if I truly have the stomach for Donald Rump. I don't believe too much in Rubio, but if either Cruz or Rubio is the nominee I will definitely support either. With roughly 55-60% of the current vote between them, and 30% to Rump, that's what I'm hoping. If Dump gets the nomination, I will have fully lost all sliver of hope, respect, and loyalty to not only the Republican party, but the idea of "conservatives" in America. I will write in Gary Johnson at that point. If he was a viable option (or any libertarian) I would support them right now. I simply cannot understand the stupidity and short-sightedness (both forward and backward) of the Dump supporters.

That is where I parked for work that morning, about 45 minutes into the day. I work in Antioch, just off Linbar Drive. The turdsack that did it just drove off. Insurance is still taking care of it, but still kind of a bummer that i have to shell out the cost of 1k rds of 9mm to cover my deductible. :/ Poop happens, it was just my day I guess. I'm very thankful that I'm at least in a position where that didn't cause too much grief. I have a rental and I should have my car back by next week. A few years ago that would have seriously set us back financially. While not excited about it now, in the scheme of things it just doesn't really matter.

Vortex Crossfire II, Bushnell AR BDC or Leupold VXR
musicman replied to I am Groot!'s topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
The Leupold is in a different class (and 2.5x the price) of the others. No contest there. However, move up to a Diamondback from Vortex and now you have a competition. -
Glad you got it running! Just one point, for future reference: boresighting generally doesn't work in such a way that one would expect to hit the bullseye - or even be that close, reaaly - but to simply try to get the scope and barrel close enough to be on paper at the range. From there you can dial the optic in to the bullseye. It's just meant to take a little headache out of things to get started, ajd maybe save a little ammo trying to find the target. It sounds like the folks at the shop did a fine job. :-) I don't like other dudes pawin' my guns so I don't let the countermonkeys boresight for me. I don't mind a lot of shooting, either. If I'm shooting a standard bolt gun, I pull the bolt and do it this way:http://www.survivalistboards.com/showthread.php?t=92827 Otherwise, start close... 25 yards even. Get close. Move to 50 yards. Bring it back in. Go to 100. Bring it in again. Welcome to the shooting sports! You'll have tons of fun one minute and wanna pull yer hair out the next. Ain't it great!?!

Somebody get this lady a pre-lock S&W 686... STAT!!! :-D

I have seen this posted in lots of places now, and have even gotten emails from friends about it. That tells me there will be lots of folks checking it out. Seeing the results of a lot of these type of auctions, I don't know that too many deals will be had. I'm guessing it'll end up being a great way to find a $300 hi-point C9 or a thrashed model 10 for $750. :/
