  1. Have you seen the new SeaRay boats drive system? It's joystick controlled as well, and capable of moving perfectly sideways, making docking in tight spots a cinch!
  2. Hm... sounds like your mind is already made up. Get a Corvette. My dad has an '02 and he gets 26-27 city and over 30 highway. At 80 mph the engine is turning over something like 1400 RPM. How much are C4s going for these days?
  3. What I can bring: 1 bag of Kingsford charcoal 1 big cooler with 3 bags of ice Napkins
  4. I didn't get some of Chris Bangle's designs at first, but I think the current BMWs are simply fantastic (minus the goofy undercarriage line on the new 1 series) This, however, is somethign entirely different.... prepare for your mind to be blown! [ame] [/ame]#
  5. Sweet!! That's a great looking rifle, and the price can't be beat!

    Revolvers?

As anyone who has been shooting with me knows, I am a revolver guy. I have 6 handguns, all revolvers. I have owned a lot more, and a number of semis, but when money got tight it was bye-bye bottom feeders. I definitely want semis again, but the revos I have would be much harder for me to replace than the semis I had before. Nothing worng with semis, I just like my revolvers. Plus I reload, and I don't have to chase brass all over the range with my guns!
  7. DW Commander Bobtail in 10MM... nuff said. http://www.czusa.com/product_detail.php?id=66
  8. Looks tacticool, but I think I'd have a hard time getting used to that for a sight picture.
  9. sweet 27! oh... and a bottom-feeder.

    Got Guitar?

I play electric guitar and bass. I'm not great at either, but I enjoy it all. Here are some of my toys: L to R : 1981 Ibanez AR350 Artist, Fender Hwy 1 Texas Tele, 1977 Ibanez PF300 (think Frampton), Fender Hwy 1 Strat w/ Lindy Fralin p/ups. I have since sold off the Strat.... man I miss that guitar. Some closeups of the babies! Me playing: What's weird is that bass has always been my primary instrument!! I play at church every Sunday and have been for 8 years. But I've only got one bass, a Yamaha Michael Anthony series 5 string running through some Ampeg stuff. For some reason, I like playing metal guitar at home, but I'm just not that good at it. I'm not really good at bass either, but I'm better on bass than on guitar. I really want to learn to play bass in the black gospel style. I hope maybe next year I can seek out a good teacher and take some lessons. I LOVE black gospel music. Too bad I'm a cracker!!

    Value of gun

I hit it on the 5th or 6th shot, then shot about a dozen more times and hit it again. Pretty much everything was landing within 6-8 inches of the ball, and I had to hold the front sight WWAAAAAAYYYYYY high. You could almost see the barrel on top of the rear sights!!! I know, I didn't make it the first few times, but I still think that was pretty cool! The very first sight I just sighted as normal and the bullet landed about 10 ft shy of the ball, which was sitting on a slight uphill grade. I have a witness, but wish I had a video camera!

    Value of gun

Wow, thanks KahrMan!! I don't have a blue book. Guess I paid just about the right price for mine. I feel like I got a good deal.

    Value of gun

I paid $425 FTF 2 years ago for a 4" 99% nickel mod 19-5, no box. I was happy with the purchase, and it is one of my favorite guns. A couple months ago, I hit a golf ball at over 85 yds with it. Open sights, shooting 148gr HBWC 38s. It's an amazing gun.
  14. Sorry, I spelled his name wrong in the first post. Here's his site: http://ahrendsgripsusa.com/ I think he only makes grips for Smiths and 1911s right now. I have a few other pairs of his stuff, and they are all first class. He makes a cool round to sw butt conversion grip that works well to turn that m64 snub into a longer-range shooting affair.
  15. I gotta disagree, kinda. CHEAP little wood grips suck, but well-made little wood grips are awesome, plus they look amazing! These are Ahrens grips on my 64-4. I love 'em!!

  17. I rotate carry ammo every now and then and a regular player for me is the BB std pressure 150gr hardcast wadcutter loading. I expect no expansion out of a snub so a HP design is pointless in my opinion. I want sharp edges and penetration and this load delivers, based on the informal testing on inanimate objects I have done. It also has a very low flash in dark situations. It's recoil is much less snappy than most 38s, more like a push. I was given a box by a friend and forum member, and appreciate it very much! (Thanks Todd!)
  18. This depends on what you mean by the word "quality". If you are asking if the gun will go bang with as few issues as any other brand, then yes, I would concur that it is a quality gun. This is the functional side of quality. Now the next thing is fit, finish, feel, and polish. This includes all those tactile delights that can't be measured the same as functionality. Does everything work smoothly, line up nicely, lock up like a bank vault, etc? Do you enjoy using the gun? This is where the differences lie. Both a Ford Focus and a Ferrari F50 will transport you from your residence to your place of work. What is your desire? (and budget!?) If all I need to do is get to work, then the Ford is great. (I drive a FoMoCo product myself) If you want the thrill of the best there is, and have the money, the F50 (or any other fine Ferrari product) is the way to go. Why do you want the gun and what is your budget? I believe a Rossi is probably a fine choice for a defensive handgun, and just as good for a range gun, too. I have shot a few different ones and they have all worked flawlessly. However, I find myself seeking guns with a little more panache. This is just my personal opinion and not meant as any sort of flame, or to step on anyone's toes. So far my favorite 357 has been my 6" S&W 19-3, with a good 4"-6" 686 coming a close second. This is because I have not had the chance to shoot guns like Korths, Freedom Arms, or other high end guns, nor the money to purchase them at this point. I have found a great mix of price and performance in my current collection.
  19. I like the idea of a sale log with signatures only. I have purchased and sold guns with NO paperwork before. Like Hunter and others have mentioned, I like the idea of having a number of pieces with no paper trail in case the grabbers get their way. (Look through history... it happens) I think, however, that I will start a log with type, model, serial number, date, and signatures for future purchases and sales. I don't see how this private, personal log would affect my situtation if the gun grabbers came. I'd just hide/destroy the log and be done with it. I'm glad I read this thread.
  20. ND Machine? Leg Destroyer? "OOPS! Gun"
  21. Me likey 327 snub and 686!
  22. Ya know, I love an 8 shot .357 just as much as the next guy. However, it just doesn't seem right to have tac rail and holosight on a wheelgun. I can see how it's "tacticool" and all... I'm just a lover of classy wheelguns. I think what I like about them is how they are normally the antithesis of the tupperware club. Of course.... I still want one!
  23. Well put, DWarren... how 'bout... Events transpire!
  24. No worries. I'm glad you work so hard to keep this great place going for the rest of us! That, and I have no idea what it means to "mangle a query"!
  25. I dunno... the name "streak guy" just reeks of incontinence!!!
