  1. AMEN about the poopin'!! I had to have my elbow screwed back together when I was 18. It was a long surgery (over 8 hrs) and I didn't poop until the 4th day. It literally felt like I crapped a 6" wide iron pipe. That was the closest I've come to knowing what it's like in prison! I literally sat on the toilet an cried it hurt so bad.
  2. Leave it to Strick to take it there!! Gotta love it!
  3. Hey! Donuts are a perfect compliment to a hearty meal of grilled garlic pork tenderloin, I'll have you know!
  4. Hope you're back in shape before this happens to you! [ame] [/ame]Watch about the two minute mark. That guy is crazy! Is it normal to spray elk pee in your mouth.
  5. Come on over!! You're only like 6 minutes away. I got 7 left!!
  6. ...a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts and no one else in the house to steal 'em! My wife is out of town this week, and I've been craving some yummy donuts for a couple months. She's been on a health kick of sorts, and I'm still as fat as ever. Anways, she's gone and it's safe to bring contraband into the fort for now, so here goes donut #5!!! aaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
  7. Yea, that was cool. I called my Mom in Miami and we both had a good laugh over it.
  8. Dude!! Did you see Tom totally cut Obama off!! That was pretty awesome.
  9. Good point.
  10. Wowee!! Me likey! I wonder what kind of velocity they're losing with that 4" (or so) barrel?
  11. If you MIL is anything like mine, I am starting to fonally understand the saying "you can't talk horse sense to a jacka%$" Like others have said, I have had to resort to "oh yea, they're all registered and legal." Moron. On the brighter side, I have a nice pork tenderloin on the grill and hope to be in dinner-bliss in about 10 minutes!
  12. Thanks! That was my very first revolver. I bought it from Jack's (at Gun City in Nashville) personal collection and am very happy with it! It started my lust for guns with revolving cylinders!
  13. And a nice ad for "James Kleppinger - Farmers Insurance - 615-223-1485" would look great on there, too! The graphic will even match your red and blue scheme! But seriously, I really like the line "serving those who serve" under those three charity logos. Good idea Cany!
  14. I'm not usually a patch kind of guy, but I'd buy a couple of these.
  15. Do you have a slogan or anything that you might be able to add to the sides... something to give a little more information? Maybe a "Salute/Support Our Troops" or something, too? I dig the overall graphic.
  16. You mean my bad ping-pong back hand will never come in handy? DANG!
  17. Welcome to the wonderful world of gun ownership!! Congrats on your first gun. Tell us about it! We love pictures, too. To start out, I don't really think you need shootng rests or anything fancy. Right now you should be working on gun safety, sight picture, and trigger control. You can worry about shooting flies at 1,000 yards later. Where do you live? There are usually 2 or 3 monthly meets across the state where you can get together with the rest of the crew and learn by (sometimes poor) example. Also, you can shoot lots of different guns and learn what you like and don't like. Look in the "events and gatherings" section for the shoot nearest you. While there is a lot to be said for reading and learning about guns, there's nothing like learning to shoot by actually shooting! Happy Plinkin'!
  18. WWB at wally for range use suited me well. Basically, whatever was cheapest was whaty I bought before I started loading for .40. The only thing that gave me trouble was Wolf steel cased stuff. Stuck in my chamber real bad... didn't even get through half of the box before I had 4 jams that needed to be hammered out. I gave the rest of it away. Folks seem to like thh Winchester Ranger stuff for defence. I dunno if you can still find it, but a bunch of LE marked stuff was dumped on the market a couple years ago and was almost as cheap as plinking ammo... like $11-12 a box. CDNN and Ammoman.com both had it in bulk. Have fun!
  19. from I understand China has been in a slump as well, and since the Olympics they haven't really been buying oil or other materials in any great amount... much less than they had been over the last year. They were on a tear for the Oly's, trying to make a good impression to the world. Now that's over, and they've watsed billions.
  20. Cool! So you're bringing enough ammo for the rest of us to shoot at the next meet, right?
  21. I'm a proud negative 22!
  22. Doin' anything Thursday night? I'll probably be loading .357 by then. I'll be working on .44 tonight.
  23. My mom dealt with roughly the same thing. She had a chunk of disc that has separated and had nerves wrapped around it getting all tangled up. They had to untangle the nerves from that piece (the hardest and most dangerous part of the surgery) and pull the chunk out through a little hole. Then they "hollowed out" two of her vertebrae a little bit to create some room to keep the nerves from pinching. She was on heavy narcotics (they nly gave here a 5 day prescription at a time) and she was a hoot to talk to! It was like she was drunk for about 6 weeks straight. (My mom has never had a sip of alcohol!) Anyways, all that to say that it's going to suck, but hopefully it will all be worth it for you. Take care bud!
  24. Bummer dude! What all are you having done to your back? My mom had pretty serious back surgery and she's doing better now (about 4 mos. later) than she has in the last 5 years.
