  1. I went last year and was a little let down to be honest. But, I did find my favorite new hot sauce! It's the Jack Daniel's Habanero Hot Sauce. I'm on my third bottle since last October! They sell it at Publix, too. I treated that first bottle like liquid gold and used it sparingly and almost cried when I finished it. A week later or so I was shopping at Publix and decided to find a new hot sauce, and there was my JD hot sauce!! I literally sreamed "YESSS!!!!!" and ran to share the good news with my wife, who denied knowing me at all for the rest of the time we were in the store. Whatever, it was worth it! Have fun and eat some ribs for me. Oh, and last year this Swedish group had some incredible pork tenderloin!
  2. You'd be surprised my friend!
  3. Do you have a .22? THAT would save you some money!
  4. :doh:Yea, at first I had 73 smilies up there, but the software kicked it back to me!
  5. I am buying my pumpkins tomorrow.. hope to have pics up Sunday!
  6. ...but my favorite Christian metal band Diciple is gunna bet at Hard Rock in Nashville Wednesday! ONLY $5!!!! I'm gunna head up a group of teens from my church and go see 'em. Anybody else into that kind of stuff? It'd be cool to have a little TGO concert event! I'm so stoked!! I got to go to one of their concerts when I was first learning to play guitar, and I was just starting to play their albums. I got there super early and helped the band unload their bus, and I sat there and chelped Brad (the guitar player) change strings on his guitars and he showed me how to play one of the songs i couldn't quite figure out! That's a day I'll never forget... it was sooooo cool! They just released a new album Tueday, and you can listen to the whole thing on their site here http://disciplerocks.com/ :hyper::hyper::woohoo::rock::biglol::clap::clap::bow::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::rock::rock: (Does this go down as the most excessive use of smilies ever on TGO?
  7. I understand what you mean about finances going crazy!! I've been in a 2 yr slump personally since starting my business, but that's all part of the game. Someday, it will all turn around.... I hope.... right?! What gun are you shooting .357 sig in? Can you just get a drop in barrel and switch mags or anything like that? I know you can usually go to .40 pretty easy, not sure about going to 9mm. I'm a wheelgunner, so I don't deal with these types of problems very often. The nice thing about 357 sig is that you can load it just as cheaply as 9mm. well.. a little more in powder, but that's not much more $$ to drop another couple grains in a case. Thankfully I have started to see some component prices come down a smidge from the smaller mfgrs of lead bullets already... maybe we'll see the same for jacketed soon... but I'm not holding my breath!
  8. I haven't started loading any bottlenecked cases yet so I'm no real help, but here are some links for you. Hope they help! http://www.reloadammo.com/357sig.htm <---- Good resource for info on reloading in general http://www.recguns.com/Sources/IVG15.html Lots of good info here once you get past the first bit about department usage. Let us know how things go!
  9. I'm gunna try out the TWRA range on Hobson. I've only visited there once to buy brass from a guy... never shot there B4.
  10. Wow! That's a pretty crazy graphic there! But I agree... I get through about the first page of most of them... and then they all devolve into the same thing... somebody thinks Palin is a ditz, and someone else is willing to trade freedom for a little "security". I'm done with it all at this point. I've already voted, so even if some goober could make me change my mind and vote for the grand supreme savior of the world, it would be too late anyways. On a brighter note... I think I'm going shooting tomorrow, if the weather isn't too bad! I can't wait! I haven't been shooting in about 3 months! I'm gunna burn though some of the 7.62x54r I got last weekend, and try out my first magnum loads using 2400. All the old guys say that it's the bomb for magnum stuff.
  11. ahhh... that makes more sense!! I had the volume down when I watched it and only caught bits and pieces of the dialogue. That makes sense, seeing as how his arms or whatever were way out front of his body prior to the BOOM!
  12. You got it, dude! I like using the GA factory ammo. I reload, but am still trying to build up brass reserves so whenever the urge catches me, I'll buy a box or two of the GA 357 or 44 Mag ammo. I really dig it because they use Starline brass which is pretty much the best brass on the planet, in my opinion. It has all been very consistent and accurate for me so far. Good luck, and post some pics of the guns in action!!!
  13. Yep. My mom got a $2,000 offer for that Pfaff I mentioned earlier!
  14. Yea, a letter from Roy Jinks at Smith & Wesson is just $30 I believe... a steal comparatively!
  15. I wanna know what caliber gun that was. I'm doubting it was a .380, .38, or even a 9mm. I almost even doubt a .45. I'm sure most of us have seen that video where that guy in the police station pulls a .45 out of his pants and shoots himself in the head, and that wasn't anything like that... just a pop and a hole in the head. (found it... http://www.snopes.com/photos/gruesome/interrogate.asp ) I'm thinking this was something high velocity... more kinetic energy like a 357 Sig, 357 Mag, 10MM (just don't think a .40 could cut it) or 44 mag. Common wisdom seems to hold that thugs are generally carriers of cheaper guns in lesser calibers, but maybe this was someone who knew his stuff?
  16. or New Mexico!
  17. I think that means "never mind"
  18. And that last sentence is how I see it, Eddie. +1
  19. Good trade, Mama! My wife has a Singer she's never used, and my mom still uses a 40-50 year of Pfaff. No help here, I guess.... sorry!
  20. I haven't bought any 1911 grips (cuz I don't have one yet) but I have 3 pairs of revolver grips from Kim Ahrends. His stuff is awesome, and reasonably priced. You can also actually call and talk to him, and tell him what you have and what you're looking for, and he'll work with you! Check out his stuff: http://ahrendsgripsusa.com/1911.htm
  21. AWESOME!! I want an 1894 in 44 Mag sooo bad!! I've got the .357 combo already. I have no idea where Rogersville is, but The Reloaders Bench in Mt Juliet TN usually has a pretty good price on Georgia Arms' 44 Mag new production ammo. The reloaded stuff is a little cheaper still. If you are cool with mail order ammo, youc an get it direct from Georgia Arms, too.
  22. Good point. I just want a 1911 daggummit! I have no idea what 500% tax on guns and ammo will look like... I just want what I want now! Oh yea, the first AWB didn't affect me at all either. I've only been shooting about 3 yrs.
  23. I think the next few years are not going to be kind to us gun owners. I'm trying to stock up on components, since I reload. If I had a grand right now, I'd buy a $450 RIA 1911, two stripped AR lowers, mags (already have 6 for the AR) and as much .223 as I could. I think I'd be able to get the uppers later as I could afford them.
  24. Hey Todd, is that a Hornady load, or some other brand using their bullet? Just the other day I saw one of the European makers, Fiocchi I think, loading that bullet in 357 mag. I didn't check to see if they had them in .38 special though. BTW, just noticed the feedback, thanks!
