    S&W Model 19-4

You also asked for info... how 'bout some opinion? You just bought one of the best weapons ever made, IMO! With the 4"-6" barrels, they are incredibly well balanced, and super versatile. From powder-puff paper punching wadcutters to heavy-duty magnums, the model 19 can do it all. I've got a 6" 19-3 and a 4" 19-5 for the wife. I will never sell or trade those guns, even as others may come and go. Congratulations on your purchase! PICS!! Tell us a little more... barrel length, finish, etc.
  2. EMP, no question. I've shot a few Paras at the range, and I can only recall one of them being flawless. Never a problem out of the Springfields for me so far.
  3. ahhhh....... gotcha. Dang, I'm just not up on all my "evil black gun" hardware.
  4. What the heck is part (iii) referring to? A slide? Geez that's some crazy crap!
  5. Cool! Love those shots with the muzzle flash!
  6. The more recent Steyrs have been pretty good guns, as far as I know. I shot their polymer pistols in 9mm and 40 and liked both of them. Kinda' Glockish, and just like the Glocks, nothing special, but nothing awful. Neither malf'ed on me through a couple mags each.
  7. I have no idea who Lucy Pinders is. Sorry! However, I think Weird Al is a pretty cool guy, even if he's not an A lister. This little bit of news came out right after the release of "Poodle Hat", his 2nd most recent album. Yea, I'm a nerd and I'm cool with that!
  8. Be careful there. Seriously, that's how Weird AL Yankovic's parents died a couple years ago. His Dad started a fire, didn't open the flu, and they died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Sad stuff. http://www.usatoday.com/life/music/2004-04-11-weird-al-parents_x.htm
  9. That was great! Wish I had a second story to do that from back in Miami! The neighbor's cats were always on my car back home. I guess they were attracted to it because it was a ThunderBIRD! I beaned them with tennis balls every now and then, but they never stopped!
  10. Too bad ya'll missed the carving, then! We scattered 9 pumpkinz' guts all over the backyard! It was a mess!
  11. Cool! Thanks everybody!
  12. My guilty pleasure is tennis. The US open a few months ago was FREAKIN' GREAT! I finally get tennis since I started playing tennis on Wii. I never understood how the game was scored until I played it and could see how it all worked. Now I understand what's going on, and it's a BLAST! It's fast-paced, but can stil be a game that goes on for hours. To me, baseball is just a game that goes on for hours.... that's about it. I will say though, I was at game 7 of the World Series in Miami when the Marlins won, and that was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I wasn't even watching when Craig Counsel crossed home plate. See... I brought my post back on topic!... sort of!
  13. For ready-made guns see http://www.bushmaster.com/ and http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=11101&storeId=10001&categoryId=33803&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=15701&top_category=15701 To see about making your own see http://www.model1sales.com/ , http://www.pkfirearms.com/store/start.aspx and http://jtdistributing.net/store/kits_all.html These are just some places to give you ideas. Once you have some idea what you want, I'd go down to Hero Gear and talk to Joe, Dan, and the boyz.... and the dog... that dog is a trip!
  14. AR! But take the time to figure out exactly what you want and build it yourself. They're fun!
  15. Gee, what would a map with McDonald's look like?
  16. Yea, my wife and I voted the night of the 17th and stood in line for about an hour and a half!

Cool! What'd you shoot that one with?
  19. I shoot them in my Ruger Single six all the time. Just clean the chambers before shooting long rifles again, as the longer cases tend to stick in the crud left by the shorter cases. It's just like shooting 38s in a 357.
  20. yea, I seriously don't even know who's playing. I honestly don't give a crap about most professional sports any more. Go Marlins!
  21. The LE part of the wadcutter is from way before the SWCHP. We're talking LEO of 60-70 years ago, not 30-40 years ago. Regardless, any round that has sufficient gusto to penetrate and disrupt the CNS with proper shot placement is something that should not be scoffed at. Granted, I'd RATHER a 44 Mag with a max load of H110 and a 240gr Hornady XTP, but I'm just not going to carry that every day.
  22. Yep, the "semi" part of the term "semi-wadcutter" is what makes the bullet have that raised section up front. WWMike's picture shows a semi-wadcutter just below the wadcutter. There are also SWHCs, which is a semi-wadcutter with a hollow point. For wadcutters, most are a HBWC design, which means a hollowbased wadcutter. These are for low-velocity target loads ONLY! There have been cases of the thinner skirts separating from the bullet and obstructing the bore in hotter loads. For defense purposes, you want a DEWC, which stands for double-ended wadcutter. This bullet looks the same on boths ends, as it's just a cylinder, plain and simple. It, of course, will have lube grooves, etc. Don't expect any expansion out of this type of bullet, but it is great at penetrating flesh and cutting arteries, nerves, etc inside the body. I carry Buffalo Bore's standard pressure loading of a 150gr hardcast wadcutter in my model 64. (Thanks again, Todd!)
  23. I'm from Miami... been watching nice places go to crap all my life.
  24. People who can't think for themselves.... that's what's up. People who can't think for themselves.
