Me and a buddy have gotten jumped by a group of people in the quarter, nothing political, just a barfight really. Later he and a different friend were robbed at gunpoint not far from the quarter. He doesn't own any guns and doesn't have any interest to as far as I know, but he did his part and ID'ed the crook assisting in a successful arrest not long after.

My dad used to work at The Coin Purse in Green Hills. Some of you might know the place, it deals in coins of all kinds, including rare hard to find and expensive ones. For that reason they are a well armed store. I used to love going there as a kid to look at the guns.

Well like I said it should be coming in tomorrow. Ordering online just saves money plain and simple. I would've bought at least a little at a store but I thought it was coming in sooner then it was. I'm always either at work or at school where I can't carry anyway, and up until a couple nights ago I worked at a location that never had any problems so I didn't care that much, so for all those reasons combined I wasn't too worried about not immediately having ammo.

No, but I have made the mistake of grabbing someone's half-filled beer leftover from the night before, a few times. At one point I caught my buddy intentionally scooting the old beers closer to my fresh one.

A couple nights ago at the Domino's I work at, late one night, the store manager tells me to stay in the back because a couple guys are casin' the place (he thinks). He made sure they know he was here and didn't want them to know I was. I sit in the back, and I grab a knife just in case. They leave, but come back later after I had left for the night, leaving just the manager and 1 driver there. At this point, he calls the police, NMPD. 3 undercovers are sent to the scene just driving around to see if they do anything. The manager and driver go to the bank to deposit the cash and they make their move. Undoubtedly they were attempting to hijack the drop. We have no idea how armed they were if at all, but they were fortunately thwarted by the 3 UC's that swarmed them the instant they made a move and chased them down to a dead end street where I have no doubt they were apprehended. I think this is a perfectly legitimate reason for Domino's to allow us to keep at least some kind of firearm within the store. I would ask to be allowed to carry on delivery but we deliver to schools and I know they'll shoot that down as long as concealed carry is banned on school grounds.

TMMT-I've been through the nations, not anytime recently, but I know the area. Also, do you have links to these studies? I've been through parts of New Orleans and Baton Rouge much worse then anything in TN. The kinda places where you're at serious risk simply because you're white. Eapking-I know a true story about a man who tried to rob a gun store. Don't know any of the names involved and I don't remember where, what I do remember is that the staff, the on duty officer, and the customers all drew on him. One of the customers got the first shot off and took him out.

If you it to actually legally protect you, it should probably be notarized. I prefer a bill of sale depending on who I'm selling to.

I understand. I'm enrolled in Nashville State's CSI program right now, and I have a lot of respect for police officers. A lot more then I used to after living in Baton Rouge and seeing what they have to go through in a high crime/high poverty city after a hurricane. I certainly didn't mean any disrespect to any officers here.

There are good cops and bad cops plain and simple. With a lot of them I imagine the stress just gets to them, with others, I have no doubt that they really are just dicks.

Protects buyer and seller. Protects seller in case buyer commits a crime with it later, protects buyer in that it prevents seller from turning around and claiming it was stolen.

Thanks for all the input guys. I used to deliver bagels to Belmont in the mornings, I know that Wedgewood area somewhat, and yeah, just driving through Edgehill makes me nervous.

I'm doing my final speech for my class at Nashville State on why people should be allowed to carry on campuses if they have a carry permit. I've already been to concealedcampus.com and I've grabbed a couple useful historical quotes. I just want to hear the opinions of the TGO members to make I've got all my bases covered and to see if any of you guys have any particularly well worded thoughts on the subject that I can plagiarize.
