  1. He's addressing his known demographic, plain and simple. He knows that highest voter turnout has always been the elderly, and he knows his votes are amongst the young and the minorities, those people who desire change. Everybody knows most old people hate change simply because they've gotten accustomed to whatever system they have and they wanna keep it that way. This is Marketing 101, and he's done plenty of other things to be upset about, not this petty whatnot.
  2. I wouldn't wanna spend 1500+ on a shotgun. Based on what you've told me I'm probably just gonna look into the Norinco 12 ga trench gun.
  3. I'm looking to get a good shotgun that's magazine fed, box, not tubular. I was looking at an RAA .410 Saiga online but the more I look at the website the less I trust it, and it noticed it features plastic magazines. I'm sorry but I just can't put that much faith in plastic mags, anybody here know a good box magazine fed shotgun, if it has a large enough capacity I'd like to get .410 since I've already got a bunch of .410 shells lying around, but if not it's no big deal.
  4. Those who come for my guns will get them. One bullet at a time. That's all I have to say on the matter.
  5. Those are nice. I'm in the middle of an ebay bidding battle for a set of grips for my Para 1911. I get up at 6 every morning so I've got first strike capability within the last 2 hours of the bidding window. He doesn't stand a chance.
  6. I've heard nothing but bad things about Serpas, and to be honest I'll be glad to see him go since I'm trying to become a CSI and it would be more convenient for me to go to Nashville Metro. Honestly I have no idea why anybody would want to be an officer in any capacity in the city of New Orleans.
  7. I snore pretty bad, my dad's even worse he could out do one of those lumberjack competitions sound wise.
  8. Pushing.
  9. I have a tendecy to miss high and to the left. Anybody know what that one means? This has happened in multiple stances.
  10. The fact that you can see the bullets and know it's loaded is what the polled criminals gave as their reason for being more scared of revolvers then semi-autos. As far as the polymers go, there's nothing like the feel and appearrance of a heavy, steel handgun, revolver or semi. The only reason I pointed out the part about the people polled being criminals is because I imagine a bank won't be as concerned with intimidating civilians as they are with intimidating criminals.
  11. I've been told from a former homicide detective that there's a poll showing that criminals said they are much more scared by a revolver then a semi-auto.
  12. And here I thought you were going to say you were a man of wealth and taste.
  13. Update, still winning the bids, if this works out and I decide to use those grips I'm totally naming my pistol Megatron seeing as how he originally transformed into a giant gun.
  14. I'm guessing all of these things would work just as well for cleaning and preserving wood grips on a 1911. Am I right?
  15. Found a couple good pairs of 1911 grips on Ebay, one set of wood grips with mother of pearl inlay of the transformers decepticon logo on each grip (sounds ridiculous I know, but I love it) bid on that one. Keeping an eye on a set of custom polymer grips with grim reaper imagery and fake ruby eyes.
  16. You should look into something with more steel, in my opinion.
  17. Not a big fan or shorter barrels despite the convenience they give to concealed carry. Just a personal thing.
  18. I really fail to see the big deal over a parking space on either side. If it comes to confrontation over parking I will walk away content that the parking space gods will wreak their vengeance upon whoever was being an @$$.
  19. If you've got a good knife I say slit it's throat. That's the proper method, or would be if you were hunting the animal, but still.
  20. Thank you kckndrgn. That particular holster would come in very handy should I choose to carry on the job. Still a bit worried about the school grounds thing, but after looking at that holster I have complete confidence that nobody I don't want to see the gun ever will.
  21. I just don't see Russell Crowe being the right actor to be Robin Hood. I don't think he'll quite pull it off.
  22. I do a bit of trading, probably more then I should, but only because I haven't quite found what works for me yet. Actually, I just recently have. My para-ordnance LDA 1911. I love this gun because to be honest, cleaning it is kind of a pain compared to some other handguns, and certainly compared to double action revolvers that don't even need to be disassembled in any manner to be properly cleaned. Spending a lot of time cleaning a gun allows you to bond with it in a way, and spending a lot of time with a firearm period allows you to do that as well. Once this bond has formed as it sounds like it has for and your .357, I say cherish it. I spend an hour a day disassembling and reassembling my 1911, and it's often what I look forward to the most. Upkeep of any object has the potential to create this kind of bond.
  23. Yeah, I was much more worried about the whole carrying on school grounds felony then Dominos policy. I'd need a smaller gun. Thinking about picking up one of those Snakeslayers and throwing in 2 shells of 000 buck as a good vehicle gun. We get deliveries to Ensworth and Nashville Christian a lot. We go to some other schools but we supply the concession stands to Ensworth and NCS for sporting events. Big orders, good tips. It'll be a little bit before I can afford to pick up another gun though, with my truck it seems like it's somethin' new every day. I carried against company policy once while working for Blockbuster, but I was under direct order of the store manager. It was after Gustave hit Baton Rouge and we had no power and had already been broken into one night. One wall of our building was solid glass. Breaking into that store was like signing up for Geico. It was so easy a caveman could do it. The instant the store manager found out I had a handgun he told me to bring it in the morning when we opened.
  24. Beautiful. I'm using that one in my speech arguing for concealed carry on campus.
  25. "CNN couldn't find anyone to speak on Hayes' behalf" I wouldn't expect anyone to.
