His jumpin' around mighta looked fancy but he was slow and clumsy. I wasn't at all surprised by outcome, movie or real.

Got an easy trip to the Big Easy coming. What do you know about it?
Ebow1 replied to a topic in General Chat
Never got around to seein' it but always wanted to go to the Napoleon House. It's a restaurant that was originally established as a safehouse for Napoleon after he was busted off of whichever island he was exiled to. Obviously the plan failed, but the building has since been used as a restaurant, and they sell alcohol, which is enough for me to sit around. -

GGP2J7- I had stopped calling since I was told to. In no way was I trying to harass this woman and as soon as I realized she felt that way I ceased the behavior. I assumed she would want to know what was going on so that she could make a decision on what her actions would be. The first time I contacted her I told I was doing so because I may very well be taking her to court unless she would like to settle. I told her I didn't want to involve any court but I would if I had to and that I was contacting her to dicuss the matter and give her the opportunity to settle. She said she'd have to call me back, never did, so I called periodically to try and get in touch with her. I never left any messages as I didn't want them being used against me out of context. As for taking anybody to court goes, I'm at the point where I don't give a rat's rear end anymore. I told Traveler's Thursday or so that I needed in writing the policy that justifies the company's actions so that I could get it to my attorney. This is what Domino's told me to say because that usually gets their attention in situations like this. I still haven't heard anything back from them, and their response time on all other things in writing was much faster. This leads me to believe that they don't have a specific policy covering the matter and they're deliberating on how to handle it. That, and they are probably trying to find any trace of me online, especially through facebook since that's the big one. Fortunately I took steps when I first set up my facebook account to make sure that people looking for would not know where to look or what name to look for. I have no doubt that Traveler's will not find me online. Now, if they would either send me the check, or send me the policy, I'll leave everybody alone. -

I've already gotten rid of the facebook page. It wasn't generating hardly any activity anyway. -

To let her know how the process is going so she'll be as up to date about the whole situation as I am? -

Well, after contacting the other driver, and informing her that I didn't want to, but I would be taking her to small claims court if I had to, she said she would have to call me back. After not getting a call I tried calling a couple more times to keep her up to date as I'm still dealing with Domino's and Traveler's about the whole thing. I received a call from her father in a threatening tone that file a lawsuit if I want but to stop calling her. I think this is a bit of an overreaction, as I was merely attempting to keep her in the loop so she wouldn't be blindsided with the lawsuit. I mean this is just getting ridiculous. -

An employee is a representative of the company they are employed with. When they call me and say we are sending you a check, and then I get another call that says, oh wait, no we won't, I'm inclined to believe I'm still owed that check. It's the exact same thing if I promised people free pizza over the phone and then charged them when I got to the house. -

While Travelers is certainly not responsible for Domino's policy, they are responsible for the word of their employees. I was told I would be recieving a check for the lost wages, and the claim handler knew exactly why I was asking to be paid for the lost wages. I recieved another call saying they wouldn't pay me. Even if they have policy that puts them in the clear I had a verbal contract with their employee, and even if that was enacted because she had her head up her rear-end that is still the fault of Travelers for not keeping their employees up to date on their rules and policies. And yes, I will readily admit that Domino's pizza is garbage. -

Yes if I do take someone to court it will be the woman who rear-ended me. -
Sounds like it would've been cheaper to just re-route the roadway.

I can get a copy of the policy, and I have the message on my answering machine saying they would not pay me even though the representative told me they would, and yes, I made plans long ago to leave Domino's the instant I find another job. -
I think my favorite part is how the woman working there was still hollerin' that order 24 was ready.

Thank you Dolomite. I have no intention of ever reselling the truck, I plan on getting as many miles out of it as I can. Damage was minimal, the fender faces downward, and they were compliant about paying for that. I tried talking to a lawyer, he basically said I didn't have a case, continually cut me off while talking, and made it very obvious he just didn't care. If it comes down to going to court it looks like I'll be representing myself. -

Actually, I will be contacting the person who hit me today, to both attempt to persuade them to switch companies and to give them a chance to rectify the situation themselves without getting a court involved, but yes, if these actions fail then small claims court will be my next step. -

The fact is that if their client hadn't rear-ended me I would've been able to work those 2 weeks, but instead, I was suspended without pay. -

Because I was suspended because their client hit my truck. Even if they're not responsible, their onw employee told me they were sending me the check, and then the very next day told me, oh wait, no we're not. If I promised free pizzas to someone over the phone, and then my manager called back and said we're gonna charge $34.67, most people would understandably be pissed. The woman who told me the check was on it's way is a Travelers employee and representative. They are responsible for abiding by her word in matters like this. -

A few weeks ago I was rear-ended by a person who had Traveler's Insurance. Being that I am a driver for Domino's and I was on the job at the time I was immediately suspened as per Domino's policy. Traveler's was somewhat cooperative with paying for the damage to my truck, however, after being suspended for 2 weeks because of the incident I had brought the issue of lost wages to their attention. One Friday I recieved a call saying they were sending me a check for $655.07. This amount was based on the pay stubs I had faxed them. The very next day I find a message from Traveler's refusing to pay. I left them a pair of messages about it and have no gotten no response, so now I will be drawing as much attention to this incident as I possibly can to persuade people to boycott this company, and to switch companies if they are members. If you are as disgusted as I am by not only the refusal to pay what I am owed, but also the refusal to abide by the given word of one of their own employees then please, contact Traveler's, tell them you will have nothing to do with the company, and tell them why. If there are those of you willing to drop them as an insurance company I can't thank you enough, I know it's a lot to ask, but I can't rest until I have made this company aware of how furious and disgusted I am with their deplorable behavior

Two nuns, a rabbi, a midget, and a giraffe walk into a bar. The bartender looks at them and says "What is this, a joke?".

An Italian scientist is researching frogs. He's got his frog, his laboratory and his clipboard. He commands the frog "jumppa frogga jumpaa". The frog jumps 40 feet. The scientist writes down, frog with 4 legs, 40 feet. CHOP! He chops off one of the frogs legs. He tells it again "jumppa frogga jumppa". The frog still jumps 30 feet. He writes down, frog with 3 legs, 30 feet. CHOP! He hacks off another one of the frog's legs and commands it again "jumppa frogga jumppa". The frog is still able to jump 20 feet. He writes down in his clipboard, frog with 2 legs, 20 feet. CHOP! He hacks off another leg and still tells the frog to jump. The one-legged frog is still able to jump 10 feet. He writes down, frog with 1 leg, 10 feet. CHOP! He cuts off the frogs fourth and final leg and still commands "jumppa frogga jumppa". The frog doesn't do a thing. The scientist writes down in his clipboard, frog with no legs is deaf. Not trying to offend any Italians, just telling the joke as it was told to me.

Burgers-Get some kind of soft cheese, and first make sure it tastes decent. I prefer a blue cheese of some kind. Mix it in with the raw meat so you've got the cheese inside the burger. Season it according to whatever kind of cheese you used.
