Traveler's Insurance lies to the victims of accidents.

It would, and I've looked into it a bit, but I'm pretty determined to get Traveler's to admit their mistake on this one. -

I can find plenty of people to bust my nose for me. It's just too late to do that and blame it on the wreck. -
What we've got here, is, failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. Now, I don't like it, anymore then you like it, but that's the way he wants it, well, he gets it!

If I had the opportunity I would buy that gun just for that number.

Traveler's Insurance lies to the victims of accidents.

I'll let the thread die when the issue dies, and as far as being injured goes, you better believe I'm makin' sure to bust my nose on the steering wheel the next time I get rear ended. -
Traveler's Insurance lies to the victims of accidents.

Traveler's has just sent me an email stating that they will neither send me the check or the policy and that this was explained to me previously. My reply was that if they won't send me the check then the need to send me the policy justifying their actions, seeing as how they won't send me either the only logical conclusion is that said policy does not exist. Without the policy I am only being given the word of their employees and I was already given the word of their employees that I would be receiving the check so it obviously is not that important to the company. That means I'm going to need one or the other. -
I like the Neos, just because it looks weird or like something off the Sci-Fi channel doesn't mean it's ugly. On a side note I'd bet money that the Sci-Fi channel has used those things as laser guns in one of their crappy original movies.

My dad worked at a small coin store for a short time. Long story short there's a handgun attached to the register, a handgun in the desk behind it, and a 12 gauge in the big safe in the back that has the really expensive stuff in it. That is unless the owner has gotten more guns since my dad worked there.

Yeah the guy at the first store I went to was adament that it had to go both through, and to, a licensed FFL. Even after I told him it wasn't any kind of purchase or sale, or that it was in state, or that the key word in FFL was federal, so that it didn't apply being kept within the state. My plan is to print off the UPS website page that says I can do it before I go to the hub so I can show it to them if they try to tell me they can't legally do it and the trip isn't a waste.

A church my friend and parents attend here in Nashville had voting booths set up one election, I believe it was the Bush v Kerry race. The minister recieved several threatening phone calls that day going on and on about seperation of church and state even though nobody was doing anything wrong. Needless to say the unarmed minister had gotten somewhat nervous. My friend, who did the lawn work for the church was dropping off his bill, accidently snuck up on the minister, and the minister punched him in the face before he realized who it was.

Just stopped by a UPS store today, said I needed to ship an unloaded hangun within the state. The first store I talked was certain that it had to go through an FFL. The second store said it was fine as long as I took it to the UPS hub for shipping. I'm gonna check out their website, and the Fedex website, and go with whichever one is friendlier to the process.

Found this snakeskin by my front door ... any ideas what kind?
Ebow1 replied to jeffmem's topic in General Chat
That's incredibly aggressive from what I've heard of most snakes' behavior. -
Oh yeah, and shoulder holsters are a lot more expensive. If I was gonna CC, it'd be a cross draw shoulder holster.

Yeah, I've heard cotton mouths are just downright mean, to the point where it's almost like they want to bite you. -
I open carry, just not much because I'm always either at work or a bar. I know about the new law and everything but me, if I'm goin' to a bar I'm gonna be drinkin'. As far as the element of surprise argument I don't feel it's all that valid. The argument you always hear is about being in a gas station and some guy robs it and shoots you first because he can see that you have a gun. Given that most gas stations robberies do not involve a large amount of planning, and that multiple gas stations are usually located in clusters around interstate exits or high traffic areas I can't see that situation playing out that way. If someone is gonna rob a gas station and sees a guy with a gun, I think the odds are that he'll decide he's gonna walk across the street and rob the other gas station.

I think that buy now button is getting tempting. Could you imagine how badly someone would crap their pants if they broke into your home to find that thing?

Yeah, most snakes really don't want to bite something in self defense I imagine due to the fact that they have limited amounts of venom. -
I've been thinking about getting a cheap little .22 for plinking purposes myself. All I've got now is a .45 and it'd be nice to pay less then 50 cents a round for FMJ. I've always thought the Beretta Neos looked cool, but I do feel having a gun that is difficult to disassemble and reassemble will make you appreciate it more.

If it was a young rattlesnake his rattle might not have been developed to the point of being capable of rattling at all. You were also very lucky to not get bit if it was a young one. Older poisonous snakes will hold back some of their venom when the snake bites, in case they need it again before they've refilled. The younger ones use every drop in one bite. -
Could she? Should she?

Good news even though this thread has been long dead. I found a gunsmith who is willing and able to acquire a set of Hogue wood grips for my Para, and also transfer the inlay from the grips that don't fit to the ones that do.

Ok, correction. Tennessee earned the nickname of the volunteer state during the war of 1812 and most notably in the Battle of New Orleans.
-
If they want to descend upon Arizona for a day of action, I say Tennessee lives up to the nickname it earned from The Alamo.

People should not apologize for quoting Nietzsche. The man was a genius.
