  1. I'd be more then happy to be observed breathing for the paltry sum of half.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if the insects snuck on when nobody was looking.
  3. They might as well just hand the state over to Black Bart and his gang!
  4. It took Bloomberg less then a day to politicize the Aurora shooting, and that wasn't even in his state or close to it. He's gonna go ballistic with this.
  5. Do we HAVE to keep doing what the people want? The people are morons!
  6. A few things here. Things probably would have gone better for him had he politely informed the officer that his actions were completely legal, instead of simply saying no. Also, it's just an Arby's if things start getting heated just leave and go somewhere else for lunch.
  7. It's just like with predatory animals. I've heard with sharks actually making eye contact with them can discourage them from thinking of you as prey. Predators want to think they're getting the drop on their prey. They want an easy meal, without a fight. Situational awareness, and the proper body language to communicate that, can convince a predator that you're not worth the trouble.
  8. TMF- An old Navy Captain told me that Cold War propaganda actually did circulate rumors of Commie plots to fluoridate our water supply, and that the reference in Strangelove is actually making fun of that.
  9. ^That little guy? I wouldn't worry about that little guy.
  10. I bug my buddy constantly to hang out at his apartment. I don't think he's figured out yet that it's more to play with his 2 huskies then it is to hang out with him.
  11. Yeah, I'm just surprised nobody used the specific Godfather quote.
  12. I can't believe nobody has said this yet "A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man"
  13. Well the good news is I don't need to be using any adhesives. I've found Spanish Cedar boards in varying sizes on ebay pretty cheap. Cutting and fitting those should be a lot easier than trying to glue together paper thin strips. Also, I can't use just any old cedar, it HAS to be Spanish Cedar, which I've found out technically isn't a cedar at all but actually a mahagony. It's also not Spanish so I have no freaking clue how it ended up with the name it has now.
  14. I don't have thick cuts like that. I've just got paper thin strips like the ones they sometimes wrap cigars in.
  15. I have a new project I need help with. Basically, ammo can humidors. I've got handful of cedar strips, I just need some way to adhere them to each other and the inside of the ammo cans that will hold up to 70 degrees at 70% humidity. I know they use vegetable gum to hold together the wrapper leaves on cigars. Does anybody have an idea where I can get a decent amount of natural adhesives that can withstand these conditions? Also, if this works out, I do plan on selling them, so if anybody thinks it's neat lemme know.
  16. Here's my most recent. It has to do with the Black Company book series if anybody is familiar with it. I'm not 100% happy with it as you can see where the background goes from solid black to being greyish. It seemed like the artist either got lazy or decided it was taking too long. Suffice it to say that parlor and artist won't be getting anymore of my business. This one was my first. Done by the aforementioned parlor and artist years ago. The words say "Your time will come" Sorry the pictures are crap, but my phone aint that smart. I've got another on my back, but I couldn't exactly get a decent picture of that one.
  17. They're trying to make themselves look like a man of the people. An everyday working man that kind of thing. Not like the millionaires and harvard graduates that they are.
  18. It was still helpful. I didn't realize TN had black racers.
  19. Oh and speaking of culture tattoos that only make the culture laugh at you, there's actually a website badhebrewtattoo.com. That showcases tattoos in hebrew, or of a jewish nature that made some horrendous mistake. The most common one was people getting hebrew writing tattooed reading from left to right, instead of right to left.
  20. I never understood the point of tribal tattoos unless one belonged to a tribe. I've heard stories of people discovering American Indian heritage, acquiring tattoos specific to their tribal heritage, only to discover they didn't do their homework well enough and only the women of those tribes have tattoos. What's also funny is those celtic armbands that a lot of people have been so fond of were originally used by the celts to mark slaves.
  21. Thanks, but I was really just curious about the one he saw cause he said it was perty. Also, for those of you with wives terrified of snakes, I would reccomend informing them about kingsnakes. They're territorial, non-venomous, and they kill other snakes. Throw one in your backyard, it will take care of bothe venomous snakes and small furry vermin, and it'll stay in the area. If yall can convince the various wives that these guys aint the bad guys it is an excellent solution to give them a little piece of mind.
  22. Nashville State Community College has a defensive firearms course as part of their Police Science program. I know it sounds a little ridiculous but the teachers are current and former officers, good teachers, and incredible shots. Also, I believe NSCC does let people sign up for individual classes without getting involved in an entire degree program. If they do, I'm also pretty sure that their semester long class prices are a good bit cheaper then the weekend of instruction that a lot of places offer. The only issue I can think of is that this would involve a group of people a lot of whom have never fired a weapon before, but the instructors are EXTREMELY strict about gun safety and don't even get to the range until the second or third class day. I know one of em almost punched a student in the face (out of reflex) who muzzled him.
  23. Could you describe the pattern in more detail? The only chicken and rat snakes I've ever come across are just the solid black.
  24. I saw a 6 pointer in my backyard just a couple days ago still had some velvet too. Haven't seen a buck in the backyard like that in over ten years. He lost interest as soon as he found the end of the treeline, I'll bet he's makin his home a good bit deeper in those woods, probly close to the Cheatham county line. Also, I've been seein foxes in places I don't usually see them.
