  1. I will be volunteering for the night shift of the event and I'll be at the Stones Brewing Company tent, any TGO people planning on being there?
  2. As far as enforcing online transactions go, most people don't spend enough money online for the IRS to care. Let's say I find a good deal on cigarsinternational.com. I get enough cigars to last me for a year for about $200 over the course of multiple transactions. It would cost the IRS more money to track me down and force me to pay the necessary taxes on the $200, and yes, they do already pay attention to UPS records to track those kinds of things, but like I said, most people just don't spend enough online.
  3. Which also means more businesses closing their doors.
  4. Great. Now I don't get to drink tonight because I've lost too many braincells reading Strel's posts, and I need to preserve the ones I have left.

    GSG 1911 .22lr

Please tell me that it is a metal barrel bushing wrench. My Para came with a plastic one and I can't stand it.
  6. What about putting a gun on layaway an making multiple payments? Assuming the gun is $600+, would it still count since you're making multiple payments? What if you use multiple cards for payment?
  7. Where's that ugliest gun thread now that we've got a clear winner?
  8. I got a buddy who has 2 labs that are excellent guard dogs. They would never attack a person, but they make a massive amount of noise and get really excited the instant a doorknob turns and jump up on whoever's coming in.
  9. This thread makes me think about octopi.
  10. When you say yodel, do you mean like the scene in Beerfest, cause I'd pay money to see a dog that could do that.

    Short List

Need to Add GSG 1911 .22 lr Taurus PT1911 .38 super Some model of .357 revolver with 7 round capacity M1A Full Auto Mac 10 or 11 AK47 A good lever action rifle, probably in .44 magnum Norinco's lever action 12 gauge Have Para Ordnance LDA P14 Remington 870 That's it for now. It has a tendency to grow every time I go to a gun store.
  12. No posting in Bellevue at the branch off Old Hickory near where it hits HWY 70 S.
  13. Yeah, that's true.
  14. What makes the belts more work then the holsters? I'm asking because I would've thought it was the other way around what with the belt essentially being a strip of leather with a bit of metal attached to one end and some holes poked in it.
  15. Looks like I might start off by buying holsters and just doing the leatherwork for the belts to set up a rig.
  16. I've never had a dog but I do like them, and I like the idea of a Basinji (I think that's how you spell it). They never bark. When they want out, they go stand by the door, when they want food, they go stand by their dish.
  17. "I knew a guy in the navy who swore up and down the zombies would rise. His plan was to own a cemetery and plant a small amount of explosives into the head of every "resident" with the master trigger in his office. That way when they started coming he could take them all at once. Lmfao!!!" EPIC!
  18. Well first off, OUCH on the $1500. Looks like I'll be doin' it by hand for awhile. Thanks for all the comments, I've got a decent amount time off work this week so I might actually have a window to check this stuff out, although I did pick up a Nietzsche book I haven't read and some Thomas Payne writings I'm looking forward to getting into so I might not.
  19. I'll be going to my Regions tomorrow to make a deposit. I like the people there, and hopefully they will not be posted.
  20. Oh yeah, a well trained dog no problem, but I deliver pizza for a living (hopefully not for much longer). I've seen the way 90% of dogs behave when they smell food. It doesn't matter the size they just about all jump on me (to be fair, I start pettin' 'em and playin' with 'em as soon as the owner isn't lookin'). I did recently deliver to a house somewhere in the Belle Meade that had a black german sheperd that come around the corner pissed as soon as I pulled in the driveway. Apparently they were surprised it didn't bite me yet had made no attempt to restrain the dog, or put it inside somewhere devoid of the potential to attack the pizza man.
  21. I would imagine most dogs would do everything they could to get that pack off their back to get to the food inside it.
  22. Didn't bother to look for a similar thread, but I'm getting curious about getting into my own leatherworking for making holsters and carry rigs and the like for myself. I've bookmarked a couple of websites with articles online and books for sale on the subjects, but I was just wondering if anybody here has any experience with this sort of thing and just what to expect in general with this kind of stuff.
  23. As far as the bet goes, I was drunk, and it had to do with a particular episode of South Park. As far as the tattoo goes, it's profanity, and it had to be on my backside.
  24. I thought the whole "Don't tread on me" rattlesnake flag had its origins out of Texas.
  25. I love my Para LDA. I have plans to round out my 1911 collection by picking up a Taurus PT1911 in .38 super, and that GSG 1911 in .22 lr. Oh, and I've got your Punisher grips beat, my Para is in Knoxville right now getting a pair of grips customized to fit it. They're hardwood grips with mother of pearl inlay of the Decepticon logo. The instant I get that handgun back it's name is Megatron.
