  1. "Repeatedly invoking the nation's founders and examples of religious tolerance from American history, the president argued that national ideals and the Constitution demanded that the project proceed" So all of sudden Obama cares about the Constitution now?
  2. I'm goin' with Guns and Leather for my upcoming first internet firearm purchase. I just like their hours more then anything else. It's nice to know that if I have to work a day shift I'll still be able to stop by and pick it up.
  3. The gorilla society is set up in harems. The male will consort with a large amount of females to produce as many of his own offspring as he can. If a male is in the position of taking over a current harem he will drive out and sometimes kill the current male. If the current male had any offspring the new male will then kill them, to both eliminate the offspring of another gorilla and so he can produce his offspring. It is not uncommon for male gorillas to kill their own father and take over the harem they were raised in, after he had protected them for years. I'd say that's pretty bad.
  4. I would definately be in on a group order for the shirts.

    Name it?

I'm gonna be talking to an FFL today about ordering that M1895 somebody posted a thread about. I'll be really tempted to name it Ivan the Terrible.

    Name it?

Y'all beat me to the Vera comment. I have plans to someday get a Rec7 in 6.8 and I had plans to name it Vera. My P14 has a set of woodgrips with the decepticon logo so he is of course, Megatron. Instead of naming it Vera I've decided to name it "Flagellum Dei". It is Latin for "The Scourge of God". It was the name the Romans gave to Attila the Hun, a man I have recently discovered I draw lineage from.

    Barrett Tours

Got this from their website. Does the Barrett factory offer tours? Unfortunately, as proud as we are of the factory, we can’t give you a tour. First, we have OSHA rules. Second, being a defense contractor, we have DOD rules. We’re also trying to keep up with wartime production. If I were you I might contact them anyway and see if there's anything they could do for a former marine. I hope they can.
  8. Guess I need to find a new bank.
  9. Would anybody consider using one of these as a carry gun?
  10. Without the bombs an invasion of either country would've been a bloodbath on both sides. We all knew then and know now that every Japanese would fight till their last breath, and Admiral Yamamoto said about us that "There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass".

    1911 mag capacity

As far as the .38 super goes, I'll save myself a few hundred and go with this guy. Taurus 119110938PSG1 M1911 38SUP RL GLDSS $504.00 SHIPS FREE

    1911 mag capacity

I've got the P14. If you can't get the job done with 14 rounds of .45 then you've got bigger issues then a tricky mag.
  13. A couple days ago the Regions located off of HWY 70 S right in front of the old Bellevue mall was robbed. I go to the one off Old Hickory just near the 70 intersection.
  14. Be voting in a bit.
  15. Speeding violation not too long ago. Officer had time to run my plates and find out I had an HCP while we were getting to where he wanted me to pull over. Very first question was if I had a weapon on me or in the vehicle.
  16. I've only ever handled the Hi-Point pistols and my only real problem with those is the bulkiness. As a buddy of mine puts it, "when you run out of ammo you still throw it at 'em and do just as much damage".
  17. Reading some of Thomas Paine's works in my spare time (which isn't much). I gotta say I really like what I'm reading. I like all the Darwin Award books, there's also Final Exits: The Illustrated Encyclopedia of How we Die, and Jon Hodgman's Areas of My Expertise (on The Daily Show being interviewed about the book, he was so funny they gave him a job), those are my funny books I may have others I've forgotten about. I also have a bit of philosophical and intelligent books including The Prince, The Art of War, some of Nietzsche's work, and yes, The Communist Manifesto. It provides an interesting perspective of capitalism from the other side.
  18. A 17 year old girl did that to a blockbuster in Baton Rouge. She hit the gas instead of the brake, freaked out when she realized she was going forward, and slammed her foot down, without realizing that it was still on the gas and once again, not the brake.
  19. As far as the Target issue goes, if the employees did not make it clear when they were being interviewed that they would not handle packages of pork products, then they should be fired for a breach of contract. While at LSU I had a Jewish friend who worked in a deli and made it clear to them that he would not work on the make line because it contained pork products. They were willing to work around this and gave him a job at a cash register. The point is he was up front about it. He didn't get the job and then demand that they abide by religious beliefs that he didn't bring up until after he had the job, he made his beliefs known, and they accomodated as such.
  20. Sounds like IT'S A TRAP!
  21. Also the next man up is the one pulling the strings of the jerk calling for me to be fired.
  22. It is a franchise owned store. The only problem is I have yet to come across someone in authority that is of sound mind with this place. And yes, hard workin fast deliverin non stoner drivers are certainly hard to come by, which bugs the hel out of me that I don't see anybody busting the rear ends of the stoners we've got driving for that store. I know the delivery area better then any other employee at that store. So much so that I've gotten a call from the store (where they have a map) to ask me where a certain address was and I didn't even have to think to tell them.
  23. That's good to hear.
  24. When I first started with Domino's I discovered a very high percentage of the employees were gun owners and permit holders. So naturally we'd talk about guns here and there, what we had, what we wanted, but that was about it. Most of the others have since left the store one way or another, but there are still those who ask me questions about guns simply because they're curious. They are innocent questions to which I give innocent, informative answers. That is all.
