  1. For reasons I can never comprehend I got dragged along to every one of my older brothers' DMV trips. He failed the written portion of that test time and time again and it annoyed the hel outta me because I knew I had to go up there again the next time he'd try. He finally passes and we find out that this time we need to get his birth certificate fixed. It says he's a woman. Now all those trips were worth it. I have never let him live it down and every time our mom tries to get me to stop making fun of him about it, I point out that I shouldn't've been there anyway and wouldn't've found out if I hadn't been.
  2. It took just under a year's worth of Domino's garbage to set me off. One isolated incident wouldn't have done it. I've dealt with an officer on an ego trip before and PLENTY of situations with furious people while I worked for Blockbuster. I can handle seperate incidents. I just seem to need to work on putting up with continued drawn out incidents and not letting things build up.
  3. I didn't mess up my username, but I thought of one that I like better, any chance I can get mine changed?
  4. I've still got my stapler. I'm fine for now. (different characters but I wanted to run with the joke)
  5. I'm starting to feel like that guy in Office Space. "Look! I deal with the *******ed customers so the engineers don't have to. I HAVE PEOPLE SKILLS D*MMIT! I'M GOOD WITH PEOPLE! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT?"
  6. @Dane, I do admit that I am stubborn, thick headed, and rarely refuse to admit I'm wrong to anybody but you make it sound like I personally attacked you about how I know more at my younger age then you do. I realize I may well have given that impression but I assure you that I had no intent to, just that I know more then these Domino's morons;).
  7. Jamie, you're definately right about everything building up with me. I find myself more easily offended, and less patient with each day. In retrospect I was out of line to question the comment about the Christian thing to do, and to jump at an accusation about an insinuation of faith. No, I should not have thrown anything, but I still have difficulty accepting that I need to just sit back and disregard the disrespect I recieved from that company and will undoubtedly receive from the majority of jobs I have in the future. On this I think I'm going to have to fundamentally disagree with the group commenting on here. I asked for other opinions and I got them, and was wrong to lash out at those who gave them. I also think Garufa is absolutely right about me needing to start my own business, whatever it may be. I have a history of not getting along with the corporate branches of my previous jobs. I also have a history of getting along very well with most of my storefront employees and customers, I would like to point that much out. I think between myself and the operating principles of most corporations there is a difference of opinion on a fundamental level. As far as what I was trying to say about having an attitude in my personal life because of how I behave at work, I was merely trying to say that were I to have such an attitude at work it would get me fired (I've proven that) and as a result it bottles up and once I am off the clock the attitude is that much worse. That is my belief about it and I'm not really sure how that is a cop out, but merely an explanation. I can say that when I was younger people told me all the time that they were amazed by my patience, and I used to wish that I would get angry more often, as there were plenty of situations in which I felt I should've been angry but it just wasn't there, and well, I got what I wanted.
  8. Yes yes yes, because I don't like inaccurate insinuations about my faith I must have horrible people skills. I have done no screaming or shouting about this matter, simply asking questions. As to the reply about christianity being a better path then others, that's the reply I was hoping for. According to your own scriptures it in fact is. There's nothing wrong with believing that, I was simply seeing if anybody would actually come out and say it. I have worked many jobs dealing with the people and have always been great with customers. I've recieved numerous such compliments as "you are the most accomodating employee here" and "oh good it's you, you're the only still here who's any decent". Both of those were at the Blockbuster I worked at in Baton Rouge. If I have an attitude in my personal life (which I readily admit I do) it's because I know better then to show it to customers, because right or wrong it gets you fired. As far as problems with authority I will readily admit when I was younger I did have some small problems with school authorities. I have been stopped and ticketed plenty of times and never had any problems with the ticketing officers. In fact the last time it happened the officer was really nice about it and it was as close to a pleasent experience as getting a ticket could be. I'm never angry with officers if I've been pulled over for a traffic violation because after all, I was violating a traffic law, I have no right to argue about being reprimanded for it. As I'm sure many people here think, I have some serious anger issues but I disagree. I think a majority of people these days are just disrespectful and it's something I'm getting sick of putting up with. I'm not talking about anybody on this board personally, this is just my general opinion about most people these days. To those of you who had kind words, thank you.
  9. And why would it be a benefit to assume that I am christian? Is it inherently better then any other religion or path or life that is out there?
  10. Who said I was Christian?
  11. By October the only days I'll have open are Sundays and Mondays, and those days are still maybes. I realize that these days are a no go for most due to the typical work schedule and I'm not expecting the schedule to be bent solely for my convenience, just saying.
  12. If my schedule allows it, it sounds great to me.

    My new toy.....

I'll let you know when the work is done on my gun. I wouldn't feel right shooting someone else's without letting them shoot mine.

The DE .44 mag is on my must have list.
  15. Technically nothing was destroyed or damaged.
  16. I do realize that throwing company property does nothing to help me. I really had just lost it at that point. I didn't set up the meeting to try and get my job back. I'm done with them. I'm trying to get it through to his superior just how bad of a manager the man who fired me is, and hopefully get him fired as well.
  17. @Daniel, I'm just curious about other peoples' opinions on the issue.
  18. I just want to get them to admit that they think they can treat their hourly employees like dirt. It's so clear that that is the attitude of every corporate employee with this company.
  19. I'm not so much worried as I am pissed off. It's becoming the standard more and more in this country that if someone gets paid by the hour then they can be treated like dirt and they're nothing other then easily replaceable. With the economy the way it is more and more companies are dangling a man's own job above his face and making him jump and fetch to keep it because they know that everybody is desperate these days. As I'm sure people will ask here is the entire issue: I have a bumper sticker on my truck that says "Fizzy yellow beer is for wussies". It's a bumper sticker for Arrogant Bastard Ale. After leaving the store the manager in question sends a text message to the manager on duty that I can't have it. I tell her I'm going to need to see the policy. I talk to the manager who says I can't have it and tell him I need to see the policy he continually cuts me off and tells me I can't have it and that it's against policy and that "no employee can have a bumper sticker that advertises alcohol". He never does produce anything in writing that shows me this policy. I get off the phone, that's when I throw ****. I'm not going to take off the bumper sticker unless I see the policy but if I see it I'll gladly remove it, and I had told him this. The manager on duty tells me he says I can't drive as long as I have the sticker, I said fine then my shift is over. I'm told my shift is over and that I can't come in Sunday (today). I came back today to talk to the store manager. He tells me I've been fired per the write up I recieved from the manager in question and that he hasn't seen it and has no idea what it says and to ask the district manager about it. He tells me I've also recieved a write up for today for a no call/no show for my shift (even after being told I couldn't work). I call the district manager, and she says the write up was for refusing to remove an insulting bumper sticker (not the reason he told me I had to remove it). I explain my side of the story and she says the policy is that a manager told me to do it so I should've done it without question (apparently I'm supposed to "just follow orders"). Myself, the manager who fired me, and the district manager will be having a meeting in the near future to discuss the matter.
  20. Driver.
  21. When I first started with Domino's a manager who is no longer there asked me if I liked guns, I said yes, and found out that most of the people who worked there owned and carried. The current store manager who is now higher up has asked me about my guns just about everytime he has seen me since then. This last time we talked about my guns he asked me "Have you killed anybody yet?". I didn't take too kindly to it but I let that slide. Then he continually cut me off over an issue about a bumper sticker and that's when I lost it.
  22. Well it finally happened. I can put up with continual disrespect from customers but not from coworkers. After all my complaining on here about Domino's a member of the management staff cut me off every time I tried to talk and I finally just lost it and threw some company property around the store. So it's done. I'm still meeting with him and his superior about the issue. Hopefully I can shed some light his disrespectful behavior and point out the fact that he insinuated I have homicidal tendencies simply because I own firearms.
  23. I don't care what food you attach this name to as long as it's unhealthy as all get out: "The Bad Mamma Artery Jamma". I've just got to get this name on a menu somewhere and I have no desire to have my own restaurant. If you like it, I hope you'll use it.
  24. I've got an idea. Let them build their mosque, let them get comfortable in it. Buy the land right beside it and build a Corky's BBQ. The radical Islamics are using our own constitution against us. They are setting themselves up in positions of power and every single mosque in this country amplifies that. They will say over and over that Islam is a religion of peace as they have in the past... and it will be, until they have superior numbers. As soon as they believe they are capable they will force Shariah law upon as many as they can. It is the history of Islam and of the countries they currently rule over.
