  1. It's pictures like this that make me glad my parents made me do things for them, including putting gas in the car. I can easily say that a 7 year old me was a more functioning member of society then her.
  2. Talk about a Darwin Award waiting to happen.

    Damn, I feel old!

Huge Maiden fan, but I've never gotten to see them in concert. Their lyrics tell a story, and actually have some kind of meaning to them, unlike 99% of today's music.
  4. He didn't throw anything, but he went back to talk to the store manager late last night and might've thrown something then. I found that the store manager was in fact telling corporate to fire me, while telling me corporate wants me fired and he has no idea why. That garbage is just icing on the cake at this point.
  5. Another driver from my store quit today. He had been due a raise for a month and corporate still hadn't put it through. The store manager told him "I wouldn't blame you if any of you left now", his response was "okay, here's my shirt, see ya". So ya, I can at least say it's not just me.
  6. Is there any way to contact this man and thank him?
  7. This thread isn't what I thought it is at all. I was about to point out that it doesn't matter how small the woman is trying to cram her into a holster just doesn't have a good ending.
  8. I USE PUBLIC TOILETS AND PISS ON THE SEATS! I WALK AROUND IN THE SUMMERTIME SAYIN' HOW BOUT THIS HEAT!
  9. I'm not gonna be able to work that out.
  10. Completely off topic, since this thread contains many anyway, anybody seen a trailer for this movie "Red" with Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis? I got a buddy in New Orleans who told me he's an extra in it. Not realizing that the movie was not about Soviet Russia I called him a commie bastard as a joke as soon as I heard the title. Turns out he's playing a Russian soldier. I thought it was neat, and if he gets killed by Bruce Willis he'll have a heck of a pickup line.
  11. Beat me to it, Jamie.
  12. Murphy I thought you were gonna say it was one of those realistic dolls that kids sometimes get stuck with as school assignments.
  13. I'm starting to think I should try and become an MLB pitcher. What are they gonna do, fire me for throwing stuff? It's my job!
  14. I've always avoided MMA from what I've seen of it, but I had heard good things about Krav Maga, oh well.
  15. It's downtown, so I'n far enough away where I'm at, but thanks for the advice on avoiding that one. I'll be looking at the Dragon Claw one and the Cooper one. Cooper if I have the money, and if not, Dragon Claw had a review saying it was cheap.
  16. Now don't go ninjy choppin' nobody that don't need to be ninjy chopped.
  17. Ok lemme try that again. Here's a website for the Krav Maga institute. Nashville : Mid-South Krav Maga
  18. Here's a website for the Krav-Maga institute. Instructor is Chris Hollingsworth.
  19. I think I knew somebody in high school who learned from him. I know he lived in that area at the time, and anytime he would try and use martial arts techniques (usually a kick to the face) just about everybody was able to grab him by the ankle and just hold his leg up there with him hopping around.
  20. Didn't look at the price, but that's obviously gonna be a factor.
  21. Cooper is the only one I could get a name from online, run by Steve Cooper. When I hear the name David Deaton it's faintly ringing some bells.
  22. I know he knows other styles, he's talked about when he used to do Kung-Fu, but he doesn't have his own school, just the classes at the Y, and Tai Chi twice a week isn't enough to get me to keep the membership longer then I had planned.
  23. Ok, here's what I've got on martial art schools in Nashville. Shaolin Concepts (615) 228-1800 3117 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216 Cooper Karate and Jujutsu Center :: , Martial Arts, Nashville, TN, Zanshin Ryu Dragon Claw Martial Arts (615) 414-1737 1113 Cabana Dr, Nashville, TN 37214 All the rest were MMA places, or just didn't look that legitimate or serious. If anybody knows anything about the schools I listed it would be appreciated.
  24. I like him. Most of the people at my level (low) don't ever use the proper form and then he'll have us do striking drills for half an hour squatting about a foot above the ground and they wonder why they can't strike as fast as me or endure as long at that position.
  25. I know. That's how I found the Krav Maga school. I'm just sayin' that what's available to me is gonna be a pretty deciding factor.
