I've known about them. I know the one dedicated to the 20th infantry is out in Franklin. I'm wondering if I can sign up with them or if I just get stuck with whatever regiment is in my neck of the woods.

Also I didn't throw any pizza boxes. It was a car topper. Y'know those light up things on the tops of the cars.

I can see it now, Alexander Randolph Winn who fought and died bravely for the Confederacy (some generations later) A pizza delivery man known on the internet as Ebow1, who fought (with his manager) and got fired bravely over a bumper sticker.

Of course I'm going to be rich and famous one day. I keep having all these great ideas for what to do when I have money. Logically I will eventually have all this money I keep thinking of stuff to do with.

I thought I'd post this here, as I have a feeling most of yall will appreciate this kind of thing. I've known for a long time that was descended from Confederate veterans. Well my mom went over to the library in Williamson county today and found out some specifics. We're descended from Alexander Randolph Winn. He was a professor who served in the 20th Tennessee infantry regiment B company. He survived the battles of Chickamauga and Shiloh and was killed in the Battle of Peachtree against Sherman's forces in 1864. He was originally the orderly sargent for his company, but was elected to adjutant in 1861 and made quartermaster later that same year.
  9. Now I know why I was born the next day! And, y'know, 76 years later.
  10. I love the 7 buck 7 slug potential, and I can't wait till that sucker hits shelves. It has increased capacity AND made the standard antizombie/home defense 12 gauge smaller, lighter, and most importantly in case of zombies, more mobile.
  11. My shotgun is an old police trade-in 870. It's definately not equipped for hunting but getting one that is isn't too much of an expense. As far as a mentor goes, I may need to talk to a buddy of mine out in Maury county. He doesn't hunt but he works for the Sheriff's department and I'm sure one of those fellas does. I'm thinking I need to see if they wouldn't mind showin' me the ropes.
  12. You lying, weak, and thieving politician as if that's not the norm for them.
  13. I'm reading that .30 carbine is legal for deer and boar, and for some of the smaller critters. Beaver, bobcat, coyote, and fox were some of the ones listed. I don't think I could ever hunt foxes though. I've always liked them for some reason.
  14. I certainly wouldn't be hunting just to kill. I've already decided that I'm not going to hunt anything I wouldn't eat, and I won't be taking any trophies. I just assumed a .30 carbine would be better for small game cause it seemed to me to be a smaller round. Sounds like it might be a more hog/whitetail deer round from what yall are tellin' me. The only thing stopping me from getting into hunting sooner have been not living near a hunting area, not knowing anyone who hunts, and the expenses. Now that I've got a variety of firearms, some of the expenses are going out the window and I'm getting really tempted to start hunting. Either way, I'm really liking this m1 carbine I got my eye on, so I'm more then likely gonna get it. I just wanted to know what kinda stuff it would be good to hunt with since it'll be my first rifle. Everything I have now is handguns and a 12 gauge. I figure if I'm gonna get a rifle, I should at least use it for some kind of hunting.
  15. Every day that I do not have to be at work I will call them about this as a registered voter.
  16. As I get more and more firearms, I think more and more about getting into hunting. I figure I've already got the guns for it. I'm wondering if a scoped m1 carbine would be a good hunting rifle. I'm thinking it would be good for smaller critters, squirrels and rabbits and such. I've already got a Blackhawk in .30 carbine so I'm really tempted to get an M1 carbine to go with it.
  17. That is a beautiful holster. Maybe get some Ruger medallions to attach to it to really make it look good.
  18. I'm not really surprised with that place.
  19. Dunn-I've worked for bosses like that and I can't stand it. The way I see it is this: If you're going to fire me, fire me. Don't sit there and threaten me all day about it.

    I have a job

Update-Applebee's drove me nuts. I found another job and left Applebee's with notice. Now I'm delivering at the Pizza Hut off Charlotte. Considering the tipping habits of their customers (or lack thereof) I still need to find something else.
  21. It was $320, and that's the one I bought. I went up there to poke around the .44 magnum market and had to buy it when I saw the price. Dolomite-Don't hold your breath.
  22. Oh it's loud alright. I loved it. I went to the Hendersonville GnL with it, heard all these little pops from the other people on the range and thought "it's so quiet down here, let's change that".
  23. It's gray.
  24. I'm a freaking moron. Here I've been destroying my fingers shoving the rod from my gun cleaning kit in there trying to get it out. I really can't believe I didn't think of that. Oh well, let's switch to something less stupid. Has anyone else had this problem? I bought 250 rounds of Wolf .30 cal carbine reading plenty of reviews stating how well they worked out in the Blackhawk. I'm thinking it's just the ammo but based on the positive reviews I'm thinking maybe it's not. Anybody have any experience with this?
