  1. Considering the situation, the amount of people that were both there and believed to be there, I have to assume they armed themselves with assualt rifles rigged for CQB situations, since that's exactly what it is. Based on the fact that they only killed something like 3 or 4 people, there's no way they ran out of ammo necessitating a switch to a sidearm. I seriously doubt it was done with a handgun.
  2. Best thing to do is forget about it. That way you're surprised when you open the mailbox and there's your permit. I can honestly say I have no idea exactly how long my wait was, but I do remember it seeming shorter then I expected.

I'll say this much about the beavertail. The one on my Metro Arms gave me a small scar on my hand from where it would dig in after each shot due to where I was gripping it. I used to tell people it "bites back". The Ruger doesn't.
  4. I can't wait to see what this thing looks like.

Damn. I didn't win anything. I wonder if they're color coded to tell who the winners are.

    Mine had an orange sticker.
  8. Mechanic-So even if I don't have a Glock I can come up there and shoot what I do have? If so, do yall have those tree targets with the 6 little targets on 'em that go from one side to the other so me and a buddy can see how much better of a shot I am then him? Also, I'll be the voluntarily bald guy.

On the frame under the barrel it says "Read owner's manual before using". That's all that's on it.

Is your mag release giving you any trouble? It seems I have to have mine at just the right angle to get the mags to fall.
  12. Hel if it comes down to birth certificates my brother's originally said he was a girl. I still don't let him live that down. And I'm sorry but I just don't like grits.
  13. Bit of language in this one.
  14. Here's another one I found. Terminator 2
  15. I'll be there to observe. I'm not a Glock owner, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to watcha few shooting competitions if I ever decide to get involved in them.
  16. If you've the gas mileage for it pizza delivery places are almost always hiring drivers. Just don't throw the car toppers around, they don't take that too well.

  18. You'll have to excuse me if I wasn't online much yesterbday. Between finishing my finals, getting my new gun, and discovering Bin Laden had his grey matter replaced by a bit of Navy SEAL lead made yesterday a personal holiday for me. And yes, pics are coming.
  19. Yeah I picked it up. Put 50 rounds through it. It was absolutely beautiful. I was almost tempted not to put my custom grips on it. Almost. That being said I am keeping the Ruger grips and I'll put 'em on it on occassion. Trigger pull was practically non-existent, dis and reassmbles exactly how you'd expect a 1911 to. Springs seemed a little stiff but that's to be expected. Also it doesn't like my 10 round mag, but that's the only drawback I can find. It was certainly worth the trade and the money spent.
  20. I mean the marketing alone would easily justify the "Osama Killer" model.
  21. They would SKYROCKET.
  22. BUNCHA SLACK-JAWED ******S ON THIS PLANE! That's a great scene.
  23. I just wanna know what gun put him down?
  24. I do feel bad about doing all this right after the comments about staying on topic, but I couldn't pass up the Monty Python reference.
  25. I think it's time I finally bust out the last CAO Oddyssey that was ever sold in the SE that I've been waiting to smoke for years.
