  1. Words of wisdom. Don't wake up. I woke up 4 times during my operation. One of the things they do these days is fracture the wisdom teeth before extraction. Makes them easier to remove. You'd think it'd be some fancy medical whatnot. It's not. They put a pair of pliers in your mouth and clamp down on the wisdom teeth. I woke up just in time to hear and feel one pop. As far as lasting pain, I didn't have any problems. Ate normal, and all that, got tired of the stitches and got 'em out myself with a toothpick from Red Lobster about a week later.
  2. My problem with bicyclists is that they don't use their hand turn signals, they blow through red lights and stop signs, and they act like they constantly have right of way. Also, American roadways were not designed for people to be pedaling bicycles down them. American roads were designed for long distance travel in vehicles with engines. You wanna ride a bike, go to Europe where they actually still have small towns that you can ride a bike across in 15 minutes. Don't do it in a city like Nashville, in the middle of the road, turning onto whatever road you want without stopping at the sign, without signaling, and right into vehicular traffic that could and SHOULD splatter you into the highway. I swear if I become a metro cop I am issuing citations every time I see someone on a bicycle ignoring the rules.
  3. Think I'll try this next time I go shoot.
  4. I don't think it's fair to call them a cancer. From what I've seen of cancer it is much more intelligent and efficient then any liberal.
  5. TLR-Like OhShoot said, my problem was a burr in the extractor. Cheaper shells like Rio do make the problem happen more often but the source is the extractor. Specifically, it was leaving shells in the barrel, not even pulling spent shells back into the chamber, loading a new shell into the empty chamber but then unable to rack it due to the spent shell still in the barrel.
  6. I found a video online. Very simple process I found out. Remington 870 Extractor Replacement (How to Install non-MIM Extractor) | Rem870.com
  7. Too late. Just ordered it.
  8. Long story short, I need a new extractor for my 870 express magnum. I'm looking at one on midwayusa right now, a 12 gauge 870 "marine magnum" extractor. 2 questions, is this interchangeable with mine, and is the marine magnum a non MIM part?
  9. Thanks to this thread I'm thinking of getting into straight razor shaving. Saves money in the long run for one. Two, I've got a couple spots on my head that it doesn't seem to matter how many times I go over with a razor (cheapo disposables or the fancy 8 million blade ones) and no matter which angle I come from, won't seem to get completely smooth. My only concern is whether or not the world will be able to handle one man possessing the massive amount of awesome of both having a handlebar moustache AND shaving with a straight razor.
  10. What happened to pride in your work? Automation for one, my guess would be employers who treat their employees like crap. This is something I seem to be a magnet for. My current store manager seems to honestly believe that it is our job to do his. Take into account bad bosses, companies that always take the side of the complaining customer no matter how absurd/rude they are to the employee, corporations creating massive amounts of rules that serve no purpose other then interfering with your job, and it's not hard to see why people just stop caring. It's Office Space all over the country. People work just hard enough not to get fired.
  11. Oh, birdshot.
  12. I've fired a box of their 2 3/4 from an 870 express magnum without any trouble.
  13. "blessed off" isn't the term I would use to describe the actions of governmental agencies like the ATF.
  14. The hover hands!
  15. Zap you do realize you still spelled **** in your attempt to censor it right? S__Hit.

That or a reference to the cost of .300 winmag
  18. I've recently discovered that my great-grandfather served in this group during WWII. I've looked up information online and haven't found much other then a barely informative wikipedia page and a bunch of websites who cut and paste the same info. I know a lot of people here are war history buffs and I was hoping someone here might have some detailed info on their operations during the war, commanding officers and such, and if they did anything particularly inpressive. And yes, I said great-grandfather. I'm not THAT young but apparently both my grandfather and his father in law served in the war.
  19. Certainly something I'll look into.
  20. Arma, if there's a green guy at my door, it's getting shot before it even comes in.
  21. That, and IF I WANNA EAT A HAMBURGER WITH NACHO CHEESE POURING DOWN IT... you get the point
  22. Buddy at work had a very good way of putting things. Re-electing Obama would be the equivalent of giving Jack the Ripper they key to a whorehouse.
