No thank you. Go play in your sandbox, liberal academia.
Ebow1 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
"If left and right ideologies comprise a mutually dependent yin-yang system, reflecting different approaches to meeting our most basic needs, shouldn’t they be held by roughly the same proportion of people?" That was the first flawed assumption of the article. -
Gail Kerr: Guns-at-work proposal is a disaster in waiting
Ebow1 replied to daddyo's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If it comes down to a property rights issue, I think the logical think would be to argue whether or not a corporation that doesn't spend a day outside of its specific office, really has the right to determine whether or not the people who are in the restaurants and the smaller offices are vulnerable or protected. I mean, when I think of property rights I think of a man in his home, and the rights he has as such. Despite having ownership, I think it's hard to say that a faceless CEO in another state has the right to disarm the people who work at the business day in and day out. The company may own the building, but as far as rights are concerned the local employees should be in charge, at least to some degree. Suffice it to say that entry level employees certainly don't have the right to "secede" from the corporation, but we are talking about two rights that are equally valid as constitutional guaranteed. Many will argue simply as to which one is more important but the constitution guarantees both property rights and the right to bear arms to certain degrees. I say the fact that most of the property owners never even set foot in said property, force the property rights to give way to the 2nd amendment rights of the employees who do. -
During the flooding in Nashville a lot of people showed how good they were. But the difference between short term property damage and the end of civilization can make a lot of that disappear. A full on end of civilization I don't see coming. China, North Korea, or some other opportunistic enemy (or maybe even ally) will make a grab at the power now left vacant.

What I've started worrying about recently with zombie virus type stuff is mosquitos.

Obama Executive Order: Peacetime Martial Law!

Sounds like he's formed Order 66. -
I have yet to have a rifle named Vera, but I'm working on that. I seem to like to name my weapons after literary characters. I doubt if anybody here is familiar with the Black Company book series, but I've named my Ruger 1911 Croaker, from those books. Plus, it croaks people if you know what I mean. I've also named my Ruger Scout rifle after a sword from Tolkien's works, Gurthang, meaning Iron of Death. I figured it was an appropriate name for a rifle, or a golf club.

People will undoubtedly lust after gold but simply because it is rare and shiny. The only useful purpose gold serves is the conduction of electricity, as it is excellent for this. These things being said gold is completely useless in a disaster situation, except to barter to any lucky morons who have managed to survive for items and materials that can actually serve a purpose. As for the other topic, vampires can only be killed by decapitation. The wooden stake was simply to keep them on the ground to make the job easier.

Okay. I'm in love with that .50 AE revolver. Between the two original choices I've heard that DEs are extremely ammo finicky.

I thought the rant was going to be about not having a rant specific forum. I'm still amazed at the way some of our customers treated us at the Blockbuster I worked at. It didn't help that Blockbuster seemed to making/changing policies with the specific goal of pissing of its customers, but you'd be amazed how many times people threatened over the phone to come up there and kick the ass of whichever one of us they were talking to.

"The tactical stay-puft marshmallow man". Hilarious. -
They should've called it the 3822.

Man claims he put his friend out of misery

Quite possibly the worst cover up story for a murder ever. -
I'll tell people I voted for Paul. It cracked me up to see Buddy Roemer on there. He was one of my regulars when I worked at a Blockbuster in Baton Rouge.

Anti-rape advocate. Are there pro-rape advocates? -
I was speaking to their primary roles. Thanks to the existence of Carbines and the Taurus company, just about any round can be fired out of any firearm classification these days.

To be fair the title of topic derailed the thread from the start.

I'm not asking for where a good price is. I need to know what a good price would be to buy them for. My dad found some and he will more then likely want me to try to sell them here if the price is right so I don't want to say what the price is he's being offered to buy them for is since I might be selling them here.

What's a good price for this stuff by the pound?

I had the same problem with some 3 inch shells. Particularly those Rio things made outta McEwen or whatever they're called. I had a bur on the extractor that simply need filing down. Is the empty making it back to the chamber and not ejecting, or is it getting stuck in the barrel?
-
High-Standard. That was it.
-
No. It was one of the cheaper brands. I'm trying to remember which one.

When it first happened I thought it was a firing pin problem myself, told my buddy the gun wasn't safe to fire, and we cut the range trip short. I'm with you guys. The next time I talk to my buddy I'll talk to him about tinkering with, or replacing his mainspring.

That's a shame. I was looking forward to watching "Liam Neeson: Wolf Puncher"
