  1. How much do your LPKS run and what brand are they? I need a couple more for a few unfinished lower projects?
  2. Thanks for the links to the parts. They sure aren't giving the stuff away are they? The gun had been for sale for at least 8 months that I know of priced at $439. I couldn't swing that much for it. Went in yesterday and it was marked $299. They said the owner was sick of looking at it so get rid of it. They said his cost on it was $349, so I didn't figure I could beat them down anymore. I did make them give me a box of cheapie #6 shells for it.
  3. Anybody wants a $50.00 badge let me know, local pawnshop has them for $17. I can sell them to you for $30 plus shipping. I get all my clothes from mallninja.com.
  4. I am more worried about getting whacked in the head from somebody I don't know. They already know I am coming to meet them with a chunk of change in my pocket or am bringing a gun to sell. Always feels a little weird to be checking out a gun for purchase in a gas station or Wally World parking lot also. I have decided taking a buddy with a gun also is the way to go. Anyone else have any precautions?
  5. Went to local pawnshop/gun pusher today and came home with a new Saiga 12 gauge. Been wanting one for a while. I have no idea why, but it's mine now. Walked out the door for $329.00 NIB and a box of shells thrown in. Now to get me one of them $450 wraithmaker drum mags! Anybody else have one that can give me a heads up on accesory sources etc?
  6. Just picked up a catalogue from ATI (ATIGUNSTOCKS.COM) and they show extensions for Remingtons. From pics it looks like they just screw on the end of stock tube. Minimum barrel length for 7 shot is 18.5 " and 20" for the eight shot. $23.50 is the MSRP. Hope this helps.

    Got a new Toy today.

If you have a pocket, you have a holster!
  8. There was one advertised for sale on LSN last night. It was used and in the $1500 range if my feeble mind is working right.

    FNP 40 Answers?

+ 1 on the XD. With a little hunting around, you can probably get one with all the toys for about the same price.
  10. While not being an engineer, I have owned both a Glock 22 and a Springfield XD. I have not done a great deal of online technical research. I have however shot both extensively. The Glock has been sold and I have no plans to replace it.
  11. Not real ones Rabbi, just copies!
  12. Baby Eagles come in .45 also. Just kill 2 rocks with one bird and get it to start with.
  13. I have an XD Service .45 & a Baby Eagle in 9mm. Both are fine guns. XD is polymer, Eagle is steel. You won't go wrong with either. You will probably get better resale value on XD though. See what feels best to you. Try to rent both if you can. Never seen a Baby Eagle for rent anywhere though. I prefer the Eagle because I am old and like metal frames better than plastic ones. Really prefer S&W's revolvers,-prelock please! Might I suggest a short snout Model 66.

    Carry Gun Size?

Personally, I like something I can throw in my pocket and head out. Usually that is a J frame Smith or Keltec P9. At 6'-6", 325# I really can conceal just about any handgun I choose. I just like the simple way I guess.
  15. Maybe you could encourage him a little more with a field trip to Sevier Indoor Range some afternoon. They are a refreshing change of pace from the usual shop owners I visit.
  16. It may just be me but, that holster seems about double what I think it is worth. Start hitting shops local, look online at Desantis, Roys, Bianchi etc. for that kind of cash you should be able to find a dang nice holster. Gunshows are also a great place to touch and feel lots of different hosters.
  17. Disregard all previous posts! That gun is a dangerous piece of junk. Send it to me immediatley for proper disposal. I will even pay postage!

    Feather USA Rav

Never heard of it. Gotta link?
  19. My break in consists of shooting all the ammo I brought, then going home and scrubbing the barrel out. Seems to have worked pretty well for the last 30 years or so!
  20. I called the facctory on this before I purchased mine. They told me ,that most locksmiths have keypads with an assortment of connectors, and they can hook up their pad and let you punch in the code. I also asked what happened in case of a break in or someone stealing the pad. They advised they would send another with a copy of the receipt and a notarized letter from the owner for $20. They also said the low battery beeper will drive you nuts before it dies(like a smoke detector) and the safe retains your combo when the battey dies.
  21. Just pretend it's loaded all the time until you get to the Smith with it.
  22. I don't think you'll regret buying that one. I had an early model that I wish I would have hung on to.
  23. I didn't realize she lived in the apartments behind Cedar Bluff Post Offic. I get to deliver the mail up there every now and then. You're right, they look nice on the outside. We almost rented ther when we first got to town. Decided real quick I'd rather commute an hour each way than live in the big city. Down the street a little ways in either direction of your apartment is a whole nother story though. Take a ride down Cedar Park or Park Top behind you. I recommend this be done in daylight!
  24. I personally like the wood ones much better. She has some really pretty grips, but that pair just doesn't do it for me. Then again it is your money:)
  25. Try doing a search on Chicago Auto Auction Crash it was apparently covered by every news agency in Chicago. For some reason Charter Cable gives us a Chicago Station and I caught the tail end of the story last week. Looks like some folks were hurt pretty bad from what I found online.
