    Bersa .380 Question

Everything I have read or seen gives the Bersa a good reccomendation. There were a couple people using them in the HCP class I attended and they all seemed to function well. A well placed .380 beats a sharp stick in the eye any day.
  2. As I said, I 'm not stupid and realize the necessity in carrying. I like the idea of protecting myself and family from lowlifes as much as anyone. I'm just saying it's a pain and if the need wasn't there I would probably not carry. Of course the problems are only going to get worse and the need to carry will keep growing.
  3. Kind of brings a whole new meaning to the term of "squirt gun"
  4. I am sure my opinion will get me ridiculed but I think carrying is a total pain. Yes, I do have a permit. Yes, I do have a law enforcement background. No, I'm not stupid and yes I do carry.
  5. I would love to see a few still photos of the gun frame. It would be interesting to see what damage it sustained.
  6. There is a 12 step program for you glock guys.
  7. Rabbi, Standard 1911 slabs won't fit. You have to use the grips for the compact models, I think mine were for the officer model. If I can find the package I'll tell you the hogue part number.
  8. That thing ain't no good! Send it to me and I'll send you a real gun, like an RG22. It was only used by a little, old, atheist, Sunday School teacher lady on Sunday evenings. Very nice, new toy you got there.
  9. I have the same gun in stainless. CCO model I think? My experiences have been the same with anything I feed it. I added a set of Hogue wrap around rubber grips because I really didn't care for the factory slabs. Colt officer model grips fit perfectly. Not sure I am going to leave them on because they make it a bit harder to conceal easily.
  10. Probably put them in the spool with the red x on it!
  11. Julianne is the hot little blondie, right? Never seen the show.
  12. Glasers are not the same as shotshells. Glasers don't seperate until the bullet actually hits something and fragments, shotshells start seperating when they leave the barrel.
  13. I guess my permit class was an indepth one. I had to actually fire one bullet at 7 yards. I didn't have to load the gun though! About the same amount of info presented as Tn class, just didn't have to watch the stupid movie.
  14. Maybe Ruger will see it and just make us a copy of it!
  15. + 1 on the Star BM. I have had several over the years and always had good luck with them. Well made guns for the $200-$250 price range. Only problem might be replacement parts if needed. Para Ordinance came out with a Baby Nine recently also, I think you could probably get 3 Stars for the price of one though.
  16. If I remember correctly Rossi made some of those up in the 80's might be possible to find a used one and save a little. I think they called them gallery guns, can't remember if they broke down or not. Turning 50 ain't easy.
  17. Your thoughts please. I posted the other day about the Saiga S12 I bought. I don't really have much use for it, but I couldn't pass up the price, a little over $300 out the door. Since then, I have been watching them sell on Gunbroker for the $700 price range. What would you do? sell it now or hang on to it and hope they keep going up.
  18. Our new computer came equipped with Vista. After a few monts of aggravation we dumped it all and reloaded Windows XP again. Much more better now!
  19. The Post Office will forward all your first class mail for 18 months. The next 6 months it gets returned to the sender with your new address on it for their information. I think magazines or periodicals only forward for 60 days.
  20. Depending on its condition, it could be worth a couple grand. It is worth making sure you get the correct thumb latch for that model. You might find one at a gunshow, but you need to know if it's correct for that gun, and not something that just fits. Some of the guys on the Smith & Wesson Forum are really into older Smiths and may have some parts.
  21. Will it work for smart-ass syndrome? I have a chronic case.
  22. I think my wifes snoring kind of weakened the impact here. Between her and the dog most nights seem like an earthquake!
  23. Get the Dan Wesson in 10mm, so that I can buy it from you when you get tired of it.
  24. Suggest that he bequeath it to you. Tell him you'll even get it a safety deposit box or good lock if it will make him feel better.
  25. Maybe you just have the anti-Midas touch like me. Everything I touch turns to crap instead of gold! Buy high, sell low- make it up in volume, thats my motto!
