It should be fine to shoot. I would not shoot a steady diet of +p ammo in it. I have several "older" Smiths that I shoot frequently.

Even though I will be accused of showing bad form, I believe I will sell or trade, what I want , when I want, for whatever I want. This is especially true if it's something I really don't like or want!

I would only buy at less than market level. Times are going to get tougher financially. I think we will be seeing lots more of these wise entrepenuers trying to save some of their investment.

We have a fat, 7 year old, red female dobie from Doberman Rescue, and a border collie mix male from the Humane Society. Between the two of them they may have one half of a brain! However, they make me laugh and love unconditionally. Thats why I get up and go to work everyday while they stay home in the house and sleep!

I am building one up a piece at a time also. Newest additions to my Springfield are an extended slide release and a mag well/main spring housing combo.

Lets don't even get into the, seen/saw usage, around some of the forums. My personal favorite though, are the gun ads with handguns having a 4' barrel. Must be hard to find a holster for a 4 foot barrel gun. Maybe thats why they are selling it!

Something ate my post. I have a Star 40 just like the one pictured. I took it in as a partial trade. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I did have a Star PD and a BM (yes that what they called it!) years ago. Both were excellent guns at a decent price point. This one is for sale or trade since it is the only 40 cal I own. I am trying to consolidate calibers. I will be listing it in the classifieds as soon as my camera comes home.

I don't think anyone can do background checks as Nashville is still shut down from the weather. Any reports from the sale?
