Know what you're looking at, or be prepared to overpay. Its the same as any other line of business. I have purchased a good portion of my guns from pawn shops over the years. I still enjoy pawnshopping on my days off looking for "deals"!

Try stripping the oil off of it and then gettin a can of stain sealer from Lowes etc. It seals the wood grain before staining so softer parts don't absorb more finish than harder parts of the grain. I uused it on some stair treads with excellent results.

We have been using a dehydrator to dry out excess produce from the garden. Never have tried out the (solar) method though.

Isn't burning bacon one of the seven deadly sins? Not sure what the other six are, but bacon burning has to be near the top!

My local guy did the ones on my glock for free. I did pay a little more than mail order, but he had them installed in less than hour for me. I understand the XD sights are quite a bit more trouble though!

Look at the National Parks websight. We used to camp in the Smoky Mtn National Park every summer. Been a lotta of years since then though.

Oaks gunshop has a well earned history of being way to proud of their stuff! Used to ride up and handle their guns, then go home and find them cheaper everywhere and ordered what we wanted from a sane dealer.

If it doesn't I am sure I have a couple old speed loader pouchs you can have to hold you over. Might take a day or so to find them though.
