Somehow, 3 people who have gathered to pray against an abortion clinic does not seem to be a life threatning situation to me. Yes, I am well aware of attacks and bombings, etc, against doctors and clinics. However, few if any of those were mentioned to have been done by persons holding a prayer vigil outside, much less a 24 hour, 30 day vigil! It would be interesting to know the gender and ages of those the Dr threatened. It is quite possible the Dr just didn't want to deal with their agenda and figured he could shorten the confrontaion with a little show of force. Without more info I am not sure the wrong person was charged!

I make my wife do ours! Seems to be working out pretty well so far, although, she does have a few places that need to be touched up. I think I buy her Cabots stain. It lasts a year or two before I need to tell her to redo it.

Love me some Dobies. We are on our fourth one now. The last three have come from rescue agencies. Have had 2-blk/tan, 1 red, and one blue. Does the white one have any problems with exposure to sun? Looks like yours are as big a bunch of spoiled "killer lap dogs" as ours are/were. My oldest son learned to walk holding our first dobies tale stub!

I know there is an older couple using a belt sander at gunshows around here to do sharpening. They clamp the blades in a jig made from vise grips to set the angle. I let them do my cheapie knock around knife and it came out well. Not sure I would trust it on a high dollar blade though.

That's just me though, I am an ass about spending money with someone who treats me like crap everytime I go in! For what it's worth, I drive 30 minutes and spend $13.00 an hour at Sevier Indoor Range. I am always treated with respect and courtesy. I will spend more to be treated like I expect!

No, I didn't get a new toy, I went to the range! $13 an hour plus 3 targets @ 1.00 ea, plus 100 rounds of .45, plus 150 rounds of 9mm, plus 50 rounds of .380. Yeah, I am pretty much broke now. But it was worth it!

I have noticed an increasing number of threads pertaining to old age= correctness. We do not know everything just because we have been here a few more years. Believe it or not the youngin's have some good ideas. I consider myself one of you, since I will soon be hitting the big 53! To completely dismiss someones opinion because of their age is ignorant. I may not agree, but I will listen. If what I hear is wrong (according to me) I will voice my views. I hope I never get to old to listen and learn, no matter the age of the teacher! Thanks for this post. I realise that I have no idea of a realistic inventory for my guns. I am sure others like myself, don't bother to update their records for purchases, sales, trades, etc, as often as needed.

It's time to weigh in as an official member of the "Old Fart Club" DaddyO. Age is not necessarily a good thing. I am VERY close to your age. I hope I never get so old, closed minded, and obnoxious, as to not appreciate a fellow shooters opinion regardless of their age. I don't have to take their advice, but I love hearing the logic behind it. It may be sound, or it may be something I can correct, or offer a different point of view on. Youth does not always equal wrong!
