Do you have room in the yard for a tornado shelter? There is a company around our area that sells a unit that looks like a fiberglass septic tank with stairs and door,air vents etc. Tthey are buried underground of course.They aren't for long term stays and I think they offer different sizes. Not sure if this route would be cheaper for you.

They currently use M1's or Springfields. The Springfield replica shown above is the one he has decided to be acceptable. If he sticks with it I will look into getting him one of the M1 replicas. Being in 9th grade his interest span is a bit short!

I have 2 or 3 Kershaws and have never had any problems with any of them. Good inexpensive knives for every day usage in my opinion. Are these the ones WOOT has on sale today?

Does anyone know of a semilocal source for a drill/parade rifle? My son just joined the ROTC drill team at his school and "needs" one to practice with. I have found a few online and will probably order one but was trying to keep my money closer to home. He wants to use his Moisin but I don't think our tile floors could stand to many drops from that beast!

Same thing happened to me. I took my daughter to the range when she was 12, she shot 6 rounds through my 6" Ruger GP100 and announced "This is mine".

I rented an appliance handtruck with the locking strap. I also figured out its a lot lighter to take all the shelves, racks,etc out of it before moving it.

Not trying to being a smart guy, but you need to stop experimenting and get some reloading instruction. At least buy a book on reloading. There are to many ways to screw up with bad results! Again, I am not try to be a wise tail, I just hate to see anyone or anything get hurt.

Had one years ago, iffy at best. Many FTF & FTE's and combination of the two. Popular price looks to be $400ish. Definit pass for me unless in the $250-$300 range. AMT had lots of innovative ideas at the time, unfortunately most just did not work!
