I have never shot a crossbow, so I ask this question for my education only. Do crossbow triggers have safeties and are they generally reliable or just an after thought? My prayers to all parties concerned.

Got quite a bit laying around here, though not as much as you. I have 2 favorites in my batch. One is a Griswold chicken frying pan with its lid. The other is a Griswold Santa Claus cake pan my mom bought in the 60's. I'm not sure it has ever been used!

I changed out my springs a while back with a set from Wolff Springs I believe. I will have to check which weights I used. I also cleaned up the internals using a guide that used to be available on one of the ruger web sights. I think you have to pay for it now. It was called Iowegans IBOK.

Has anyone bought a replacement battery that they would recommend? Lots of choices on Amazon, all about the same price, same ratings,etc.

Like the SR45 but I am holding out for an SR 45C. Maybe someday the will build them.

There is also an app for iPhones that will let you call two different lines at the same time from a third line. The two people you call each think the other called them. You are able to listen in unnoticed.

If it sat that long the lube or lack of lube inside the frame may have bunked up. If it were mine I would remove the side plate and give it a good cleaning. If you are not comfortable doing this don't experiment on taking it apart, Model 27's are worth way to much to make silly mistakes on.

Just curious, how do you mean locked up on the Model 27? Trigger? Cylinder ?
