A hit with a 9mm beats the crap out of a miss with a .45 cal! I mainly have 9mms for the same reason, my wife if is able to control them.

Practice a lot on something cheap before trying it out on something critical. It is really easy to turn something into garbage, quickly!

Like Dolomite, I saved the time and effort by just cutting the tips of 2 fingers off. Never try to walk a chain on a sprocket with the motor in reverse. Your fingers will not slow the motor down the least bit! Then there was also that ugly incident with the chainsaw....

JFloyds Golf and Guns in Pigeon Forge. Lots of stock, most high as a giraffes butt! Sevier Indoor Range/ gunshop. Nice store, haven't been in there for a while so not sure of price or selection. A few pawnshops around that make J Floyd's prices seem reasonable.

Amazing how much it hurts every time it happens. So sorry for your loss. I have lost two of my best friends in the last couple of years. It isn't fun, but there is always another needy dog, desperately looking for a worthy owner.

My son and I nailed 7 of them yesterday, barehanded! Apparently they don't see so well above themselves. A swift down shot to knock them out of the air, followed by a good stomp,seems to work well. Of course, if anyone is watching you, they will think you are afflicted!
