  1. Kind of like playing Whack a Mole!
  2. Reminds me of my dad. He is a retired postal supervisor with 38+ years of service. While vacationing in Brevard NC a few years back he needed change for the newspaper box located in front of the post office. He politely asked the window clerk if she would break a dollar for him. She said no, and proceeded to give him a lengthy lecture on how far it was to the bank, having limited funds available, serving postal customers only, etc. Dad waited until she had finished the lecture and asked if she had any one cent stamps available. When told yes, he gave her a twenty dollar bill and asked for two. While she gave him the stamps and counted back the change, he thanked her, and repeated back most of her lecture on how far the bank was, how long it took to get there, etc. My mom refused to ever go to that Post Office with him again.
  3. I would have just given him an Earnhart Sr. Love tap with the front bumper!
  4. Sometimes stupid is fatal. Hope original thug is charged for his buddies death.
  5. Main thing I see wrong with them, is the fact that I don't have any!
  6. Made it safely. Boy are there a lot of idiots on the highway between Knoxville and South Florida! Thanks for all the kind thoughts and rest assured, I will be lurking close by.
  7. Well tomorrow is the big day! I am moving back to Florida. My parents are entering their upper 80's and starting to have more medical issues. Da d is 87 and just finished chemo treatments for lung cancer. I found at yesterday he was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia but is doing pretty well. I had applied for a job transfer in there area. Normally it takes 6-8 months to even begin the process. I figured that would work out well time wise for my son who will be a senior this year. My transfer was accepted and approved in seven days! So, I'm going wife and son will be here for another year. Long story short, I have enjoyed meeting and trading with some of you, and enjoyed the comaraderie of this sight. I fully intend to continue causing trouble on here even if it is long distance.
  8. Reminds me of my younger foolish days! We would tape model rocket engines to bamboo stakes and light them off. Kind of like a bottle rocket on steroids. I can tell you first hand that reloading the fired rocket engines with 4f black powder is not a good idea, unless you wish to speak with the local law enforcement officers for a while.
  9. Last I read, all the ones that had been returned to the factory for service were still there. They apparently have no fixes for the problems.
  10. On the up side, broken washers make great long range rifle targets.
  11. Now you can start breathing again! This stuff always happens at 5:01pm on Friday. Then you have to sweat out the whole stinking weekend before you can talk to a human.
  12. Have you started breathing again? Isn't it strange how stuff like this happens on Friday at 5:01pm and you have to sweat out the whole week end?
  13. The bank will also keep it if it is a counterfeit. They will have you sign the front of it and send it to the Feds. Best bet if you want to keep it is to check with some of the coin collector guys.
  14. A while back, there were several ladies that thought the belly band holsters were just the ticket. Same idea as the first picture but rides higher up and is a bit cheaper.
  15. Definite plus one on a flash diffuser. Be aware of the color of the wall, roof, or whatever your bouncing the flash off of.

Anybody go? Usual stuff, anything neat?
  17. I am looking at a very lightly used copy for $360 out the door. Tactical model for home defense. Any experience with them? Thoughts pro or con?
  18. Have you got your little plastic horn thingy all warmed up for the matches? Can't remember what they are called, starts with a V?
  19. No it's not, it's for the children!
  20. I like beer!

    Inflatable dolls?
  22. I think in that case, David is going to want you to leave a large cash deposit for his trailer!
  23. Hah! You were lots nicer than I was!
  24. Don't you love it when you get these emails from places you have never had an account with? I used to frequently get " emergency emails" from Fifth Third National Bank,, I never even knew they existed, much less had a compromised account with them.
  25. The botanical gardens were very nice the day I spent there. Probably not so hot at night though!
