If you move this to the classified section you will probably get a lot more exposure.
  2. Every book signing I have attended were held in commercial locations. Books to be signed had to be purchased there, at full retail price usually. No slipping off to Sam's or somewhere else and purchasing a discounted copy.
  3. There was a vendor at the last Knox show selling these. Certainly not inexpensively, I'll take a shot at them in the near future. Helpful hint, if you are using Craftsmen power tools, quit before you start. They are just good enough to piss you off!
  4. Knoxville Craigslist is scalping tickets in the $350-$400 range in god knows what section. Since the Gators aren't playing, I believe I'll stay home.
  5. Several of the shops around me are owned by older, computer illiterate owners. It maybe, that they just don't kow how and don't want to lerarn, or pay someone to help them.
  6. If you just want a quick, down and dirty class, Smoky Mountain Knife works offers a build your own blade class. More touristy than academic, but my son was proud of the knife he built.
  7. Rental casket is not the worst, by state law in Fla, for creamation, you must purchase a cardboard box for the decedent for creamation. Cost? Only $250! Nah, death isn't a racket!
  8. Oh trust me, we could have spent multiples of what we spent. Based upon my mom's an dad's expressed wishes, not the funeral homes suggestions, we were able to keep things realistically priced. Ie. Displaying a photo of dad, rather than renting an empty casket for memorial display, was about $650 in savings. Death is such a racket it is sickening
  9. If it helps any, the charges for my dad's cremation and simple service came out to about $3500 a few weeks ago.
  10. Is there a limit to blade length that you are able to sharpen? My son is a chef and I thought it might be nice to occasionally have his professionally sharpened. I have mainly bought him Shun blades. Aren't they sharpened at a different angle than most knives?
  11. I'll be up at 4:00am headed to work. Maybe there will be some leftovers to watch.
  12. I never realized those little suckered were so territorial. We have 2 feeders in the back yard and they all fight to eat out of the same one.
  13. I just returned Sunday from my father's funeral in Florida. He gave cancer a good fight but passed away at the age of 90. Much the same situation as yours ggwilde
  14. Or do like me, let it grow and cut it short. It is all green.
  15. If you aren't set on a puppy, we have adopted 3 from Fla. Look up Gary Veldhaus at Ce ntral Florida Doberman Rescue. He is in Lake Placid FL and has some beautiful ogs available. If I could sneak a couple past the warden they would be sleeping on the couch now
  16. Following this thread. I have been wanting a Dan Wesson and a 10mm, what could be better than both in one?
  17. I used to have a 6" stainless GP100 that I had spent many hours polishing internally and externally. I let my daughter try it at the Range one day, now it is hers. I miss that gun...
  18. I would say her career has pretty much gone down the tubes, in a flaming pile of doodoo.
  19. The IRS doesn't call people, they send certified letters.
  20. The old timers around my parents place in North Carolina swore that hanging a bar of soap, or a mesh bag containing human hair would keep deer away from the trees. Never tried it, but it's cheap enough.
  21. A small community near my hometown holds an annual frog leg festival as a fundraiser. It has been come quite well known and is protested every year by the Pansies. Google Fellsmere Frogleg Festival. Strangely enough, no one ever protests the neighboring communities seafood festivals.
  22. Somehow, we adopted our daughters 11 month old, female pit. She also likes chewing oak boards coincidentally. Like the oak risers on the front entry stairs. #%~\_>!
  23. I also saw that crap! How many ways can you say, legal theft? This whole thing has been blown out of proportion and is going to bite law enforcement in the ass.
  24. Do you think you could prefer miracle surgery on a blade? I purchased a large Browning folder at a yard sale for $2.00. The blade looks like they tried to sharpen it with an electric can opener. If you are up for a challenge I'll send it to you for evaluation. It may not be worth the time to spend on it.
  25. Went to Ollies this morning to burn up an expiring coupon. While there, I pursued the book section and found a stack of "Blue Book of Gun Values" by Fjestad. They are the 36th edition dated 2015. They are priced at $12.99. I picked one up for model reference more than gun value. I also wanted it so that I can look smart, and snap off prices to Steelharp when he finds treasures!
