Adhesive bandage - specifically uncut rolls
morrisster replied to morrisster's topic in Survival and Preparedness
KKing, I'm a nurse and have had lots of exposure to various products and its not coban. Its basically a long/wide uncut bandaid allowing you to cut which ever size you need. Hozzie, I'll send $20 with you if you find some and wanna grab some for me if you find it. pitt2magic, your link didn't take me to a product but their main page. what did you search for on their page? I can see if its similar -
When I lived in europe, a friend of mine introduced me to "wundschnellverband". A company named Hansaplast makes it its 6cm x 1m and you cut however wide of a piece that you need. Great for covering an incision or blade wound. or making a small skinny for a finger or something. I can't seem to find a replacement here in the US - my googlefu search skills aren't that good. Anyone seen or heard of this stuff on this side of the pond? If you have - where can I buy - I've run out thanks heres an example http://www.praxisdienst.com/en/Bandaging+material/Surgical+dressings/Plaster/Band+aid/Hansaplast+Elastic+Adhesive+Plaster+Roll+4cm.html

SkySaver Personal Rescue Device up to 100 stories
morrisster replied to a topic in Survival and Preparedness
definitely not within the normal margin of safety... but when it matters/counts you'd rather have it than not. The guy who trained me on my NFPA certs told of a story where he was on a nat geo expedition in china, where for weight savings they had to carry the smallest lines they could afford to. They were on 6-8 mil ropes (shoe strings basically) - the margin of safety was like 1.1:1 - they eliminated people from the team because they were too heavy and the larger ropes would have been too much. Would I operate my daily rope work on such thin margins? Absolutely not! Would I mind having a pocket full of cord that can handle my weight to rescue my @ss from a sticky situation? you bet your britches I wouldn't mind. Also, would I clip into a handrail screwed into drywall? Ha... -

Murfreesboro Police gun buyback this Saturday
morrisster replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Hershmeister, thanks for calling the PD. I will try my best to make it up there next weekend. I agree with OS, just ask if they legally owned the firearm and that they are a TN resident. (that's all I usually do). See you guys there? -
That's probably reason enough to go to that one instead of manchester... Its 1.5 hours one way to either one. Which one should I go to?

Murfreesboro Police gun buyback this Saturday

so is this a thing? are we organizing a TGO buy-back program? I'll come up for a few hours if that's the case. I'd prefer a group (2 or 3 at least) so we can stand in solidarity in case the police start acting stupid about our presence. Its like going to a storage auction - you never know what'll show up. If they are offering $50 gift cards, I bet all we'd have to do is offer $60 cash (shoot even $50 cash). Seriously though, if anyone is going, please please please PM me and i'll join. -
I don't know how many of you engage in commerce online (either buying or selling) but this should be a concern to all of us. Lamar Alexander actually voted FOR this legislation (S.743) that requires retailers to comply with tax collection regulation in over 9000 different jurisdictions around the country. Isn't taxation supposed to be a point of sale type situation? (It has been until now!). My business pays tax in the county and state where I am located, not to each individual's home state and county of residence. Who polices it? Basically this is a backdoor way for the government to track all online commerce (everything really) to make sure we comply. WE DON'T WANT THIS! Call Bob Corker 202-224-3344 and Lamar Alexander 202-224-4944 and tell them to vote NO on S.743 I spoke to both of their offices this morning already - had to wait on hold for Corker but it was less than 5 mintues. read about it and decide for yourselves. but I hope you side with me in opposing this tyrannical piece of legislation http://www.nationalreview.com/article/346567/misnamed-marketplace-fairness-act

funny you mention DS tactical... I went to their store in westminster BC on my way to Alaska last summer and bought 2 sceptre cans to carry extra fuel for my truck. They are the best. Where have you found cans locally? (to TN) I managed to find one in Idaho on CL and picked it up on my way driving back down (it was reasonably priced). Most guys on CL or ebay want like $100/can. Crazy.

Listing of all FFL's in TN (as of 2/13). Maybe this isn't interesting to anyone else. Feel free to delete it I guess. http://www.atf.gov/files/about/foia/download/ffl-list-2013/02/0213-ffl-list-tennessee.txt
