  1. OhShoot, i'm very sorry to have bothered you with this post then...i hadnt saw it mentioned and no i dont have time unfortunately to check every board on here all the time. please forgive me...i was just trying to see if anyone else had saw it or heard anything...
  2. Anyone out there seen or heard anything about this? http://www.wbir.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=81706&provider=rss
  3. i agree that the 26/27 does conceal easier than the 19/23 does. but if you were set to one glock, and you worked hard at concealment, you could get by with just the 19/23. i love the baby glocks and i love the fullsize ones, but not much love for the mid-sized, thats just my opinion. i've tried to pocket carry my 27 and i just cant do it...you all that do must have some big pockets!
  4. i love my 27, but couldnt think about daily life without my S&W 642. it rides in my pocket when the 27 isnt feasible (cant carry where i work, so that means alot of arming and disarming, pocket carry is much easier for this). i think you can probably carry the 19 you have in the same ways you would carry the 26 you want, and just as successfully. if i were you i would go with the J frame, and later on if you still need/want the 26 then pick it up then. i dont care much for the mid-sized glocks, i like mine either full sized or baby sized!
  5. truth hurts!
  6. we've had lots of small house cats and dogs go missing due to coyotes in the last year around here...one instance not far from my house was when the young daughter was on the porch with the dog when the coyote nabbed it. hunting pressure on them has increased though, and sightings are fewer and further apart now. i've done my share at picking a few of them off...
  7. if i'm not mistaken, the 1200 is a pump action and the 1400 is a semi-auto...
  8. can you imagine how much headache and grief this guy has been through all due to a nosey neighbor? i cant believe people cant mind there own d@&* business when something is not hurting anyone...yet look the other way when they see someone getting robbed, mugged, raped, or whatever because they "dont want to be involved"... that really grinds my gears!!!
  9. i wear mine dropped as low as possible, in the 3 o'clock position. mine is the slide version also so i can carry my G27 and G22 if need be. it is the most comfortable IWB i've found for the Glock, but i've never used an MTAC.
  10. i love my CTAC, i think its the most comfortable IWB i've ever worn for my Glocks...
  11. that is a nice one...congrats on a nice find! patience is a virtue

    My EMP:up:

the small revolvers are just inherently hard to shoot. the grip is small...the sights suck...and the trigger is long and heavy. but they carry easy and are very reliable. inside 25 yards i can stay center of mass with my no lock 642...it is my EDC

    Ruger Mini14

a friend of mine has a newer 6.8spc model and he loves it. i've never saw him shoot it, but he is not one to lie either...he claims 1" groups easily at 100 yards. i have a newly acquired Mini-14 to me that i havent pulled the trigger on yet...i'm hoping it shoots good. i had a Mini-30 in the past and it was a fun rifle to plink with, but i honestly dont remember if i ever shot it for groups or not. it was a 2 liter jug capable at 100 yards, i remember that much!
  14. nice looking sheds! i have only ever found one shed my entire life...and it was the most amazing feeling to me in the world. congrats on finding a pair!
  15. Hey guys, anyone out there got a Howa M1500 Axiom? i've been thinking about one of these for a long time now, just wondering what some of the opinions out there are. i held one at Bass Pro and fell in love...just wonder how they shoot? http://www.legacysports.com/products/howa/howa_axiom.html thanks for any thoughts, Chris
  16. i was really excited about this new revolver from ruger at first, but the more i think about it, the more i wonder about it...
  17. let me know what you think about the Knoxx, i'm seriously considering getting one of those for my Mossy 500
  18. Tungsten, thats a very good thought. but if someone just had to have a pump, they could go with a Knoxx recoil reducing stock and be right with the semi's in the recoil department, if not better. i'm thinking seriously about getting a collapsible M4 Knoxx for my 500...
  19. nothing wrong with the Remmy's i just prefer a Mossberg. the number 1 thing that i love about the Mossberg is the tang safety on top...super easy to get to in any situation and the trigger finger is always ready to go into action with the trigger...not fiddling with a safety. about the only other "quicker" safety on a gun for me in a defensive or combat situation is the Ruger Mini-14 setup... my HD shottie is a 500A with a speed feed buttstock, 6 round sidesaddle, and green Hi-Viz clamp on fiber optic front sight that sits in front of the bead... just about heaven for me in the shotgun world...simple but very effective!
  20. Ramline makes synthetic stock sets for about all the lever actions out there...they are pretty nice stocks. a friend of mine has a set on a Marlin 336...

    223 Bolt Action?

i handled the Remington 799 at Bass Pro this afternoon. i just dont like it...it feels very very small in your hands...the bolt handle is tiny and the entire action feels slightly bigger than some .22magnum bolt guns i've held in the past. i guess for smaller shooters (kids, women...) it would be ok, but if your planning on shooting it alot then i'd find a bigger action... just my thoughts...
  22. my everyday carry is a S&W 642. i carry it in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster in my right front pocket. i love mine!
  23. the best IWB holster i've found for any Glock is the Comp Tac C-TAC. a 27 pretty much disappears completely for me under just a t-shirt when carried at about 3:30...
  24. i carry a 27, and i can hide it much easier IWB with just a tshirt for cover than i can a 19 or 23. maybe its just me or maybe its my body's shape...but the 27 works much better for me...
