There's a dash cam by Cobra that I installed in my daughter's car a few months ago when she started driving.  Not only does it record video and audio, but GPS data and speed. She got a speeding ticked a few weeks ago.  She swears she wasn't doing 30 over the limit.  But, of course, the dash cam suction cup lost its seal, and she's not quite sure where it ended up... Technology is nice.  When it works.  And, perhaps, when it isn't sabotaged... ETA: Oh, yeah.  She's also paying for the ticket.  And the increase in insurance, if she can't get it dismissed with traffic school.  And she's buying a new dash cam.

Thank God for resellers.  They make available what you might have trouble finding.  If that pisses you off, I can only imagine what you might think of me.  I'm a hoarder.   :pleased:

Or you could just sell it to me, and get a brand new Mark III...

Super happy with mine. Recoil is very manageable. The grip might get a bit uncomfortable, though, if you shoot more than a hundred rounds at a time. Slim, and conceals well. No function failures, so far. Red fiber optic sight is very easy to pick up and point. As for how it shoots, here's 7 rounds at 21 feet.

Hoplophobes will never define the word "reasonable." Because they can't. "Reasonable" is entirely subjective. What is "reasonable" to one person might not be "reasonable" to the person he's talking to. But as long as the hoplophobe can use vague terms like "reasonable," he can fool the other person into thinking they're talking about the same thing. Never trust a man who avoids speaking in specific terms that he can define.

Not recommended. As popcorn ages, it dries out. The less water it contains, the less likely it is to pop.

Would it really matter if it were a smoothbore? It's a derringer. It's a .22 short. Seems that the best use for it would be to jam it into the target before pulling the trigger. Hmm...Bad Guy Bellies: the Silencers that require no ATF tax stamp...

I have the same problem. A belt sander can fix that in a jiffy.

Steel ammo cans, sorted by caliber (and as much as possible, by brand). Color coded with duct tape (.45 orange, .40 yellow, 9mm green, etc), with specifics written in Sharpie on the tape (i.e., 3000-rds, Federal .22LR 36gr HP). Alternatively, ammo is dumped into mylar bags with a silica gel packet, heat sealed, and stuffed into sections of 4"-diameter PVC pipe, capped and cemented on both ends, and stored...elsewhere. For the record, a field-stripped Glock 19 will fit perfectly into a 4"-diameter PVC pipe.

Strongly disagree with you, there, ETP. When a "kid" is strong enough to get you on the ground, sit on top of you, and punch you in the face repeatedly, I can most definitely see that fear for one's life or of debilitating injury is reasonable. It doesn't matter if it's rare for people to die from it. When you're being attacked, you're not calculating odds. Statistical probabilities are not the point. The point is that you are getting your ass kicked. You might not know your attacker's strength, or his fighting skill, or how old he is, or his level of rage, or his reasons for beating you, or if he has a weapon, or if he'll be able to take your weapon, or if he's got friends who are coming to join in. As a LEO, you were trained to fight. You were given a number of non-lethal (pepper spray, taser) and less lethal (baton) options to improve your odds in a fight. You were given a radio which, with a single press of a big button, would connect you to someone who would summon aid far faster and in far greater numbers than would come for any regular citizen. Zimmerman did not have that spectrum of options. He had fist, foot, tooth and claw, which were proving ineffective. And he had a gun, which was overwhelmingly effective. He was receiving head injuries which could have led to a loss of consciousness, which could have then led to him having his firearm taken from him. I agree. Conversely, however, if one would indict Zimmerman simply because he didn't get beaten enough, they have no respect for the inviolability of one's person. The correct reason to return a No Bill is if it is reasonable to believe Zimmerman was attacked, brought to ground, and battered further. The correct reason to indict Zimmerman would be if there were reason to believe he initiated the physical altercation. Due to the lack of grievous harm to his face, you have indicted Zimmerman. So do you believe that deadly force can only be used in the face of grievous harm, or after it? As you've said, Tennessee and Florida law say that you may use deadly force when *you* are in reasonable fear of your life or serious injury. They don't say you have to actually allow yourself to be harmed. According to the available evidence, I believe it reasonable to think Zimmerman was in fear of his life or serious injury. The lesson he's learning is not that deadly force can only be used in the face of grievous harm. The lessons are (A) life is not fair, and ( deadly force used against a member of a protected class will get you into a world of hurt, whether it was justified or not.
