You can't touch a DIAS for 7500. A lightning link can be bought for that but last I checked a DIAS is around 13,000. Meaning the full auto stripped lowers that are going for around 9000-10000 right now would be the best option. I couldn't pay 7500 for a lightning link and stand to use it all the time. Might buy as a collector's piece, but I don't think they are durable enough for long term use.

Gotta be licsenced to be able to pull the permit to do that kind of work. I do my own electrical from the box in the house, but from the box to the meter or setting a meter base I have to get my uncle to pull the permit and I just help him do the work. I'm sure murfreesboro won't hook up without having a permit and inspection. Gonna have to hire it out.

There's a few TEK converted ruger's floating around, but the norell trigger packs are the best way to go I believe. Buy one of them and a new ruger and your ready to rock. I wanna try the american 180 .... if they are picky wouldn't wanna own it though.

Backyard Shooting? (Shelby County Area)
ioerror001 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The city ordinance here in dickson where I live is "Cannot be discharged in an unsafe manner" Personally with houses around I would say without having some kind of Moderate sized dirt mound or stop to shoot into anyone seeing you could say it's unsafe, and it probably is. Don't wanna go through a window and kill someone. But if you have something, other than a VCR to shoot into I'm sure your city is similar. -
how long does the ATF take these days?

just got back a machine gun form 4 .... check cashed 1st week of march, got the form 4 on april 21 -
It's just weird, I see people on golsn, here, glocktalk, and other places all asking (some/most closing the deal) for 500 or more. How can a used glock that only comes with 2-3 mags sell for over 500? They are only 500 new well, slightly over with tax and tics. Maybe the prices drop when cops are selling theirs and I just picked a bad time to sell that g19 last year. I have owned at least 10-12 glocks over the last 10 years, never paid over 450 used, only bought 1 new, and I just think it's weird over the last 6 months people are paying over 500 used. heck it's only 50.00 difference could be just how much the dollar has dropped I guess, just wondered if anyone else has noticed this trend. I have never seen a production gun like a glock appreciate.

Last year I couldn't give away a glock 19, finnially had to sell for 425 to get it gone, been wanting a g26 and all I can find is 500-550 .... I bought NEW glocks for 479.99 ... can someone enlighten me on why a glock is suddenly worth about a hundred more than they were last year? I am relaly kicking myself for selling the g19 so cheap. Was it just a bad time to sell, or did cops quit selling them at the 400 hookup, or did glock raise dealer prices or what?

I would like to chime in on this one, as I have become an avid ar fan and also an avid 2nd ammendment rights advocate. The batf has made it clear through ads (look at any bushmaster catalog) and through other cases, that if you have 1 M16 part in your ar15 you can be charged with constructive intent to make a machine gun even if the gun is incapable of firing a single round. That being said a 3 position selector is a m16 only part, a ar15 only has 2 positions and will not goto the 3rd position. So that in and of itself makes him convictable. Possibly not for transferring a machine gun, because unless he has an autosear or a factory sear with the lower drilled a ar platform cannot be made to fire but once, and possibly have the hammer ride the bolt creating a very unsafe situation but not a machine gun. Just my .02, guy could also be charged for dealing guns without a licsence. I personally think he should take a plea deal on transferring a machine gun and call it quits. TI (rapper) is only getting 1 yr in jail and 1500 hours community service for buying 3 machine guns and 5 silencers and he's a felon buying from an ATF agent, so I think this guy should plead on this get some probation and be happy he's not getting the whole 10 years and 250k fine.

I had a bersa thunder .380 bought new back in 1997-1998 was the all stainless one (don't think they offer it any more). The one my friend had shot great so I bought one. Never shot much, put about 1 clip through it new and it sat for years. Wasn't rusty at all, no corrosion or anything I could find, but for some reason it wouldn't strip the first shell out of the mag right. Once you forced the slide closed and fired it would empty a whole mag, but hand cocking and releasing the slide it wouldn't do it about 70% of the time. Totally unreliable as a carry gun for that reason. I sold it for bottom dollar. Only thing I could think of was maybe a weakened spring but it was not stored open or anything that would have done that so???? Maybe a lemon that tested fine new???? anyway I may try one later on but I'm not a big fan of bersa for that reason. Fits the hand nice though. Brandon

It's supposedly perfectly safe in any firearm. I haven't ordered or tried any yet. But the way it works seems logical it would be safe. We'll see though I guess. Public ranges are out. This is strictly private land ammo. Or self defense? bet that would stand up in court well.

Are there any transferable military grenades, in all my time on the boards I have never seen one for sale. I have seen some decent 40mm stuff, I haven't found any 40mm frag grenades either though so maybe I just don't know where to look. I would be interested in grenade pricing if there are any available.

Ashland City ADA not NFA friendly
ioerror001 replied to a topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Maybe this has been covered, but I'm sure I heard tennessee has a MUST SIGN policy unless they have knowledge of the person to commit a crime, did the person not mention that when he was told he was denied? That should be something the sheriff knows, and unless the sheriff is saying that person can't get a signature he is breaking tennessee law. Shouldn't be much more than showing him the law and having him sign. Does noone on here have the TCA code showing the must sign in it? I haven't read it, just heard about it last year. -
thanks. My point exactly. Any gun with a finger on the trigger is dangerous. Because if your at that point your manual safety would be off also.
-
Just a heads up on something that I think everyone on here and possibly your drop in customer would want. I know the day I can hold one and make sure it isn't cheap junk is the day it's coming home with me. Here's the link to the guy ordering them, there's some other distributor I've contacted as this guy is an ass to deal with. I don't know of anyone in the state getting these and everyone I have talked to about it wants one. so .... without further adu http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/semi4sale.cgi?read=181078 looks real cheap ... not gonna go up in value, but would defintly get used till the bolt fell out at my house. Also dunno if you do but I would stock lower part kits for ar and similar. I haven't been in but last summer during a build I called everywhere I could think of (sorry for not calling didn't know about you) and couldn't find a lpk. Had to wait 2 weeks for the next gun show.

Not saying your doing it wrong, just saying if your in a position to put your finger on a trigger in any kind of situation you should be ready and willing to fire, therefore the glock isn't hurting your target in any way shape or form. The discussion is how they are "unsafe" and my point is if your handling your gun correctly and your pointing it at a target you want to hit and you have your finger on the trigger your good to go. You should not draw your gun with your finger on the trigger while it's pointed at your foot, leg, friend, or any other target your not trying to hit. And I'm not talking just at the range.
-
I'm talking about real world also ... my fobus holster covers the trigger area and when the gun comes out, it's pointed where the action is anyway. I have always been under the teaching never point any gun loaded or unloaded at something your not willing to kill. It's not like drawing it and putting your finger out straight will cause the gun to discharge. I think most of the "deadly glock" publicity is from people who aren't properly trained on using any handgun and they just buy a glock first thanks to tv etc. Once the own it they "accidentally" kill someone with it and glock gets a bad wrap for discharging on them. Had it not been pointed in that direction with a finger on a trigger it wouldn't have been able to do any damage.
-
If you properly use any firearm, your trigger finger stays straight until your ready to fire the weapon. Once ready to fire you can put your finger on the trigger, the gun should already be in the general direction your firing so you won't be running the risk of an accidental discharge. Then you finialize your sighting and squeeze the trigger. Maybe I'm way off here, but I have owned at least 10 glocks and shot hundreds if not thousands of rounds through them, and even carried one daily for the last 2 years. Never once has it failed me and I doubt it will. My dad was scared of a glock the first time I showed it to him, he was all there's no safety. Once you understand the 3 safeties the glock has you understand why it's the safest way to allow instant safe-fire advancement. Again my opinion is glock is perfection. I hope they don't botch that with gen 4, but 1 -3 were true perfection.

Just gotta be careful which houses you goto, I bet someone really would call CPS over that. Soo many gun hating hippies out there.

I think this addon isn't really needed. If you keep your finger off the trigger the glock does it's job VERY well. I'm probably part of the new miniority but I still like the glock better than anything else I have shot. Even the old xd everyone is switching to. I think with a couple add on parts (threaded barrel, extended slide release and mag release and night sites) Glock really is perfection.
