  1. Agents also found a 5.56mm caliber rifle and a .45 caliber machine gun inside his home From the article My guess would be a 5.56 rifle (m16) and a .45 caliber machine gun (mac 10, thompson similar)
  2. Go with YHM on both, stainless phantom on the .223 and mite on the .22
  3. suprised more aren't busted that way, I saw a tec-9 with a foregrip on it in the pics on gun broker a couple years back, I think they closed the auction but I e-mailed the seller and at the time it was closed no leo action on it. Guess they can't catch them all.
  4. Welcome ... nice to see some other bluffians on here.
  5. Loving that arguement, however I wish this case weren't being tried. The fact that he was illegally in posession of machine guns, and is trying to use the heller case to get a pass isn't the best idea. An a negative ruling here would possibly hinder machine gun ownership, and possibly even lead to "paramilitary" (assault) weapon bans. On the other hand, if the argument that the 2nd ammendment upholds machine guns this could be VERY GOOD. I would love a chance (was too young in the 80s) to buy a machine gun at retail, not over inflated market price due to them being banned. Believe me if that chance comes about I will go broke stockpiling Anyway anyone else wanna chime in. I think the decision is the big deal. Glad someone has the balls, just wish someone with a good arguement was pressing the issue.
  6. Would be soooooo true
  7. Guess this is really happening, I never thought I would see the rise of the third reich again in my lifetime, but it's possible hitler's nazi's really didn't go away, just migrated, got stronger, and reemerged as democrats sorry if this is anti gv'mt sentiment
  8. I have been using www.gun-deals.com/ammo.php .... this seems much faster, but I think it might be short a few sites unless it removes the onces backordered. I looked at .223 and didn't have much out there. Of course noone does.
  9. I'm pretty certain the pic above isn't the problem, I would look in the channel near the firing pin.
  10. probably coincidence on 3round, I don't know of a way to even make a glock do 3 rounds .... fully isn't hard to visualize, but there's no room for any sort of round counter. probably just some dirt somewhere causing the firing pin to stick forward or something and just coincidentally dropping 3 then releasing. Tear it all down and throughly clean then try again.
  11. interesting they haven't said anything about you not paying, maybe that's how obama's cabinet gets around it. Amazing to me they will lock you up for not paying 5000 in taxes but don't say anything about someone skipping out on 100k. I have to file, since I'm a w4 employee I either file or I don't get my piece back. Better be putting back what you owe for when the tax man does come. They will be addressing your issues sooner or later, and I'm betting they will let it pile up like they did on my uncle and come take everything you own.
  12. It's a movie called falling down, you should rent it if you can find it somewhere, if not pm me and I can let you borrow it. Guy has a REAL bad day and goes on a rampage. Not like he's a hero or anything, total criminal, but you can see it from his angle and really makes you side with him on all of it. Love that movie. Up there with shawshank and red dawn.

    Egyptian Maadi

I personally think if it's a maadi ARM iported by acc intrac of knoxville .... AWESOME gun buy it. If you are in state and he's not asking over 6-700 I will buy it if you pass. I would value it around 450 in a normal climate had a guy that wouldn't take less than 800 .... so that's a rough range on it for you to determine value, but they are solid shooters, and cut the 2 tac welds and it's got good threads under it. Cycles like a champ ... deadly accurate for an AK ...... If it's a SAR MISR or other maadi variant I can't speak for it, but if it's the maadi arm it's spectacular.
  14. sturmgewehr.com is about the best, probably find the best deals there, check out subguns.com most list on both. Don't know his pricing, but might check with herogear in winchester. Although the sales tax on a 4k gun instate might make buying out of state and paying a xfer cheaper. Just where I would start looking .... also If you can find a buyer in state you can go person to person and just pay 1 tax stamp. Great deal if you can find one in state ... bought both of mine that way and didn't have to pay double tax or shipping or class 3 xfer. Just FYI some people will tell you you still have to involve a dealer in state. Not the case. You still can't take posession till the stamp comes in so be sure you buy from someone you can get ahold of pretty easy. That's the only risk.
  15. I have one on a Glock 19 and I LOVE IT .... Lots of people hate them and end up selling them, I wouldn't do without it. I like it so much I'm thinking about buying one for my backup 19. Highly recommend it and if you don't like it I will probably be in the market for one around income tax time.
  16. Depends on how the receiver was 4473'd to you. If you bought it as a pistol lower your good to go, can build rifle or pistol. If you bought it as a rifle it's always a rifle and trying to make it a pistol will result in jail time if caught with it. That's how the law is on lowers as I have been told and understand it. It's possible an FFL could change the class since it hasn't been built yet, but I think it's once a rifle always a rifle, once a pistol can be either.
  17. If only more were informed, too bad noone listens in history class.
  18. Most of the good Ak's are probably closer to 14k .... 12 would be pretty basic
  19. One thig is for sure if we're out of lower parts kits and lowers like this I guess the people will be well armed enough to defend against almost anything. Lower parts kits are one of the last things I would see people being out of since gunshows and stores typically have a shelf full and they aren't controlled.
  20. Can someone explain why lower part kits are selling for 95.00 on glocktalk and 150 on ar15.com? They are 55.00 everywhere, are they somehow in short supply, or are people just going nuts and paying asking price on everything? Brandon
  21. I have never been to one, but kinda been thinking about going to one. Are there any in tennessee or would knob creek be the closest to goto?
  22. It's my understanding that with an NFA trust (I have one and this is how it was explained to me) That ONLY the Trustee can posess the item, and if there is more than 1 trustee ( ie: you and your wife) the atf will turn the application down. The advantage to a trust is no hasseling with fingerprint cards or cleo signoff. Also it will transfer tax free on a form 5 to whoever the benificiary is on your trust. You should also make sure whoever the successor trustee understands the importance of filing the form 5 with the ATF ... that's the number 1 issue with trusts and inheritance. People think that since it's in a trust it's automatic. It's not automatic, a form 5 has to be filed. Also I'm sure you know this, but it's a seperate legal entity so you will need to file another form 4 when you transfer it from you to your trust, and it will be another 200.00 ... it's easier to fill out the original paperwork directly into the trust. I'm no lawyer or expert, and I only have one item in mine for the time being, but this is how it was explained to me and what I believe to be the case. You can pm me if you have questions, and if I'm way off base you can flame the piss out of this, but I'm pretty sure this is how the trust thing works. I love it and all future NFA items will be in it.
  23. Maybe they should make ammo manufactures place tiny GPS locators and id chips in every bullet, then in addition to being able to track every bullet, they can make all guns as in accurate as possible with the chip causing it to tumble in flight .... then noone can kill anyone
  24. What is Bud's? I would love to get my hands on some PMC for around 300/1000 ... do they offer mail order?
  25. www.gun-deals.com/ammo.php palmetto state armory has PMC brass cased .223 for 350/1000, J and C sales has XM193 us made for 350 per thousand in stock, And widener's in johnson city, tn has privi partisan XM193 for 360/1000 ..... That's just the 350-360 range, there are plenty with less than 450 per thousand, now if we were talking official M193 or M855 I would say heck yeah 450 in state out the door is a good deal, but for XM193 .... it's still out there, and my guess is the "run" on ammo will slow as christmas approaches, and most likely will be normal until the dem's actually propose legislation .... I will be loading up, but not at inflated prices, just little by little at good prices. The mass panic is how people get ripped, look at the gas mess than happened in tennessee over just 1 rumor. Not to thread dump, if you wanna do a group buy at 450/1000 go ahead, it's not a bad price, I'm just personally not interested in it at that price point unless there's something making that ammo better.....however if you have the cash buy all you can and store for 2 years, and retire with the 500% markup you get to charge Just my .02
