2.
Hey! What's wrong with Land Rover / Range Rover?!?!
LOL, nothing...inherently. They may be pretty darn good off-road vehicles, judging by the number of them I've seen on Mutual Omaha's Wild Kingdom plowing through river crossings and winching themselves up into trees to get off the ground. However, judging by the number I see carrying soccer moms to/from lunch or quasi-execs in/out of the private underground parking garages everyday in Franklin, they may only be $100K status symbols.
3. It seems to me that the kind person interested in buying rocks isn't the kind of person that is willing to pick them up and haul them home in their Land Rover.
4. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they just don't like revolvers, but rifles shotguns and pistols are okay?
5. good advice...I like it
6.   There's no denying that they have a crowd when they're open.   Before you drop a bunch of cash on a piece of land, check for county ordinances about noise within so many feet of another residence. I have no clue what is or isn't permitted and where, but I've heard several people on here and in person say all kinds of things about neighbors and complaints and Sheriffs. I'd like to think you could do what you want as long as you're safe, but I'm completely ignorant on this subject.
7. Funny, went to look around their site and it's down. Maybe due to high traffic as a result of his email blast? Maybe he saved money on IT to offset the lower shipping prices? LOL
8. Not only did I quit buying there after being a big fan and loyal customer for what seems like forever, I even unsubscribed from their emails over the increased shipping costs. Nonetheless, I got that email about the reduced shipping costs yesterday.   Maybe I'll check them out next time I need something. Worst case, I find it cheaper elsewhere.
9. It's not easy to get an outdoor range approved within 30 mins of Nashville. I'm curious to see if someone can name another too. Off the top of my head, you have them covered.   Personally, I prefer the SRHEC on Hobson Pike. It's my favorite place to shoot, but I only shoot on weekends. They have more saftety rules than some places, but considering how inexperienced a lot of their shooters are, it's to your benefit. I could also go for a place to shoot rifles standing, but all they have is bench shooting. Regardless, it's hard to beat $5.50.
10.
Looking like this story was a hoax, which should have been everyone's initial assumption:http://leader-call.com/2014/06/23/kentucky-fried-hoax/Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm glad to see some followup on this. I've gotten some mean looks when this story comes up and I say it sounds like a scam.
11. Thanks, rugerla1. I'm loving the balance between old school and new school for now, but I catch myself ogling over the new PSE, Bear, and Hoyt bows. I almost scored a great deal on a 3 yr old Bear on eBay, but missed out at the last moment. I just know that if I got a modern bow, this old Browning wouldn't cut it for me any more.
12. When I first got this old Browning bow, it had been nearly 3 decades since I shot a bow. I kind of fell in love with archery all over again. The bow itself had a lot to do with it. It was cheap, because it's so old. It is simple and forgiving, unlike the precision instruments they make today. I even liked the old Proline string grid sight below at first. I quickly realized there was a balance between nostalgia and modern improvements. I upgraded to a whisker biscuit, mostly because I was finger shooting at the time and having trouble relearning not to pinch the arrow. However, it grew on me quickly. I also recently swapped in a newish 3-pin fiber optic sight. That made a big difference in ease of shooting all by itself. The biggest difference in my shooting came from adding a d-loop and switching to a mechanical release.

Count me out!

Seems like it'd be easier and safer to train all civilians to hit the deck when they hear gunfire. :D
14. impressive...oh, and nice belt too

for once, I'm speachless
16. I don't think HD expects to cannibalize one single current customer with this new product. They know their customer base won't be moved by this product. They're clearly going after new blood. Adventuresome environmentally-conscience guys (young and mid-lifers), who like the idea of 2 wheels, but hate the noise pollution as much as the exhaust fumes. Alternative fueled vehicles will happen eventually, whether we want them or not. The early entries into the market will have an advantage. Plus, what does it hurt? The classic biker type has no reason to fear his brand is being diluted by this product or its target consumer.
17. welcome to TGO glad to have another CZ guy around. I have a 82 and a 75 Shadow (heavily customized), but the decockers are my favorite too. I love my 97 BD, P-01, and Phantom. I don't have any of their polys yet, but I do like that Omega trigger of theirs.
18. I'm with you on this one gregintenn. I try to weed them out of my brass when I get home from the range, but invariably miss 5 or 13 of them. I wish they'd at least color them pink or something to make my life easier. Mind you...I still save them for hard times and would have no problem shooting them up, if I ran out of LPP and couldn't find more, LOL.
19. It bugs me that there will be some HD fans actually care if they make a bike different than the one they own. I know more than one desk jockey who drives a BMW on weekdays, but owns a $20K 1500cc HD that they keep in a rental storage shed until it's time to ride it 10 miles down to the nearest Hooter's on Saturday afternoon. They look down their noses as it is at "wannabes" who only have Sportsters. I can only imagine what they'll think of this new bike. I say rock on with your bad self HD and good job trying to appeal to more people. There's a reason why McDonald's sells burgers AND salads AND chicken....they're smart!
20. CLAIMED!
21. I'm sure in the end, evidence of some kind of wrong doing will be presented. Perhaps he has a garden and they'll find some fertilizer or maybe he has a slow drain and they'll find some Drano or maybe he reloads and they'll find some Bullseye. Any will be listed in their report as bomb-making implements of mass doom and destruction to justify pi$$ing on his Constitutional rights.   On the other hand, they may find something legit, who knows. Just sounds like a BS fishing expedition to me too. Any of us could be victim to this kind of crap. All it would take is one a$$hat anti to turn you in saying they "think" you have illegal weapons or bombs, etc. In they end, we may be exhonnerated, but the inconvenience and cost would still be up to us to bear.
22. I wish I could say I've never been forced to enter into a purchase with an unscrupulous seller, who was neither fair nor honest, due to circumstances beyond my control that favored him in a way that gave me little or no choice.   It sure didn't feel like capitalism to me, LOL.
23. I love those stocks!   I've been wanting to swap mine out for one of those same 2 for a while. They look great and are SO light!
24. I guess this punishment would be too much to ask, huh?
