1. Saw an episode of River Monsters where the guy got up to his neck into a pool full of piranhas that hadn't eaten in days. He stirred them up by pouring blood in the water and feeding them some meat. He didn't get bitten.
2. I've have several single lonely friends who need to work on some personal and financial issues. They are usually obsessed with video games or just emotionally immature in the eyes of the the ladies. Regardless, we all changed in one way or another to settle down. However, that's not the issue here. This girl is already shopping for your replacement. Imagine what she's told this guy about you to make him threaten you? You don't need/deserve that level of betrayal. GTFO, while you can. You DON'T wanna be married to this girl.
3. NICE!!
4.
If the banana isn't super ripe, peeling from the opposite of stem is generally easier. Of course I don't eat then until all green is gone so it's a non issue.
THIS^^^ I guess if you like green bananas instead of ripe bananas you have to open the wrong end. P.S. The corn trick is brilliant, however.
5. I've heard all kinds of complaints about seemingly everyone in Country music over the years. So-and-so is sounds like he's yodeling or good grief another cowboy song or dang, do they all have to be about somebody cheatin/running-off or that song's too twangy. Yet, the gold records keep on coming. There just ain't no way to please everyone at the same time. Nashville seems bent on attracting the younger crowd right now and Randy Travis and Roy Clark ain't gettin' er done. Nothing on the mainstream country stations holds a candle to Johnny Cash in my book, but I also like the new country and other music many would think a country fan wouldn't listen to like Beastie Boys, Dropkick Murphys, and Godsmack. If I only liked one sub-genre of one kind of music, I'd prolly be more angry if it changed.
6.   So, what I'm hearing you say is you don't like it, huh? LOL But seriously, I understand, it's a totally different style and it seems nobody is writing/performing the traditional country music any more. If they called it something different, you'd still have no new music that is traditional country...might get boring at the CMA Awards every year.   IIRC folks said the same thing about what was called Outlaw Country when I was growing up. Your average Conway Twitty or Loretta Lynn fan hated Hank Jr and Waylon and them and said they'd ruin country music. You might even ask the average Buddy Holly or Elvis Presley fan what they think of AC/DC and Led Zeppelin being the same genre as them too.   It's just the nature of change, I guess?
7. I don't see why everyone doesn't love this gal. She's the American dream come true. She grew up in what most of us would call an upper-middle class single-income family, admittedly dad was a stockbroker, not a fry-cook, but still...I don't see how you call it a wealthy family. Her first record deal was with a label nobody heard of. She only shot up so fast because of how good a writer she is. Her music has a little too much pop in it for my taste, but I respect her level of talent and hard work. Regardless of what fame and fortune has made her into, she earned it, IMHO.     Whatever you call what's played on 98 WSIX for example is bringing a lot of fans to the genre. I'd bet more than a few hang around to check out some Johnny Cash and Hank Jr while they're here. I like both and admit they are NOT the same, but I don't care what they call it. As Shakespeare put it..."A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."
8. Check out the DeSantis Sof-Tuck, DeSantis Pro Stealth and the DeSantis Insider. I've seen the Insider and Sof-Tuck on Amazon for $17-18 recently. The Pro Stealth was the first one I tried for my XD-S...in fact, I'm wearing it today. It's pretty comfy, being nylon and all. Plus it's real easy on the gun's finish.
9. Unfortunately for you, the longer you wear that holster the more compressed and smooth the fibers are going to get on the back side of the leather. Usually, this is considered a good thing, since that broken-in feel is what people hope for. Maybe a piece of neoprene rubber and some contact cement will do the trick. I've seen some really thin sheets on McMaster-Carr (http://www.mcmaster.com/#9455k76/=sym5bh). It comes in 12"X12" sheets. It's gonna be hot as hell against your skin, but just about anything that adds a non-slip texture will be. Odd as this may sound, I don't wear my hybrid holsters between my pants and boxers. I wear them directly against my skin for the same reason you state. May not work if you're a "tighty whitey" guy, though.
10. I'm glad it's working out for her. Sadly, if she were big chain with more publicity, she'd have a bunch of unwashed hippies with signs protesting in front of her corporate headquarters. Or worse, a bunch of AR-toting morons trying to ruin it for the rest of us.
11. That looks like it'd be fun to shoot. I bet you could do well at the Ruger Rimfire Challenge with that bad boy.
12. I hope he gets what he deserves before AND after the legal system gets its hands on him.
13.   Randy: What's karma? Earl: I don't know, it's something Carson Daly came up with. good stuff!!

Their country fried steak is second only to Cracker Barrel, IMO. But, if I saw a gun buster sign, I'd be very surprised. They're a homegrown local business. They should know better.
16. my new favorite meme
17. awesome story!   Philly can use more people up there with some common sense when it comes to firearms. I'm happy to hear you sent him home with more sense than he left with.
18. Sounds to me like a leather/kydex hybrid is exactly what you are looking for. The more populare brands like Crossbreed and Comp-Tac aren't cheap but the Alien Gear holsters are just as good and half the price.   http://aliengearholsters.com/holsters/s-w-sd40-ve-1.html
19. this explains a lot...according to TheNation.com good ol' Kristen usually writes about a different subject...weed   http://www.thenation.com/authors/kristen-gwynne
20.   mmm...hairy Hobbit feet
21. I gotta agree with how Runco put it...unless I needed the money, I would regret selling it. I do have to agree with you about one thing...I can reload 9mm Luger, 9mm Mak, and .45 ACP cheaper than I can buy .22LR. That does make it hard to want to shoot up the .22LR that I do have. However, I can wait it out....this couldn't possibly last forever.
22. those would likely cause premature wear on a set of shooting bags.
23. I'm tired of settling for handgun ammo for the sake of concealability. Call me when Taurus comes out with a 12 gauge version of the Judge. I'll figure out a way to conceal it.
24. I absolutely love my S&W M&P 15-22. It's tons of fun and quite accurate. The $400 price tag isn't easy to swallow for your first .22LR plinker, though.  However, you'll be WAY past that price tag with a 10/22 once you start adding what some call the "necessarry" upgrades, LOL.
25. Adding guns and naked women would be the only way you could get me to sit through a LOTR movie.
