Must be some serious butt-hurt involved to make a grown-a$$ man act like a 8 yr old. Stowe is a politician, so I'm not surprised he looks the least crazy in this scenario.

PBS Poll: Would you support more restrictive gun laws in your state?

I feel like a Democrat...I voted twice -
This lawsuit is the kind of case that makes me wish our country had a "loser pays" policy on court costs and lawyer fees. If there was some kind of risk associated with bringing frivolous suits, there'd be fewer of them.

seems that knee brace would be more effective under the jeans...but then again...this guy ain't about concealment, he's all about the "look at me"

Bushnell AR Optics 4.5-18x40mm BDC Reticle

Mine too! Funny how 20 years ago I'd be happy if something I ordered ONLY took 2 weeks to arrive. -
Sorry to hear you're having bad luck with your first order from them. My money would be on USPS being the ones that dropped the ball. I have ordered a lot of stuff from them and never been dissatisfied. In fact, I ordered 4 BCM/Vltor charging handles from them Friday and they arrived yesterday. If this were PSA that you were having a problem with, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

Walking from my front door to the mailbox and back with 1/2" of snow on the ground is treacherous to me. What this guy did...hell no!

I bet it's awesome! I think the Tokarev round is pretty b@d@ss too. Makes me miss the CZ 52 I traded away.

Good times, I used to have one of these. You pull the little hook back, stuff a cork in the end of the barrel, and commence to slaying bad guys...for all of 5 minutes til you loose all 3 corks that came with it. Truer words were never spoken, peejman!! Bad Santa gets my nod for best Christmas movie for grown-ups (tried to avoid using the term "adult movie" and Christmas in the same sentence).

I'd just about guarantee nobody here would badmouth another man's gun over what brand of barrel he uses, but I have seen that attitude on another forum, which I will not name, that is dedicated to AR15 rifles. I asked because you said you had good results with yours. If I were looking to build an 18" AR, I'd wouldn't turn my nose up at a DPMS barrel. I can't shoot good enough to warrant spending big money on a barrel. I prefer to spend my money on making the gun comfortable for my purposes and learning how to shoot it as best I can.

Fine work as always. Love that blade shape.

I've been told I look like a drunk in a bar fight when I dance. Who knew it was called Battle Dancing?

I dig the color scheme, looks nice. I also love that rail. I'll probably never build another 16" or longer AR without a 15" rail...it just works perfectly together. I'm curious what brand of barrel did you go with?

I have 2 buddies with a PCR and a Compact and they both like the metal base plates. I was just curious if I was being overly picky. I replaced them with P-01 base plates on mine.

Me neither, seems like 5 or 6 days is plenty of time to get past the "processing" status. -
Great looking grips! Really looks classy on that gun. I'm curious how you feel about the thin metal mag base plates that come with it?

Should I buy a press kit or individual pieces?

I have the top 3" of a row of blocks with the same 2x8 around the inside of my garage. It juts about 6" inward from wall all the way around the outside walls. I have to cut the back legs off of tables and cut notches into shelves in order to put things against the wall. It sucks. -
I like the looks of it and if it works as advertised, you can't beat the price. However, that's a lot of weight hanging out on the end of the barrel. Do you notice the added weight much? Seems like you would.

I am way too impatient for beam scales. I tried the Lee scale that came with my press and I tried an RCBS that I picked up used. The RCBS was a BIG step up in quality, but digital scales are the way to go, IMHO. While you're on Amazon.com, check out their tumblers. I bought the one below and after 3 years, the tub finally cracked and I had to duct tape it together. That lasted another year, then I emailed the company to ask about buying a new tub. They sent me one for free...pretty darn cool of them, if you ask me. http://www.amazon.com/Frankford-Arsenal-Master-Tumbler-Kit/dp/B000TTILBC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1417642972&sr=8-3&keywords=reloading+tumblers -

I laid 3/4" MDF on my bench and used bolts to go thru the MDF and the wood of the bench with wide fender washers underneath. Has held up for years of pushing and pulling. Where the lag screws come in handy is anchoring some sturdy L-brackets to a couple of wall studs. You definitely don't want your bench/table to have any wobble in it when you work the press. -

I think you made a very wise decision. I reloaded my first several thousand rounds on the cheaper Lee 4-hole turret press. My only regret was not getting the classic. I still have it setup for 9mm Makarov ammo. It's been worth every penny. If you haven't gotten a scale yet, I can't say enough good things about the Franford Arsenal Digital Scale]. I paid nearly $30 for it and consider that a steal, but at only $20 you really can't beat it. I've been using mine for about 5 years and haven't even needed new batteries yet. http://www.amazon.com/Frankford-205205-Arsenal-Reloading-Scale/dp/B002BDOHNA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1417642069&sr=8-6&keywords=frankford+arsenal -

I signed up for TFA at a gun show a few years back and they gave me a stack of these cards. The back had details about what requirements an HCP holder must have and something about how barring legally armed people won't prevent crime. Sadly, it didn't take long to give them all out to posted businesses.

I couldn't sharpen a knife worth a darn before I got a Sharp Maker. It'll make you look like a knife sharpening wiz. Now I have people who send knives home with me to sharpen all the time. I think they sell course rods too. You'll need them to get an edge started on harder steel like durell81 said.

In short barreled guns, I think +P ammo is a good choice for mitigating some of the velocity you lose. I caught a sale on 124 gr Speer Gold Dot +p in 50 rd LE boxes. I love them.
