My dad taught me to use a rifle sling to steady my shot deer hunting growing up. It works, but now I only shoot rifles at the range and they make you shoot from the bench. I'd use a sling more, if I had a place to shoot where I could use multiple shooting positions.

Seems weird to me to realize that FB is only 10 yrs old. Seems like it's been around forever. I personally hate it, although I keep an account active, since it's the only way I have to contact certain people (including family). They didn't turn a profit until 2009 and it wasn't much to brag about. It wasn't until the past 2 years when they really started mining their users' data and focusing on the mobile market that they started making obscene profits. It doesn't take a crystal ball to predict that the more invasive they get the more money they'll make. With over a billion users and just over 550M using their mobile device to do so, imagine how much money they'll make when they start adding GPS data to their already staggering amount of info they have about their users. You "Like" McDonald's on FB and suddenly when passing one, you get a message that one of your FB friends wants to meet you at the McD's you're coming up on...imagine what McDonald's would pay in advertising for that service.

If only they would ask people if they're crazy before selling them a gun, we'd all be safe from crazies with guns, right? I don't get the homicide ruling either. Just another desperate attempt not to let a good tragedy go to waste.

I bought 300 rounds of 30 gr Hornady V-Max a few weeks ago from the classifieds for $15/box because I was having such a hard time finding any anywhere.

I'm not making light of the situation, but sitting in your car for a couple of hours at that time of morning sounds odd to me. However, no more odd than a 6'3" black male weighing 250# happening by to bum a light and then raping someone. Seems like an odd scenario to me.

It's been my experience that most cycling issues I've had with semi-auto handguns using factory ammo has been my fault. I was either riding the slide or not gripping firmly enough. Luckily those are quick, easy, and free fixes.

I've also never really chosen based on the type of action. For me it's ergonomics and conceal-ability that matter most. If I had to pick a favorite though, it's DA/SA with a decocker.

These are my 2 favorite teams! I love to see them play each other, but I've been a Green Bay fan waaay too long not to favor them.

All that lipstick didn't make that pig any prettier, but it ain't about looks.

Springfield XD-s (5+1 of 230 gr .45 ACP), 26.75 oz

Pretty neat idea. Good point about the clip fouling your grip too.

Chicago Sings The Delta Blues As Guns Flow North
BigK replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It's pretty disgusting to have to buy a constitutional right for $10 a pop. If the thug in Chicago has no record (or no record yet  ) he has the same constitutional right to buy a gun as I do. Difference is that his state legislates against his rights and attempt to interpret his intents as justification for denying his rights. -

"Down South all you need is a clean record and a driver's license to buy a gun..." Well no $hit Sherlock, what else WOULD you need? If their complaint is that some thug paid someone $100 to buy him a gun, maybe there should be a law against it. Oh wait...there already is! So laws don't keep thugs from getting guns...stop the presses. -
nice knife, love it...I don't understand the clip, though how does that work?

where can I get my hands on one of these?

I just did, you know, to gather more data points. She's been so chill lately I'm starting to wonder if she' a unicorn or worse.

I have the XDs in .45 it's a great size for carry too. I prefer to carry it in my Bianchi Minimalist, but have 3 or 4 IWBs I can't grow to love. I'm curious how you carry yours. I see you added that pinky extension. I thought about that too, but didn't want the added height, since that's the hard part to conceal, not the length. I know it's a pretty small gun and all, but do you find the pinky extension makes it harder to conceal?

I got one when they first came out. Loved the gun. Thought it was made way better than it's price range indicates, especially the finish...very nice. Mine was pretty accurate and I liked the trigger, but it was my first 1911, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. I'd still have it if something I wanted worse and just couldn't pass up on hadn't came along when I didn't have the cash.
-
Agreed...the next time they see this gun will most likely be at a crime scene.

If I went with the LC9Sm, the other would be the SR9 (same goes for Shield and M&P Pro or XDs and XDm). Maybe that's wierd, but I like a consistent "feel" between guns, if possible. For instance, I love that when I take my compact CZ and any of my full size CZs to the range, they feel the same when I swap between them. I'd assume the others are the same.
