Anyone ever hear what happened with the plan to put a Walmart in La Vergne? I heard it was going in across from Fergus Rd. then I heard it was going in on the corner of Fergus Rd, now I'm hearing they're putting it on Sam Ridley in Smyrna. While I can't in all fairness blame her for poor traffic planning, I can't pass up the opportunity to join you in whining about this moronic intersection. The fact that A-holes have an empty left turn lane to use at all should be evidence enough that we don't need one. I'm with you, we needed a dedicated right tun off of Nri Shreibman ADDED to the intersection. It's way worse than it was before now. And the mayor has the nerve to send cops to the KFC parking lot to police traffic trying to cheat the intersection after they created the problem. I almost don't blame the A-holes that go thru the KFC lot, but I hate the ones that go straight thru the left turn lane or bully their way into traffic at the intersection. Then you look at the other side of the street, coming from I-24...they made the middle lane a left turn OR straight lane. That makes no sense either!

I've been eyeing one of these since they were $249, but never pulled the trigger. Even after I started reloading and was able to get the cost of 9mm down to an affordable price, it still seemed like a sensible investment in the long run. Now that .22 LR ammo is so hard to come by and is approaching the cost of my 9mm reloads, the only purpose I have for one is when I'm teaching someone to shoot. Assuming I can reload a 9mm for 13 cents or buy a .22LR for 10 cents, I'd have to shoot nearly 14K rounds to break even on a Kadet Kit, but I still want one, LOL. It's just not much of a priority unless .22 lr goes down to around 6 or 7 cents and becomes more available in bulk.

I'm not a fan of the recent mayor, personally. I'v lived in Lake Forrest almost 6 yrs now. It was MUCH better when I moved in than it is today. My water bill nearly tripled. We went from fancy police cars to fancy police SUVs. I worked next to the place that equipped them. They were NOT cheap. We lost several really good police officers that I liked during her administration. We built sidewalks and walking bridges to nowhere. Overall, I'm just saying we are NOT better off than before she was elected.

Stuck case on first reloading session!!

Are you kidding? My butt was puckered first few rounds of every new batch. It took me several trips to the range to relax and enjoy shooting up my kids' college funds. -
I agree, I can't imagine someone watching this flick and walking away disappointed. As far as walking away pumped up goes, I didn't expect to walk away from this movie feeling good. Like you said, his story is too heavy, tragic, and heartbreaking for that. If any of you are someone or know someone who did anything heroic in battle, you can relate to my favorite scene in the movie. Spoiler alert not necessary...he runs into someone whose life he'd saved over there and Bradley Cooper did an amazing job of showing how uncomfortable it would make a real hero when someone called him a hero to his face. I found it to be one of the most powerful scenes because if you're a big, strong, bad-ass, door kicking, well-trained, killing machine...like Kyle was trained to be...he's got to be a confident and strong-willed SOB, with a little swagger in his step ya know? Yet, when confronted with his achievements or being thanked face-to-face for his heroism, he's embarrassed to receive that kind of attention. It's was a real "lump in your throat" moment for me in the film.

NRA 2015 Annual Convention Nashville
BigK replied to 300winmag's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yesterday I emailed the NRA asking if they have booked OUR annual meeting at a venue that refuses to allow us to bear arms. Today I received their response: "According to TN State Law, concealed carry is not permitted in the Music City Center during the 2015 Annual Meetings and Exhibits." I ain't even mad at the convention center or whatever laws are/aren't applicable...I AM, however, furious at the NRA for knowingly choosing a venue that doesn't allow their members to practice the ONE SINGLE RIGHT that they were created to protect. -
I'm having similar trouble finding .32 acp fmj at a fair price.

After watching that video, I am quite impressed. I especially like how the priming system and shell holder are universal. You can't get much easier than this for die changes too. If only I needed a single stage press.

There's one on GunBroker right now for $350 with 4 days left. Hope that helps.

I thought we agreed on sashes with our names embroidered on them?

It was great to put some faces to names and see some folks I don't get to see often enough. Good times.

It's Nashville and Shoney's is near the airport. I'd be surprised if you're the only one wearing a cowboy hat, LOL.

I'm definitely in!! Not as interested in coaster size. Morale patch real estate is seldom big enough for such large patches.

Wow! Did you ever hit the nail on the head here! Poverty, drugs, and unemployment are just symptoms of what ails many black communities. In the 1940's the illegitimacy rate in the black community was only 14%...today it is 70%! Where are these kids learning how to be adults? I think too many of them would rather emulate Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy than a real role model like Mos Def or Will Smith.

I attempted a couple of the adjustable back chairs like this a couple of summers ago. The geometry alone was tough to pull off and they were just chairs, not a rocker. So, I commend you on the stringer/rocker work they look very sturdy. I bet an outdoor furniture store in Brentwood or Franklin could easily get $1K for one of those, especially if it were hardwood instead of pine. Find a store like that and see if they do consignment on the first one and if it sells fast, they might be willing to buy from you and sell at a mark-up to their existing customers.

I know a lot of people who bought their products on Primary Arms. We're all happy with the products. You guys are the first I know that have dealt with them directly. I need a 10.5" 5.56 barrel and they'd be my first stop, if the customer service issues are a fluke instead of the norm.

I've been around PBs, including my own, that I'd bet my life would never bite a human that didn't deserve it. However, I've heard too many "the dog just snapped" stories not think there's something to it. I still think it's got more to do with nurture than nature, though. If there was any generalization about a breed of dog that I DO agree with it's this one... I've never met one I liked and I've net met one that liked anyone but his owner. My mother-in-law moved in with us a few months ago. She brought one of these foul beasts with her. That little evil dog snarls, barks, and growls every time I walk into or leave the room. I, for one, will NOT be growled at by a dog in my own house. So, when I enter the living room and that dog growls, I will walk directly over to her, pick her up from my mother-in-law's lap and tell her no. I flip her over, forcing her belly up, and pet her belly. I guess I exude alpha hormones or something, because she ceases growling when I get within a few feet. Yet, no matter how many times I do this and/or bring her a treat and/or ignore her...this little dog just won't stop.

Whoa! Careful there, dude. Now you're getting into some territory where the BATFE might get involved. I'm sure some nit wit will send them a letter asking for a ruling about Mag Flipping PMags vs GI vs frangible Thermolds and get this whole thing shut down.

Sounds like a bargain! Can I pay you in .22LR ammo?
