  1. I'd like to buy that homeless guy a hot meal and a bottle of cheap booze...he deserves it!!
  2. This is where I think many stand on the issue. I'd imagine many of us are glad this scumbag isn't alive for his 15 minutes of fame. Even more are probably also glad he saved the taxpayers the expense of his trial and incarceration. However, with nobody alive to punish, a lot of us feel helpless and unsatisfied. I won't pretend to speak for everyone, but it leaves me with a lot of hard feelings and nothing to direct that anger toward other than those idiots that support and defend this nutjob and the atmosphere certain politicians foster that contribute these kinds of cowardly, evil acts.
  3. I've seen worse color combos, LOL. I love it!
  4. The last few I picked up at the gun show for $10 each, thinking they were a bargain, were fairly rusty. These look nice, assuming the picture is accurate. I'm tempted to pick up a few, even though I don't really need them.

    My new CZ

If you want a rail and the metal frame, you still have choices. The P-01 is the compact with an aluminum alloy frame and the SP-01 is the full size. Both have rails and both are fantastic. P-01: SP-01: My SP-01 has the full-blown CZ Custom trigger job with competition hammer. The DA trigger feels like a S&W revolver from their performance center line-up, but with about a 1/8" reset due to the firing pin block being removed. Worth every penny, IMHO.

The P-07 and P-09 have the Omega trigger system instead of the standard 75 trigger system. I don't know how they did it, but the pull is buttery smooth, especially in SA. IMO, it's the best SA/DA trigger system out of the box. Nothing this side of a tuned up 75 trigger even comes close. I bet you'd love it. Meprolight is the company that makes tritium night sights for the CZs. There are 2 models ML17777 (#5 height, standard) and ML17775 (#4 height, low profile). Both fit all CZ 75/85 models including compacts that have standard push in front sights. I have the low profile set on my P-01 and the standard set on my PCR. Unfortunately, the P-07/P-09 guns have proprietary sights that I've only seen on the CZ-USA.com website ($90'ish). It's hard to find them in stock, but it's getting better now that they have a relationship established with Mepro.
  7. Just what I needed: a holster as big as my granny's coffee table Bible and so complicated that I'm guaranteed to be late to the gun fight, sold to me by a ninny with a pinky ring and an ID bracelet...and who wears a white cuffed white collared dress shirt and tie with tactical pants?

I think they worked out all of the bugs pretty quickly with the P-07. Several of my friends have newer ones and are all in love with their guns. I've heard nothing but great reviews on the P-09. I have a CZ Phantom, which is their first full size polymer gun, and I love that gun. It's a little bit less blocky than the P-09, but it doesn't have as good a trigger.
  9. I see what you did there! NICE!
  10. I thought only hipsters and teenagers used macs, LOL. Just kidding, I don't even own a PC/laptop anymore. I only use an iPad. I'm an audiobook junkie. I store them in mp3 format and load them on my phone to listen to on my commute. I actually look forward to my morning/evening drives. I'll definitely get this audiobook soon!
  11. There's nothing a politician, even a low-rung one at the local level, hates worse than being bound by purse strings. If it's any consolation to anyone in Sumner County, I'm sure the money will stay local, like some commissioner's brother-in-law's construction company or the like. Yet there's still a silver lining: Sumner county is still among the lowest property tax rates in middle TN.
  12. I'm very proud of the kid and wish he could be proud of himself too. What he did is NOT a bad thing at all. In fact, the only way this could have been better is if he'd gotten them both.
  13. Seem like it's usually something a guy did or said that put him under evaluation, not the mere fact that he owned a lot of guns and ammo and had an escape plan. Nonetheless, it'd be typical of the media to seize any opportunity to associate "crazy" and "owning guns".   I'm hoping a case like this comes up one day and the gun owner is adjudicated as mentally sound and turns around and sues the living crap out of the gov't and wins. A big case worth say $100M would really cripple some budgets.
  14. I don't know how the inner workings of a case like this works, nor do I know how the DA and TBI interact beyond presentation of the facts of the investigation and prepping for testimony questions. For these 2 to get this spun up, I wonder if the DA has decided not to use some evidence Gwyn thinks is important or something like that.
  15. Must be some serious butt-hurt involved to make a grown-a$$ man act like a 8 yr old. Stowe is a politician, so I'm not surprised he looks the least crazy in this scenario.
  16. I feel like a Democrat...I voted twice
  17. This lawsuit is the kind of case that makes me wish our country had a "loser pays" policy on court costs and lawyer fees. If there was some kind of risk associated with bringing frivolous suits, there'd be fewer of them.
  18. seems that knee brace would be more effective under the jeans...but then again...this guy ain't about concealment, he's all about the "look at me"
  19.   Mine too! Funny how 20 years ago I'd be happy if something I ordered ONLY took 2 weeks to arrive.
  20. Sorry to hear you're having bad luck with your first order from them. My money would be on USPS being the ones that dropped the ball. I have ordered a lot of stuff from them and never been dissatisfied. In fact, I ordered 4 BCM/Vltor charging handles from them Friday and they arrived yesterday. If this were PSA that you were having a problem with, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.
  21. Walking from my front door to the mailbox and back with 1/2" of snow on the ground is treacherous to me. What this guy did...hell no!
  22. I bet it's awesome! I think the Tokarev round is pretty b@d@ss too. Makes me miss the CZ 52 I traded away.
  23. Good times, I used to have one of these. You pull the little hook back, stuff a cork in the end of the barrel, and commence to slaying bad guys...for all of 5 minutes til you loose all 3 corks that came with it. Truer words were never spoken, peejman!! Bad Santa gets my nod for best Christmas movie for grown-ups (tried to avoid using the term "adult movie" and Christmas in the same sentence).
  24. I'd just about guarantee nobody here would badmouth another man's gun over what brand of barrel he uses, but I have seen that attitude on another forum, which I will not name, that is dedicated to AR15 rifles. I asked because you said you had good results with yours. If I were looking to build an 18" AR, I'd wouldn't turn my nose up at a DPMS barrel. I can't shoot good enough to warrant spending big money on a barrel. I prefer to spend my money on making the gun comfortable for my purposes and learning how to shoot it as best I can.
  25. Fine work as always. Love that blade shape.
