1. I have a couple of customized CZs. One is a SP-01 with a lot of work done on it and the other is a 75 Shadow Custom. Both are absolutely top-notch shooters that I'll probably never be able to wring the maximum performance out of with my limited skills.   I've had dozens of people give both a try and all were amazed at the trigger and accuracy. For the money, I think anyone, but the most die hard custom 1911 fan would be ecstatic with the SP-01 Shadow.

First, I'm VERY proud of the fact that so many people complained about the posting that it made a difference and they recognized the potential loss of sales.   Second, I'm happy to know a corporation that big is smart enough to be flexible in their policies like that. In another town that was predominantly anti-gun, taking down that sign would have as much negative effect.   The owner and/or his policy makers probably couldn't care less about the 2nd Amendment rights of citizens in Mt. Juliet, TN, but they care about the money and made a smart choice. I'll take that small win and smile.
3. I've never had a brother-in-law I liked very much, so I'd get mine a single stage press.   Since you seem to like your brother-in-law, I'd recommend a turret press instead.

Steak rant.

anything past medium rare is burnt to me, LOL

Steak rant.

I like to watch Hell's Kitchen and noticed they refer to medium rare as "regular". They kind of act like it's a big deal when someone orders a steak any other way. They usually sear, then finish in an oven, then let the meat rest until it reaches the right temperature before serving. Right or wrong, it looks good on TV.

Steak rant.

My grill at home doesn't get hot enough to properly sear a steak, so I have to pan sear them in a cast iron skillet. They're still good, but not as good as a quality steak house.   If any of you ever get over to Smyrna on a Fri or Sat around 5:30 or 6:00, give Hickory Falls prime rib a shot. Best I ever had.
7. Congrats on the new gun!   Totally bada$$ gun...love to have one too. It's the only gun that I'd be willing to bend over for Uncle Sam for to get an SBR stamp.
8. I'm glad they got him.
9. This thread makes me feel a lot better about the sea foam green '71 Dodge Coronet I drove in high school in the late '80s. My friends called it the big green booger...and that was fair.   It had a white fender and a dark green door (from a '72 Plymouth Satellite, IIRC) on the passenger side. I rigged up a toggle switch mounted on the dash that had to be flicked on/off when starting/stopping to bypass a bad solenoid relay. Third and reverse gears were bad in the transmission, so I had to back up with my left foot out the driver door. And the previous owner tried to peel off the white vinyl top leaving an attractive collage of exposed glue, ragged bits of vinyl, and rust.   All-in-all, I guess I'm saying I loved that car. It represented freedom and independance I only paid $375 for it and learned everything I know about cars by working on it.
10. ...and I thought shooting tannerite loaded skeet would get expensive, jeesh
11. My ex-wife drove a brown Ford Pinto wagon when we were in high school. Then she upgraded to a Mustang II and her brother got the wagon. He definitely got the best end of that deal!!       that's hilarious!
12. I was watching a Colion Noir video and he mentioned tannerite strapped to skeet. It was so brilliant I had to google it. Turns out a couple of people have tried it...      I'm so jealous...I want to try this so bad.

      exactly!!
14. If he were holding an AR-15 and the lion was chasing <insert most hated Democrat this week here>, I'd vote for him.

I wrapped my phone in tinfoil, you know...just in case. I'm pretty confident that will do the trick...not sure, though, can't see the screen.
16.   I heard a lot of that Chevy vs Ford talk when I was in HS. I didn't understand it then and I don't understand it now. If USA Today is to be believed, maybe Chevy owners are just mad that their brand keeps getting outsold by Fords? I can understand that a little; stupid Glocks keep outselling my beloved CZs.
17. He's always been one of my favorite actors/directors and not just because he and I share a birthday. I wish he'd make at least one more good western before he hangs up his spurs and saddle.   Edit: Holy Cow! Just checked...it's been 23 years since he made a western!!
18. Like that blade shape. Those would look nice with matching black scales in a black leather sheath. I'm thinking right hand draw for the long one and left hand draw for the short one from a scout carry position similar to a Hedgehog Leather design.
19. Impressive group. Hard to beat a good bolt-action rifle.
20. Nice truck! F-250's are sweet, especially with the Lariat package.
21. that was awesome!!
22. It's no wonder today's generation are so soft. The most dangerous thing they get to play with is a cell phone or a video game controller. They grow up to be the kind of men who call roadside assistance to install a spare tire in their OWN driveway or hire a contractor to build their kids a tree house. That is...IF they hang around with baby-momma long enough to actually see their kids grow up.
23. Kudos, sounds like a good gig. I know what you mean about the indoor work. I dread that walk to and from my air-conditioned truck to my air-conditioned office everyday. LOL
24. I know somebody over at the SRHEC range, I'll see if I can get in touch with him to see what it'd cost to rent that range on the far left out there.   Would everyone be willing to pony up some money for something like that?
25. I only JUST learned about hamon lines on Forged In Fire last week...looks like you did it better than the guys on the show did. KUDOS
